Men On The Move

The crew worked hard but did the minimum. Years ago I moved and the mover could not get one piece of furniture out of my apartment. They cut one leg, moved me, sent a furniture repairman to fix the leg and I cannot tell which leg was cut. These guys told me that they were going to have to damage the walls to bring a smaller piece upstairs and did nothing about it afterward. When they announced that they were done I pointed out that there were a number of pieces that were still wrapped and two area rugs that needed to be placed under furniture. They unwrapped some and put down only one of the two area rugs. One of the pieces that they left wrapped sustained significant damage that was not revealed until I unwrapped it.

Amazing! From setting up with Harry to the movers, David and Phil was so easy and quick. It was so nice to deal with a company that answered right away and took care of the paperwork right away. The girls in the office are very helpful and prompt. And finally, having David and Phil as our movers was the best! They made it so easy and a smooth move! Very careful with our stuff and made us laugh too! I highly recommend this company to anyone moving!!!

Our move was relatively small - emptying out a few piece of large furniture and some luggage from my father-in-law's assisted living studio apartment. Men On The Move was the first to provide an estimate from the few movers I contacted. The estimate was very reasonable, and they folks were very helpful throughout the planning and moving process. I would definitely use them again.

My experience with Men-On-The-Move expert staff on February 28, 2023 was remarkable and professional in every way possible. The move was executed 100% smoothly and successfully. The head of my moving team was Conroy with 3 other expert men. Their communication was great including asking me for instructions before they moved any piece of my property. They were smart, respectful, and skilled. I was astonished at how fast they wrapped my furniture and all items moved safely. They made my move of all my possessions calm and rewarding. The movers were on-time, incredibly pleasant and professional. They were very responsive, and nothing got broken. The rep who helped set up the move was also great, and the move went flawlessly. I strongly recommend this company.

Our team from Men on the Move were so lovely to work with - they were friendly, polite, efficient, and fun! They were so patient and kind with my 3 year son when he was handing them individual toys to load into the truck. :) They took great care of our items, and listened & followed instructions for location. We had just renovated the house with new floors and paint/wallpaper and no scratches or dents made. We couldn't be happier with the service on what is typically a very stressful day, they made it a wonderful experience. Thank you Dwayne, Jay, Carlos and Freddy! Also the staff in providing the estimate and managing the date were also great to work with - no problems when we needed to move our date due to closing date change. Will 100% be recommending Men on the Move to our friends and family when they move!

Even though we were only moving from one apartment to another ~ literally across the street within the same development, Men on the Move packed up my belongings like we were moving across country! Not one thing missing! Not one thing broken! Not one thing out of place! This crew was so very professional! We’ve used other moving companies in the past but there is no comparison. We will ALWAYS use Men on the Move for our future needs and will continue to recommend them.

Unprofessional and fraudulent, they are a bunch of thugs with a truck. We are starting a claim with the DA's office and better business bureau

Stay away from this company. Given an original quote of $4381.08 which somehow quickly turned to $4597.96. Fine, After they had my things in transit, I get an email it will now be $5727.15. I look at this new bill. The pick up fee, delivery fee, fuel surcharge and weight have all of course gone up. There are so many things but the best example to show how this company truly operates, I had 2 mattresses and now saw I was being charged for 6 cartons for them. I had 3 framed pictures, 1 mirror and get charged for 6 again. I ask in the email why this is. Nicholas lies to me and says yes there are 2 mattresses. The crew says the other extra cartons were used for your other items, but I’ll only overcharge you for 3 instead of six. Keep that in mind. The crew was led by Walter, the foreman responsible for the attempted fraud. When there are only 2 mattresses and charges for 6 and when there are 4 framed things and you are once again charged for 6, those aren’t mistakes, it’s intentional. When the movers arrived at my new place I informed them of the situation and had them show me the packaging. As you would guess, the extra 4 cartons for mattresses did not exist, they were not used for anything else. The 3 pictures were packed in 1 carton, the mirror in another, a total of 2, charged for 6. I talked to a supervisor on the phone refusing to pay the inflated and yes, fraudulent price. Keep in mind they also know the regulation that they can charge only 10% over the estimate. They reduced the price but not enough, but I signed under duress as I needed to get my valuables out of their possession and would continue with my dispute later. When the movers were done, I later noticed my toolbox broken and most of the tools gone. I also later noticed one box was missing. I talked to the owner John Beyer. His official policy is to lie and cover up for his employees. One example of how bad the lying got is that he claimed he looked at the bill and I was charged for only 2 mattress cartons and the extra 4 were just bags, not cartons. As stated earlier I have actual emails from his employee Nicholas saying they were indeed cartons and were used to pack other items. All lies. John Beyer denied everything, and was completely unprofessional. He explained to me that I signed to receive my things so too bad about the toolbox. He simply lies and covers up for his crew. This is how they do business. After his lies and nonsense I got an email from him cc’ed to(and probably mostly written by) his lawyer with an offer of only an insulting $168, denying any wrongdoing of course..Well he made a pathetic excuse for Walter literally stating “perhaps he was having a bad day.” Stay away from this company at all costs.

it went perfectly - the crew for the pack out was super, friendly, efficient and neat. the next day the moving crew, which were the same team + 2 more, came & packed up the truck then into our new place. they were thorough & did an excellent job!

Fantastic. The three men who helped me move into my new apartment made a very difficult transition VERY comfortable. We even needed to make a mid-stop and pick up additional furniture and they assisted with aplomb. Would definitely use them again!

Everything went smoothly. Making the initial call to schedule the move was very easy and Peter was wonderful to deal with. The actual movers (Winston and Wayne) were extremely professional and efficient. Not to mention very nice! Thank you Men on the Move!!

Excellent! They had to go to Two different storage units, plus a garage to pick up Furniture and housewares. They were very efficient and professional. We ended up paying much less than the estimate because they were so quick. We were moving to a coop with lots of rules and regulations that they were very familiar with and handled correctly. I would recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you Men on the Move!

It went fantastic. Our movers Winston and Santos were amazing. They were friendly, punctual and helpful in every way. They went above and beyond and I would use this company again in a heartbeat to move my business and my home.

April 23, 2022 was the 4th time I have used Men on the Move. I learned that they also move down south as far as Florida. I would likely use them again in a future move.

Went like clockwork. Loaded several pieces of furniture into truck, very carefully prepared and dismantled, worked efficiently , in good humor and politeness. Actually did a small repair on a piece of furniture for us . Finished within 4 hour time estimation and furniture fit well into he unit that was estimated. Better pricing than all other options I checked, i.e. for Pods.com , I would have had to hire a separate mover to dismantle and load furniture to truck from apartment.

The move went so very well thanks to Men On The Move. The crew of three that I had was beyond wonderful. The foreman of the crew understood how nervous I was about the move and he assuaged my fears by really being empathetic and taking great care of my furniture. The three man crew worked so well together. They were totally in synch. There was no dilly dallying and they finished the move so quickly and perfectly. In addition, all of my furniture was wrapped, which I did not expect. The crew of three that worked with me really knew what it was doing and took such great pride in the job. Would highly recommend Men On The Move.

The move was great. Everything worked out in a professional and timely manner. Winston and his partner were very very knowledgeable and very well prepared. In advance of beginning, Winston reviewed the process, materials and cost which aligned with the initial estimate. They wrapped a dresser, two night tables, a mirror, a coffee table, glass top, a large leather sofa and large leather chair very neatly and ensured all items were well protected. We viewed all items when they were loaded on the truck - all well secured and protected. Per the agreed process, we met the truck at the MOTM self storage location in Woodbury. They actually arrived before us by a few minutes! The facility looked quite new and well protected as evidenced by cameras and other security elements. Stanley, the MOTM self storage manager helped us with tremendous patience despite being very busy. Once everything was moved into the storage unit, we were escorted to the unit to review and lock the unit. We were able to purchase a strong but reasonable lock from Stanley that worked very well. The entire process was completed in good time and not a dent nor chipped paint! We will be using Men on the Move for our big move to our new apartment once it's ready.

Men On the Move were brilliant, quick, efficient, and careful in moving my furniture including the heaviest of things. They put my bedframe back together, know their angles, and communicate with each other in order to get it done. They're also very kind and want everything to go smoothly just like their customers.

It couldn't have gone better. Calling to set it up was a breeze and Phil and Wayne showed up on time, got the items packed with care and could not have been nicer. A great experience!

There were four men that arrived at my home on time at 9 am in the middle of a snow storm! They proceeded to pack all of the furniture and load the boxes into the truck. After 3-1/2 hours then finished up and they left the house spot-less. Very clean and no damage to walls or even the paint! I would hire them again in a New York minute! If you want professionals moving you - use Men on the Move!

Men on the Move worked from the time they arrived at the pickup site until all furniture was loaded. At the destination the men worked from the time they pulled up until all the furniture was unloaded. Both men (David T. and Angel B.) were both friendly, courteous and professional. This was the third time I hired Men on the Move.
