It went great. They quoted a good price, came out and measured quickly and got them installed fast. They look wonderful and I'm very happy with the quality of their work. Would absolutely use them again!

I went to Ecua Stone and picked out the slab in person. Luis (owner) came by the house to do the template. My husband removed the old laminate countertop. Note that you will not have a countertop from the template measurement to the installation which takes about a week. I went back to Ecua Stone in a few days to determine how to cut the slabs to make most of the stone design. Luis and his team carried the extremely heavy countertops up our many front stairs and installed with no issue. I liked being able to pick out the slab as small samples are not fully representative of what varying slabs could look like.

I cannot speak highly enough about Luis Pichasaca's work. He arranged for us to visit his stone yard, patiently pulled out slabs, & patiently answered questions. When we found slabs at another stone yard, he had them brought to his yard. He personally came to measure and template, then, a week later, when the templates were done, he spent a few hours with us and our designer puling out the slabs and positioning the templates to best show the beauty of the stone. Luis knows his stuff. He loves stone. He is also a perfectionist. He had a previously scheduled vacation that came smack in the middle of when we hoped to have the countertops templated; he was willing to have his guys come and do the measuring/templating but he was not happy about it. We opted to wait for him to return. Given the meticulous approach he took, we are glad we did. Luis came to the installation, supervised his guys, and took care of the two small seams himself. The countertops are gorgeous. I should also say that he went above and beyond typical service in two ways. Due to some miscommunication, the brackets necessary for holding up a breakfast bar were not ordered in time for the countertop installation. Luis held that piece of stone for us and had his guys make a second trip to install that when the brackets arrived. He didn't change us for that, which may have been because we are just across town from him, but it was also very kind. And, although we ordered two whole slabs and only used part of the second slab, he charged us only for what we used. Not typical, and again, very kind.
