+ -1 moreThe ladies in the office were great, prices were in line with everyone else and everything was good with a big exception.....The truck delivering my gravel left part of the gate open and spilled a significant supply of gravel all (and I mean all) over the neighborhood. There was a trail of 1/2 mile long of gravel leading to my house. It was really been embarrassing as the pile of gravel in my driveway and the end of the trail at my house shows that I am involved in the crime. To top it off the driver misread the order and left a few of the items that I had ordered off which I had to go and pick up from the yard so that I could work on the project before they closed for the holiday weekend. As they say, the last point of contact is who leaves the impression on the customer.
Description of Work: Ordered 5 yds of gravel and some related supplies for a few backyard projects.

+ -1 moreI'm quite pleased with this company. They also do landscaping in addition to general clean-ups and things like that. They are very reliable and I think a little more personalized than some other companies.
Description of Work: Pamela Hersh, the owner of this company, makes sure my two acre lawn is cut and fertilized each month for me. They also do a clean up each time they come out to remove any waste or debris that has accumulated.

+ -1 moreThe arrangements that they do are beautiful. The people who do the arrangements are very creative and skilled. Their prices are also good for this area. The delivery is prompt and in general, I think the world of the beautiful work they do. I have only used them for smaller types of services, but I always leave feeling great. Now, you can purchase plants, use them for landscaping layouts, weddings, or more dramatic occasions too. They are quite helpful.
Description of Work: I ordered a floral arrangement to be sent to someone elses door by this florist not too long ago.

+ -1 moreThe problem was there was as much dirt, mulch and mud as there was stone. Maybe prior delivery was mulch or fill, and they never cleaned the bucket or truck? Either way it cost me twice as much time and effort sorting and cleaning the stone prior to installation. I was not happy.
Description of Work: I ordered and had them deliver three yards of decorative stone. Stone order was for 3/4 inch or larger stone, which was half of what I received was tiny gravel like stone.

+ -1 moreI THINK THAT WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH YORKTOWN GARDEN SUPPLY. I WAS VERY SPECIFIC ABOUT THE COLOR OF GRAVEL I WANTED. THE GIRL IN THE OFFICE WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE MATERIALS THAT THEY STOCKED. I THOUGHT IT SEEMED A BIT PRICEY, BUT SINCE I WAS VERY SPECIFIC IN MY REQUEST AND THEY DELIVERED THE MATERIAL, I WAS VERY HAPPY.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED TO BUY GRAVEL FOR ONE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE WHICH IS VERY SHADED. SINCE GRASS CAN'T GROW THERE WE THOUGHT GRAVEL WOULD BE THE BEST ANSWER. WE BOUGHT 2 YARDS FOR $60 AND THE BALANCE OF THE FEE WAS FOR DELIVERY, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.
