It was because of a terrible contractor, taking full advantage of my personal and horrible situation, Fancy Fixtures actually held onto much of our orders even though their warehouse was quite full. We did have a few frustrating problems . One I finally handled myself as I am by profession an Interior Architect and we were getting nowhere. I called the manufacturer myself and they were totally wonderful. Other than that, Margaret is a total delight to work with as are her sisters as well. All of them are very helpful. They are very busy and at times seem overwhelmed with the quantity of work they need to process. But they get there eventually. You will not find nicer people anywhere. If you are looking for bargains , try somewhere else.
Description of Work: I worked with them to order the fixtures, accessories, everything for two complete new hi end bathrooms. I had many appointments and one of the sisters worked with me. I was personally going thru a terrible crises and felt it would be easier to work this way even though I knew I would probably pay more thru them then another dealer. They have an amazing and beautiful showroom, so you can actually see much of the items you will be ordering. They were lovely to work with, and very very kind and patient.

+ -1 moreSince Fancy Fixtures would not transfer my call to either a sales person or customer service, I called a second time, this time I did call Customer Service. I was advised that there was no one available to take my call, since the entire department goes for lunch at the same time daily (@ 12:30 to !:30), the called is given an option to go to their directory, or you can leave a message with a unknown person, or call back after 1:30. I don't understand how a Fancy Fixtures can send the entire department out for lunch at the same time, thinking that their customers have nothing better to do then to chase them, especially when seeking Customer Service. I don't know about anyone else, but chasing someone for a question or two or even three seems really unnecessary. It must be nice to be so independent! I did speak to Dennis, the Manager and explained what happened, quite honestly his reply was less than acceptable. He never asked what I was looking for or if there was something he could do. He merely stated he would speak to the receptionist. WOW, could he do more? I think so...........................
Description of Work: I just called Fancy Fixtures to ascertain if they could obtain a new handle for a show door that was purchased and installed in 1994, I spoke to a woman with an accent, who advised me that if I wished to speak to a sales person about anything I had to make an appointment to come into their showroom/office. When I tried to explain that I was merely trying to find out if the manufacture was still in business and if I could in fact get the part I needed, she continued to talk over me. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak to regarding this minor problem, and that I lived in NYC and was not about to drive out to Long Island just to ask a couple of question, she continued to talk over me, and then proceeded to hang up on me. Never did she suggest or consider transferring the call to customer service. It must be nice to be able to be so rude to customers on the phone, I guess they don't believe in repeat business. I was considering going back to Fancy Fixtures again, to purchase the items I need to re-do two complete bathrooms.- when I do them next year, I will now look for another distributor/designer to help me re-do the bathroom, when I am ready. \

+ -1 moreThey are an excellent company to do business with. Their people are most cooperative and appreciate. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I could not live without them. The warehouse provides exceptional help. The selection is vast and magnificent. Prices are very good. I have used them for many projects over many years.
