Vicari Franco Contracting

Gave me a better price than the other local outfits and did a terrific job. He didn't cut any corners - he gave me a solid (not hollow like the old one) base and proper sloping for drainage and he even did the concrete on the top area so it looks like a mat! He is a craftsman.

First let's cut to the chase; Franco and his team did an outstanding job, and I highly recommend him for patio, concrete and waterproofing services. Our patio was old and broken, and along with poor drainage, we were gettting water in our basement with every heavy rain. Franco was extremely professional and courteous - He came to our home on Sunday to review our request and to discuss the options and he proposed a set of excellent solutions. When we agreed to the plans he returned (also on the weekend) to review and document in detail all of the work to be done. He gave us a time frame for when he would be available and he was able to complete the job on time. The patio itself is beautiful and makes our small backyard seem bigger and more usable, and most importantly (so far) no water in the basement.

It went very well from estimate to completion. Very professional but friendly. Did not disrupt any flower beds and left grass relatively undisturbed. Completed everything in one day. Returned to check on work and even wet down the cement himself!

My experience with Franco Vicari was wonderful from the estimate through the finished project. He gave us a few estimates for projects we were considering and worked with us based on our budget. When we ultimately made a decision on the project and the start dates, everything went smoothly. We had the sidewalks, curbs, leaders and large front step replaced. He showed up on time with his crew and worked all day long. He doesn't sit in the car watching his men work, which I found remarkable. I came out a few times to check up on the work and he would talk me through what they did and what they were going to be doing next. They took their time and care from the demolition to the pouring and finishing. After the pouring and setting of the cement, he provided efficient barricades to protect the work, which was a concern of ours. His team was clean and efficient. Their work also reflected their care b/c it was clean too. There weren't any sloppy drips or smears on the existing slabs they were pouring next to. The job took abt 3 days with no inconvenience. When the cement dried, I noticed that it was a really pretty soft creamy grey color that I requested from the beginning. I was concerned that it would be that bright white flat finish that I've seen on my block and Franco assured me that it wouldn't be. He explained to me that he uses a special mixture that he created to give it the color with the richer look and finish. We really could not have been more satisfied with everything and are planning on using his company again for replacing our driveway and patio.

He was terrific. They were punctual. They did a very good job in very reasonable time. They were really good on their pricing. They were responsive as well. I am actually going to use them again.

I had called to have an estimate for the outside of my house, which included a retaining wall and sunken patio, new stoop, adding a new porch/patio and the sidewalk. While I did not hire him for the work, his response to my initial call was very prompt, he scheduled an appointment right away and showed up when he said he was going to. He called only a couple of days later with a price for the proposed work. His price was right on with everyone else's.

I had used this company years ago and had no hesitation calling them again when we decided to do this work. They did a great job at a fair price. When we are ready to replace our driveway, i will be giving them another call.

Our experience with Franco Vicari was amazing from start to finish. He is punctual, highly professional, cooperative and reasonably priced. Although we experienced some set backs due to weather and permit issues with our Village, Mr. Vicari was so dedicated and continued to do whatever was necessary to meet the job schedule. His level of commitment is commendable. He truly delivered a quality product and in a timely manner. Mr. Vicari worked very closely with us to ensure all our requirements and needs were addressed and satisfied to our standards. He understood and not only met but exceeded our expectations. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Vicari and I would recommend Franco Vicari Contracting for any future projects.

HE DID A TERRIBLE JOB. HE MADE THE WHOLES IN THE CEILING TO INSTALL THE VENT BUT HE NEVER FINISHED THE WORK. HE CHARGED US TWO TIMES MORE THAN WHAT WE HAD DISCUSSED. WHEN WE ASKED HIM ABOUT IT HE THREATENED US.
