We had a man named Ray that came out. He took time to explain to our daughter what he was doing, how it would work. He told her that she could make a masking tape fence to keep the ants away. He calmed her fears and reassured her. He explained to her how it worked. They took care of the problem, but also handled the situation very well.

I found bugs had been around a window and done some damage. They came in and examined the damage and what the bugs left behind. They determined they were small ants, not larger carpenter ants. But they were not there given the time of the year. This area was hidden by bushes during warmer months. They sprayed both inside and outside the house and will back in the spring to follow up. They were punctual, knowledgeable and professional.

Each year, they do an excellent job

We kept hearing noises in our walls and ceilings and we didn’t know what the noise was. They were able to come out several times to try to figure out the source of the noise. They finally found that it was mice. They were excellent and so thorough. We were very satisfied with their service. They were prompt, professional and came out when they said they would. We have not had any problem since their last visit.

They will give us an early season discount and they allow us to bill them over the year. We've had bees and have had problems in our bushes; we have also had problems with spiders. They will come right out again to spray. We can call anytime and they will be right out.

I didn't have to be home which was great.

My daughter and I had heard scratching noises in our ceiling areas. I called on Oct. 15 and Roger arrived within an hour and a half. He got as much information as I was able to describe for him. He inspected the outside of my house, then the basement, the crawl space above the second floor, then the space above the garage. He felt certain that it was mice we had been hearing and that they were coming in through the garage. He placed poison in all three areas and explained to me what to expect, what the guarantee was and under what circumstances I should call to have him return. He was here less than an hour and a half, and we have heard no scratching since. He was extremely polite, respectful and explained everything very well.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional and thorough. He listened carefully as I explained the problems, and spent a lot of time looking at the exterior and interior of the house. He found evidence of mice in the house and a larger varmint in the garage. He even found an open place in the foundation where animals were going in and out! He treated all the areas and explained everything. He also advised how to cover the open area. We have had no problems since then. I would definitely recommend them.

Ray came out an evaluated the nests and their activity. Before using any treatment, he made sure the nest was still active. He was very thorough in his evaluation and used the least amount of chemicals he could to get the job (which is guaranteed) done

We arrived to our new residence from Washington, D.C. on 8/13/12. While the movers were unloading our furniture, the DirectTV technician noticed a hole in the ground with a large wasps' nest; many of which were swarming all over the place. Since we're new to the area, we didn't know who to call after our failed attempt to kill the wasps with wasps' spray from Home Depot. I decided to use the Yellow Pages app on my iPhone to find an exterminator, and the first listing was Akron Pest Control. In the past, we've had sub-par experiences with other pest control contractors. Being overcharged and under-serviced, or outright being ripped off, seemed to be the norm. This was not the case with Akron Pest Control. My call was answered by a very pleasant and knowledgeable representative named Margaret. Initially, Margaret told me it would take a day to get a technician to come out, since I was calling late on a Friday. I agreed to a Monday appointment. About 15-minutes later, she called me back and informed me that she had a technician that was willing to come out immediately. She also gave me the exact price it would cost for their service. Within 20 minutes the technician arrived. We have almost three acres, and before starting on the wasp hole, he asked if he could survey the rest of the property. I told him there was no need, as I didn't want to be charged for any extra work. Dave informed me there was no charge for looking. Within a few minutes he uncovered two more large nests. He then dawned a full bee protection suit and went to work. Within 30 minutes he was done. I then asked him about a full home inspection, since our home is 93 years old; and yearly service. Dave and Akron Pest Control gave me a great deal for (4) quarters, guaranteed work (meaning once they treat the home, if we find insects or mice, they will come out and take care of it at no extra charge....within reason of course). Additionally, they decided to absorb the cost of the wasp issue and not charge me, since I was signing up for the yearly four quarter plan. Dave and another technician came back out Monday and spent several hours going over the home, detached in-law suite and property. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism, and more importantly, the honesty of Akron Pest Control.

They came out 1 day after I talked with them on the phone. While scheduling the service I mentioned that I had a coupon from Angie's list and was told that I'd get a better discount if I was a senior citizen. I was surprised by being offered even more of a discount. They came out the next day and sprayed for both red and black ants. I also paid for them to spray for spiders since I have an unfinished basement. They gave me a 1 year guarantee on the ants and 6 months for the spiders. I would certainly call them again if I need them.

I was very pleased with this provider. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They came out at least twice a week to check on the traps. The only time I had to call them was when a squirrel was caught in a trap (twice on a weekend), and they arrived quickly whenever that occurred. Roger was extremely helpful and knowledgeable both about animal removal and about roofing issues. Brian was friendly and pleasant even when his weekend was interrupted to remove squirrels. He offered good advice about the vent problems on my roof and possible solutions, and I always felt we were working together to solve the problem. This was a relief to me because I had previous experience when I felt pressured to continue work and spend money even though results were questionable. We caught a number of squirrels on my roof, until I was no longer hearing noises, then discontinued. Because the set up charge lasts for a year, if there is a problem in the fall (which I hope to avoid by fixing the vents) I will not have to pay again, except for caught squirrels.My only issue with the pricing was that I probably could have stopped using the traps earlier and avoided the extra cost of a couple of random squirrels visiting my roof after the squatters had been removed which was mostly my responsibility rather than theirs. I will definitely call Akron pest Control again if I have need of any kind of pest removal.

I called for an appointment and they worked me in within 2 days. Tom, who actually did the spraying, was early and explained everything that he was going to do and what I needed to do after he was done. He was polite, clean, informative and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very professional. They came out on time and did a good job. They came right back out when we had problems with the carpentar bees.

They were here in the last week and they are coming back because of squirrels in the attic. After the first time there is no charge, then they just keep coming out and empting the trap. They are just wonderful.

Everyone from the office manager to the service technician were outstanding to work with. They were prompt, courteous and on time. Actually, I was a few minutes late to the property and he was waiting for me. The nice thing about the time is it wasn't a range (between noon and 4), it was an actual set time. The price quoted is exactly what I paid. The service also comes with a 6 month guarantee, which is great. I would recommend them and will to anyone in need of their service. A very nice, professional operation!

I had a stink bug problem, those little creatures are so annoying! When I called Akron Pest Control I was assured that they could easily rid me of the little pests. The technician was right on time. He took time to explain the process, answer all my questions and relieve any of my concerns regarding the use of chemicals. He completely sprayed every area. I learned that the chemicals not only would rid my home of stink bugs but also carpenter ants, bees, and spiders. This was a bonus for me since I live in a wooded area. The services are guaranteed for six months. I appreciated that they used unmarked cars so that no one was area of my pest problem. I will certainly used them in they future.

I still have the rental several years later and there has been no termite activity. I did get rid of my wife however.

The technician is wonderful in going above and beyond to keep safety in mind in a home with pets and children. The technicians are professional yet very personable and friendly.

In the fall of 2010 we smelled skunks in our front yard and suspected they were getting under the wooden porch. Akron Pest Control came out and set up traps on either side of the porch. There was no action around the traps all through the winter. They didn't come back to pick up the traps, and we just let it go, thinking they'd come and get them when they were ready. After that we kind of forgot they were there. Then in April, my husband was looking around our yard and spotted something in one of the traps. It was a skunk. We called Akron Pest Control, and they came out immediately and removed the skunk and both traps.They were always prompt and helpful, and they sucessfully removed the skunk without a whiff remaining! Two hundred and thirty dollars sounds like a lot, but it was worth every penny not to have to try to remove the skunk ourselves!

I was working on the front porch when these guys came out and there was a nest that was there. It takes at least 30days for these to die. I would rate them high overall.
