I waited for him at the location with the cash in my pocket and drove to the location which was in northern Westchester and he had the "family emergency" excuse. He seemed nice and reliable on the phone but now my musically gifted 10 year old niece was waiting for her gift and nothing in the world can buy my time or change this outcome. I hope your daughter is better Frank! A simple no would've been best and i could've made other arrangement. I wasted my valuable day off and had a disappointed child. If you want disappointment this is your mover.

Frank advised he would show up with his team at 8am. He showed up at 8am. They took the piano out of the home without any issue. Frank advised they would need to stop in Brooklyn before coming to Queens. They showed up at our condo in Queens around 2pm. Took them a half hour to bring the piano up the stairs. Original price agreed upon was $350, but due to the difficulty and structure of our stairs, Frank requested $400 as the new price. I agreed seeing the difficulty of the situation. I would highly recommend Frank and his team if you need to move a piano. Don't bother getting other quotes.

Frank gave me a pick up time (9am-11am) and they showed up at 9:15am. Very punctual. Two guys wrapped the piano and moved it into the truck. They came to my house by 10:15am and took only 10 mins to move the piano to the basement. They were very efficient and my piano was not damaged. The price was also very competitive. Would hire them again. I like the fact that I don't need to give too much advance notice to schedule an appointment for the weekend.

My experience with Big Piano Movers was very mixed. My contact was Frank (the main number seemed like his cell phone), and initially I was very happy with the quote I was given and their ability to pick up and deliver on the same day - being a Sunday. He told me to expect the pick-up between 10am - 12pm, and the drop off between 4 - 6pm. The issues began when I received a text from my father at 7:00am on the day of the move (at the pick-up location), who informed me that the piano movers showed up 3 hours early! Being that I had plans that afternoon, I then began frantically calling Frank to confirm that the drop-off time would still be the same. After numerous calls, he picked up the phone, and confirmed that the piano would arrive between 4 and 6, as discussed. However, around 2pm, I received a panicked call from my boyfriend (who was at our home - the delivery location), saying that the piano movers were there, and without my presence (and the money I had on me) they were threatening to put the piano back on the truck and leave! I then rushed home in 20 minutes, and arrived to find my piano on a cart on the sidewalk with the group of movers standing around it. Frank was leading the group, and even though I approached the situation with a handshake and the statement and quot;I'm sorry, I believe there must have been a misunderstandingand quot;, Frank met me with a raised voice, spitting out some of the following: and quot;I told you we'd be here between 12 and 2; you've wasted my time; I should put this piano back on the truck; you can't leave the house during the delivery time, and quot; etc. He refused to acknowledge that he had made a mistake, or that there could have been a failure to communicate, and all I could do was say, and quot;well I'm here now, so let's just do it.and quot; In the end, the piano was delivered safely, and seems to be in working order without any major bumps or scratches that I can see, however I found Frank's demeanor abrasive and unprofessional.

I called Big Piano Movers for a quote and the price seemed reasonable. I needed to get a certificate of insurance before scheduling the move, so Frank gave me the number to call to get it. It would have been nice if he could have taken care of it for me, but I was able to get the certificate I needed with relatively little hassle. Once I had the certificates, scheduling the move was quick and it went smoothly. They showed up on time and worked swiftly.

We expected to use the elevators in both locations but it didn't fit. Frank was great! He made it happen and I am so happy that I used Big Piano Movers. It was a last minute move. He was super flexible and really professional. Was quoted crazy prices from other movers.

Frank and partner arrived on time, carefully wrapped console, got it down 27 steps to street level, and then loaded/fastened it in their truck. Travel to destination was uneventful. Console was unloaded, unwrapped and put in place. The job was well done. Frank even added in some helpful tips on piano maintenance before leaving. Overall, they were very professional, very efficient, and very reasonably priced...it was a good experience.

They were great! They moved a 35and quot; acrosonic piano from the east village to north brooklyn. We set the pick-up time for 8am, they showed up 10min early and had the piano wrapped and out the door by 8am. This building had an elevator. They brought it to a 2-story walk-up building in brooklyn, got it up 2 flights of stairs, the second flight of stairs were narrow and it was a tight squeeze rounding the corner to the apartment but they made it work, no scratches no problems i was enormously pleased. They were professional, fast, punctual, I highly recommend them. They were also much less expensive than any other place I called! I couldn't be more happy.

Extremely well. From start to finish everything went smoothly. Scheduling, arrival, wrapping piano, moving the piano, relocating and setting up the piano. They even polished the pedals because they were dull!
Description of Work: Fantastic piano movers! When I called, a person actually answered. Was able to schedule a pick up for the next day right then and the movers arrived on time. Worked quickly and efficiently. Their quote was by far the best out of any other company I called. Couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. Highly recommend.

My experience with this company (Big Piano Movers) was quite good. Phase 1 - Estimate I called the company and spoke to Frank. Upon providing the necessary details (i.e. piano height, locations involved in move, and details of any staircases at either location), he was able to provide a price for the move which was very reasonable compared to the other piano movers I called. The price also included cost of insurance pertaining to the move - covers floor, wall, piano. Phase 2 - Scheduling of Move This company is able to move pianos on weekends, and does not charge extra for doing so. (which seemed contrary to other piano mover companies I called) Frank was able to schedule my move for Saturday of the same week - at 8AM (which I believe was the first move of the day). Phase 3 - Move Details On the day of the move, Frank and 2 other guys came to pick up the piano. They arrived 30 minutes early (which is better than being late) and were able to efficiently wrap the piano in cloth/plastic, put it on wooden brackets, and haul it down some stairs. After securing the piano in the truck, they drove to the destination location and unpacked the piano in the final location. The entire move was completed by 8:15AM. The piano arrived intact and in the same shape it was in prior to the move. Miscellaneous 1. You can tell that this company specializes in moving pianos based on how quickly/expertly they package the piano prior to the move. 2. This company also provides other services (e.g. tuning, repair). I originally wanted to have the piano tuned the same day of the move, but Frank correctly informed me that it is necessary to wait a week or two before tuning (so the piano can adjust to the new destination environment) I also had some pre-existing blemishes on the piano (i.e. areas where the finish seemed to be dulling), and Frank was able to provide his guidance on how best to fix it. 3. The truck used was a Budget rental. At first, I was a little concerned, but given how well they packaged/protected the piano and how they took the time to secure the piano in the truck - my fears were put to rest. I think some other companies I looked at used padded/environmentally controlled trucks - but at added cost to the consumer. All in all, this moving company served my purposes (i.e. Piano moved from point A to B quickly and efficiently with no damage).

I called five days in advance to have a piano moved from a u-haul into my house. I called the day before to confirm the move and approximate time. When I was an hour away from my home I called to advise time of arrival. I called again when I was ten minutes from home. I waited 1/2 hour outside my home and then called to see where he was. Frank told me he did not have a truck available until three to four hours. I told him that was not acceptable. But I could not find anyone else and called him back to say I didn't need a truck, just a dolly and a ramp. He came with a helper 1/2 later and move the piano in less than 15 minutes.
