I woke up in the morning horrified to find yellow jackets in my house - about a half dozen or more flying around the living room. I found APC on Angie's List and called them. The gentleman who answered the call was very professional and nice and gathered my information. He said that he could get someone out to my house that morning. I was quite pleased that someone was there within 20 minutes of my making the call! Dave arrived and first removed the yellow jackets that were in the house with a vacuum tool. We were not exactly sure where they were coming in, so he did a pretty thorough job inspecting mouldings, baseboards, the fireplace and windows to try an locate the entry point. Ultimately, he went outside where he found that they had apparently made a nest in the chimney. He then suited up, got on a ladder and poisoned the nest. There were a few more yellow jackets to be vacuumed up inside, which he did. He explained that most of them should be dead and that if the problem did not subside by Monday, to call them back. Over the weekend, I didn't see any further activity outside by the nest, so I sealed up the hole with silicone. Unfortunately, by Monday or Tuesday, we were starting to see a few more yellow jackets here and there in the house. I scheduled an appointment with them to come back out. They came on Thursday morning as promised and right on time. This time it was Dave and Tom. They explained that there may have been a few more yj's in the nest and that by closing up the hole, I was preventing them from getting out any other way but through the fireplace. They thoroughly taped around the damper door and outside they dug out the silicone and re-treated the nest. There was no charge for this visit as their work was guaranteed. Dave also explained that I should wait at least several weeks before filling in the hole. My only critique is that I wish they had offered that information the first time when they were there. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Both Dave and Tom were very professional, courteous and it was clear they knew exactly what to do. We have not had any more yj's in the house since their subsequent visit, so I am quite sure the issue is resolved. My family and I just moved into a new home and noticed there were a couple wasp nests hanging around. My husband also was stung while mowing the yard. We called and explained the problem, the lady on the phone was very nice and got a service call out very quickly within a few days. When the gentleman arrived, I showed him our concerns. It turns out there were A LOT MORE bees than we thought. I was expecting to see dollar signs after he finished describing the work, but it was just as quoted. A very fair and reasonable price! AND... it comes with a guarantee and it covers the entire season! With 2 smaill kids, 2 dogs, AND a baby on the way I would have paid double just to get the bees gone, but I didn't have to. I am so glad I called Akron Pest Control!

Looking back we used Akron Pest about 3 years ago for carpenter ants. We found a consistent trail of ants up the siding of our house at the time and over the counter stuff didn't do a thing. Akron Pest came in and treated not only that spot but a thorough area within and outside of our house for $300. Ants, spiders, all those creepy crawlies just sorta went away. The service man additionally asked about any colonies I knew of, told him about 2 or 3 in the grass and he treated those as well. Seeing the same kind of issue this year, but haven't investigated enough to find a single source. We'll see what we find Thursday. *Update* No major source found however they worked to spray and protect the exterior and "problem areas" within the house. Ray was punctual, courteous and explained all the details answering any questions. In and out approx 1 hour. 1 yr guarantee with this service.

I love them! We use them on a regular basis. We had used them in the past for a bee's nest and a chipmunk issue. We called them back for the new nest and they told us we would continue to have issues due to a neighbor's pond. He suggested we get on a yearly plan and they would come out 4 times a year. That was the same price as the one time call so he saved me money. I am very pleased with the price. They are timely. The man we have had the past two times is fantastic. He is more than willing to discuss the chemicals and how they would interact with my children and pets. He has left me with extra baits for the chipmunks and set the baits in places I would not have thought of, like my shed. I was simply worried about my house! He went above and beyond. He was here for 2 hours the day he was here. I would have never expected that. He was very thorough. And my children love him!

My call was answered by a very friendly and helpful person who fully explained what to expect and what their fees were. Two men came out and set a trap at each end of the porch. The explained how skunks "operate" and what to expect. They did say that it was possible there were no skunks living under the porch, but that it was a regular stopping spot for a traveling male skunk. They checked the traps regularly and, fortunately or unfortunately, we never caught a skunk. We haven't smelled a skunk since then either, so perhaps the traps worked to keep the skunks from coming back. I was very pleased that this company was willing to try to trap skunks, because no other exterminating company that I called would consider this job. I would definitely use this company again.

We have used this company at least three times and they have delivered consistently good service each time.

We receive reminder mailers to schedule pre-season bee control at their discounted rate. I called to make an appointment and they were out to treat for bees and spiders within a week. We have used Akron Pest for 3 years and have had the same quality service. If we need them to return, they do so promptly and without complaint. We have used experminators in the past, but have NEVER had as high quality service as we get with Akron Pest Control. I would recommend them to anyone who needs pest control!

I purchased a home that had been vacant for two years and had an unbelievable problem. Carpenter ants had colonized in the walls of the laundry room on the lower level!!! Akron Pest came back three times and stood behind their guarantee and treated the ants until they were entirely knocked out!!! They additionally treated the ant hills outside the home and made certain to eliminate any future problems. They we extemely detailed and explained everything they were going to do to help get my ant problem under control. We had just had a little girl and were very sensitive to having ants around her as well as any toxic products - akron pest was very understanding in working around our schedule and concerns to complete their work - THANK YOU!
