It was an excellent experience. I can't say enough good things abt this company. Margaret and Mike do a great job with customer service. Mike personally handles all measuring, so he meets each of his customers. Julia was knowledgable and good to work with on the sales floor. She was very prompt with email inquiries and follow-up. Margaret was great with designer input and further recommendations on other work. They are SO worth the trip! Excellent!

It was a great experience from the second I walked in the door! Greeted immediately, discussed what the project was, reviewed my kitchen design plans- then shown through their huge selection of granite slabs. I felt I got personal attention and a great price!! The countertops were installed within 10 days of the measure. They look great. My wall is not straight, but the fit was perfect. I am very happy- and have already recommended granite and marble works to my friends.

My project involved new counter-tops to be installed on new cabinets for a totally redesigned kitchen. The design included a few non-standard features, including: 1. A bar-top which needed to be supported on a short section of wall framed with 2x4's. 2. A counter-height seating area where the counter-top would significantly overhang the bottom cabinets on three sides. I visited several other suppliers who understood the challenges for supporting the overhanging granite in my seating and bar areas, but they offered no assistance in designing or supplying support structures. When I visited Granite and Marble Works, Margaret (the owner) immediately understood the special needs related to my counter-top layout. She immediately arranged a meeting with Mike (Margaret's husband and co-owner) who does the engineering design for their projects. He custom-designed a set or heavy-gauge steel support brackets for my bar-top and counter seating areas. These were provided at no extra cost, and the installation crew installed them when they came to install the granite. Everybody I worked with at this company was professional, skilled, experienced, and remarkably helpful. They provided everything I needed, and went well beyond what other suppliers were willing to do for my project. Everything came out great. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to several friends who are considering kitchen upgrades.

The people/service were very helpful and professional from beginning to end including: - selecting the slab - measuring the template - installation and take away All the services were performed withing the time frame promised. The installers were very professional including clean up as well as protecting the floors during installation. We are very happy with the results and recommend the company to all.

The selection of materials was very extensive. We had an accompanied tour of all of the stone in stock. Pieces are hand selected from all over the world. The owners are extremely knowledgable and helpful. Once selected, a service person came to the house to do the measurements. Delivery and install was on time, extremely professional. We completely renovated two bathrooms in our house and added lots of bells and whistles. The thing everyone notices and comments on first is how beautiful the custom granite and marble vanity tops are. Price for the quality was more than fair. Only shop regionally where we could find an assortment of marble as well as granite. Would highly recommend.

Began the process of selecting our countertops at the showroom with a tour of the warehouse with a huge selection of granite slabs. We chose the one that best suited our tastes, needs and cost. . We selected which under mounted sink we will use. Bob came and measured our kitchen with a laser instrument that accommodated our not so perfect walls. He drew a template and discussed how the grain of the stone should all be in the same direction. A few weeks later installers came and finished the job. The kitchen looks fantastic! Neighbors have stopped over to see the finished project and were very impressed. We would definitely recommend Granite & Marble Works, Inc.

The owner, Mike, and his team were a pleasure to work with. They had beautiful granite at a reasonable price. They did a great job delivering and installing within the promised delivery timeframe.

After visiting some other places, we learned about GMW from Angie's list. The service and selection there is second to none, The sales person spent time getting to know what we were looking for and explaining the process of selecting and installing a granite counter top. We then were escorted through their granite inventory. We saw the actual slabs and were impressed by their inventory. There several reasons we selected GMW - One, we found a granite that blew us away. Two - they charge the same amount for any edge. Other places charged extra for anything other than a plan rounded edge. Three - Angie's List recommendations. Once our contractor was ready, we notified GMW and they were there the next day to measure and the counter was installed within 10 days. Our contractor was very impressed with the quality of the measure, cut and install and told us he would recommend GMW in the future. We are delighted with the way we were treated and we love the look of the kitchen.

We had a very positive experience with Granite and Marble works. the salesman who took care of us was very knowledgeable and patient and spent all the time we needed to look at samples. The work was performed in a timely and competent fashion. Overall we are very pleased.

Had granite installed in my kitchen. Damon and Chris arrived on time, worked diligently throughout the day, and I had a wonderful new kitchen countertop at day's end. This is not an easy job, by any means. The granite is heavy, awkward, and challenging. These two managed to remove my old countertops, my backsplash (very difficult since it was laminate glued onto the drywall), and install all necessary wood trim, supports and the granite in one day. Amazing to see when you realize how heavy that stuff is. And the best part is that Sky (who is a cutter of granite) was able to match the two separate granite pieces at the joint to where no one can see where the joint is. The granite flows as if it was one piece. That takes talent. I must also give honorable mention to Damon and Chris for being able to make the joint almost disappear. Not one person yet, who has seen the countertop, can tell where the joint is without running their fingers over it. It is virtually invisible to the naked eye......Do not go anywhere else....these folks are more than 150% committed to your total satisfaction!

The technician that was sent out, Brian C., was outstanding. He was precise and did an excellent job. I was very concerned about the quality of the repair I was going to get when I was calling companies, but he was excellent. You would never know where the counter was chipped.

Everyone who is assoicated with Granite and Marble Works of Wilton is wonderful to work with. I can say I was extremely pleased with the whole experience, from selecting my countertop to installation. These folks are great to work with and I highly recommend them. Customer service is their #1 priority, and now I feel like part of the family.....even received a Holiday card with everyone's signature. How nice is that?

In March of 2012, I ordered a new granite counter top for my kitchen. I gave them a deposit of $1500 as requested. I was told it would take 2 weeks to prepare. On April 25th, the installers came in, removed my old counter top and replaced them with the new granite counter. He requested the final payment, which I gave him. That evening, I noticed that there was a slight crack that went from the wall to the corner of the sink. Naturally, I wasn't pleased and called the company although it was after closing time, I left a message. The next morning, the owner called me regarding the counter top. After talking to the installer, it was determined that a new counter top would be made. I was told it would be ready in 1 week. Two weeks later, I called to see when the counter top would be ready since I still needed to make an appointment (with another vendor) to have the new backsplash installed. The new counter top was ready and I made an appointment to have it installed the next week. The same installer came in with the new counter top. I asked if he knew the old one was cracked and if so, why did he tell me. He said that he had seen the crack but felt that "at least I had a counter top to use so he didn't think it would be a big deal". Needless to say, I wasn't happy with his answer but I didn't say anything. He installed the new counter top and left. At first I thought that everything was OK but when the installer for the backsplash came (a few days later). the counter top wasn't positioned correctly (there was a 1 inch gap between the wall and the counter top). I once again called and requested that the owner come to look at my kitchen. He determined that there was a problem with this top even though it was cut exactly as the previous counter top was. He said that he would have another installer come to see what he could do to correct this. The next day, another installer came, repositioned the counter top and all was fixed. I called my backsplash installer and everything came together as I had envisioned. I received a beautiful basket of flowers from the Granite and Marble works, thanking me for my patience. I'm really happy with my 'New" kitchen but felt that the amount of time, phone calls and my aggravation was completely unnecessary and possibly because I'm not a drama queen or an alarmist it took much longer that it would have. The company was great, very receptive. My problem was with the first installer that came to my house, not anyone else.

The whole experience from picking out the granite to installation was pleasureable. The sales rep and installers were topnotch and very professional. The job they did was excellent. The granite countertop fit perfectly onto our existing cabinets. Their work was neat and precise. They cleaned up everthing before they left. I would highly recommend Granite and Marble Works.

This is the second time we've used them for tile install and granite countertops. Every time we deal with them they are just easy to deal with. They are perfectionists as well. They measure everything to one sixteenth of an inch so everything is cut to very specific dimensions. They are just really great people to work with. We called them and said we wanted to change something because we wanted it to look different and they were great. They gave us an estimate as we went along and made changes to the project. They did our kitchen in November 2009 and they were amazing. They came in and basically cleaned up our project that other people messed up. They did better than I could have ever thought it could be finished. They were fantastic in that. They've always been very good craftsmen and they are easy to work with.
