They installed the roofing material hanging too high that it catches the bottom of the door to the roof i catching the roofing material. It had already scratch marks in the whole opening area. When we pointed it out, he admitted it was not done correctly and would send workers to redo it. Then the next day, he wrote, it was not their poor quality work, but the defect door. Even to lay people, it is so obvious, except to this roofer. We paid the full amount what we agreed upon, but he never came back to fix the badly done spots. The company owner was hardly ever at the site leaving the workers do the work without any supervision and the owner had no idea what was going on. The communication between the workers and the owner did not seem to exist. Because worker kept saying he did not know about the skylights, we decided not to have the skylights installed by them even though the installation was under the estimate. We paid $1200 to our general contractor to get them installed. Then the roofer added extra $500 for the skylights. He keeps changing his reasons for extra charge, we got a wrong type of skylights, he never agreed to do it etc. We worked with several contractors, renovating a four story townhouse in three months. Thank god, all the other contractors were honorable and did excellent jobs. Fisher roofing is truly disappointing in every way. They even threat customer to put a lien when it is them who did not finish the job correctly.
Description of Work: Not a very good quality work in general. Adding extra charge without ever discussing it beforehand. Charging extra for the items he agreed to do under the estimate. Charging extra for something my general contractor did. When asked what were the items on the extra charge list, he has not explained. Harassing customer with a threat to put a lien. Never corrected the badly done spots.

THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS, THE CONTRACTOR (STEVE FISHER, THE OWNER) DIDN'T CLIMB UP THE LADDER & EXAMINE MY ROOF AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PROJECT. IF HE HAD OF, HE WOULD HAVE SEEN THE ROTTED FACIA BOARD. AS A RESULT, THE CONTRACTOR HAD TO ADD ON $775.00 EXTRA COST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROJECT. THAT WASN'T A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR ME, BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW GOING IN.
Description of Work: They replaced 1/4 to 1/3 of my roof including ice & water shield & 3 tab asphalt shingles. They also replaced facia board & gutter & re-flashed around protruding objects.
