Description of Work: I had him replace some of my old water pipes with plastic ones. He did a great job and even gave me a senior discount. And he calls you back when you call him!

Description of Work: We were building a new home and he was in on the plans from the very beginning. The first heating system he installed was greatly undersized which was apparant during our first winter. The second heating unit he installed was equally terrible. The central air that he installed was also undersized. He charged us the price of new equipment however was using a used unit that he repainted to look new. He was never on time and in the end would not return our phone calls. We ended up having to hire a new company and everything had to be redone.

Description of Work: Joe Carcaramo owner/operator of Mid Hudson heating and Plumbing was called to trouble shoot a propane fireplace. He showed up on crutches with no tools. He poked around for several minutes, then realized that the propane fireplace was connected to a switch on the wall, he flipped the switch and the fireplace worked. Total actual time spent looking at the FP: 6 minutes Time spent talking about his personal possessions (showing my kids pictures of his new hot rod-10-15 minutes). Mr. Carcaramo then presented me with an invoice for 237.60-which I refused to pay, since items on the invoice, i.e. work that he said he did was NEVER done. In a subsequent phone call form Mr. Carcaramo he physically threatened my husband, necessitating law enforcement involvement. He didn't even have tools I had to lend him a screwdriver. He has since sued me and my husband in two different lawsuits, necessitating our loss of work and expenses toward the lawsuit, judgement pending.
