Responding to his ad in the Hudson Hub Times, I hired Joe Vitrano of All Pro Painting and Powerwash from Akron, Ohio on April 26, 2010 to powerwash and paint the exterior of my home. He was quick to return my call, and give an estimate for the job, which was lower than any of the other estimates I had received. After telling him I had chosen him to do the job, he then called me on April 28, and assured me he would be out to powerwash on the 29th, and I was to leave him a check for 1/3 the total payment. I left a check for $475.00 made out to Joe Vitrano in an envelope, as promised behind my front storm door. He came that day, completed the powerwashing portion of the job, and picked up the check (it was cashed by him right away). We spoke that evening, he assured me he would be out "in a few days" to scrape, prime and caulk. Not only did he never show up to complete the job, but he has not returned any of my calls. It has been almost a month now, with my last call to him last week. I know he didn't drive his truck over a cliff, as I had two of my best friends call him, "responding to his ad in the Hub Times" and he called them both back immediately, saying he could "do the job" in just a few days. He stole my money, he lied to me, and he doesn't deserve to work. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney General this week. The Hudson Hub Times advertising dept tells me they can "flag a note" regarding him, but they "don't think" they can stop him from advertising with them. Please don't let him do to you, what he did to me.
