Mex fencing llc

DO NOT GIVE RAMIRO YOUR MONEY! Same story as others posted here and on Yelp. He stole our deposit for work on fence. Has never returned it. Recently won a small claims judgment against him to try and recover my deposit.

We had (Luis) Ramiro Armendariz (Mex Fence in Williamson) come to our house and do an estimate for a new fence last year when the pandemic first started. We knew we would be needing a new fence as the one we have was no longer sturdy and we would soon be getting two new mastiff puppies. Due to covid-19 and the financial struggles we faced, we decided to hold off on the project until we were in a better position financially. My husband is the sole provider for our family and I am a stay at home mom to my three kids. After finding out last month my husband would need to have 2 arm surgeries, and having two new mastiff puppies at home, we decided on getting the fence sooner than later. We had Ramiro Armendariz come back out again last month to give us a new estimate as we had a different vision for what we wanted done. He came out and did the estimate, told us he could start as soon as he got the material, and he would need 1/2 of the total amount for a deposit. He was going to use that to buy the material. The first 2 times he was supposed to show up it was no call no show. After calling several times he informed us the materials were not in. After saying he received the materials, another no call no show due to weather. Then again no call no show. This time, his mom was beat up by her boyfriend and was in the hospital. At this point, after several no call no shows I got online and researched his name again. I found some very recent reviews (within the last four months) of him taking deposits from people and never showing up to do the work. I decided then to ask him for a refund. After going back and forth several times, he agreed to return the supplies and process the refund. Then after several attempts to contact him, he tells me the store won't give him cash back and are only offering a refund through store credit. Fine. I told him I'll take the store credit, or if it's easier he can drop the supplies at my house and we can call it even. He told me he can't do that because he put some of his own money towards the supplies. I offered to have him take out the amount he spent and give me the remaining in supplies or even the store credit. No response. He has almost $3,500 of my money and is now refusing to respond. Hard to believe people can be so cruel and take advantage of others at a time when they are struggling through a global pandemic. I have proof and screenshots of everything and I am taking this further. He won't get away with this. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ROB YOU. Buyer BEWARE! Ramiro (Mex Fence) quoted our project, which was then approved. In order to get us on his schedule he required a 50% down payment. Once he received the down payment he became unresponsive and when I could get ahold of him he had excuses for why the project was delayed. I requested a refund and we have yet to receive it - this has been over a month. I requested that they cancel the check and send a new one. I was told by Ramiro that he no longer has the funds and he can do nothing more to get us our refund. On top of all of this, I requested Mex Fence's certificate of insurance from Ramiro. He proceeded to send me a forged certificate which I was able to confirm falsified by the insurance company listed on the forged certificate. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ROB YOU.
