Q's Moving Corp.

Recently, my wife and I issued a negative review on this site for Q’s Moving Corp., because while transporting one of my flat screen TV’s it was damaged. The events following that incident have prompted me to write this second review. The owner of Q’s Moving, as well as his staff, have done such a wonderful job following up since the incident by reaching out and offering us a wonderful compensation for our loss, despite having no legal obligation to do so. I was impressed by their responsiveness and their concern to do the right thing. I call that a) INTEGRITY and b) STANDING BEHIND THEIR WORK. Additionally, despite that one incident with the TV (and we all know accidents happen sometime), the company and its employees did a wonderful job with the move, and again, the response in the aftermath was swift, decisive, cordial, and showed a concern for the customer that we often do not see in business these days. They placed me, their customer, over profits. I therefore give them the highest rating and would use them again.

They were awful. They helped me to moved my things from one place to another. They also brought my flat screen and I just realized now that it was already broken. I won't recommend them to others.

Very rude and unprofessional movers. They dented my wall during the wall and did not apologize in person Not only are they rude, they are reckless with moving. When I point out the dented wall, one guy started yelling at me saying I was condescending. He stopped unpacking to argue. At the end, they decided to sit in the car to smoking for 10 minutes while the timer went on to bill me for the moving time. They did not remove the trash and billed me for things in addition to tape which they had not mentioned at the beginning of the move. This is clearly not a professional mover company. So many things went wrong. Save yourself the trouble and find another moving company.

Everything went great. There were three people that came to help with the move and they were very nice. They were on time and actually beat me to my destination. They packed all my belongings with care and nothing was broken or damaged.

Avoid this moving company at all costs. I spoke to this Q'a Moving at least 3 times prior to my move addressing all of my concerns regarding the safe transport of my items. I explained the irreplaceable value of some of the items and the type of handling and care that I will require if I should contract with Q's Moving to handle and process my relocation. I was assured repeatedly that Q's was up for the job, I should have followed my gut that told me this was probably not going to be the company to go with. This was the beginning of the end. The movers arrived on time which was promising. I figured this is definitely a good sign. It appears my assumption was incorrect. Three guys, as contracted arrive. I had a three room apartment and with three people it should have taken no more than two hours to move everything out of the old apartment. Everything had been prepared in advance by me so there was nothing to do except disassemble the bed frame, remove two legs off of my plankwood walnut dining room table (in order to get it through the doorway exit), and wrap the sofa, the kitchen chairs, the bed frame, one mirror, one TV, and one picture. That's it. There were 13 boxes remaining to be moved after that. Easy, right? Not so much. The guys stood around talking, blasting music out of their phones at 8 am in the morning, and not efficiently moving my things. Instead of one guy wrapping the few items so the other two guys could be moving things out, they were all working against making this a seamless and logical process by one guy wrapping an item while the other two guys stand on the sidelines laughing and having a good time. I was so disgusted that I left after 30 minutes of watching this and headed out to UPS to return my Spectrum equipment. I decided to walk around and chat with my friend and not go directly back to the apartment figuring if I kill an hour upon my return most of the moving will be done. Incorrect again. I return an hour later to basically nothing being done. Two guys standing around while one is still wrapping those few items. Everything else still there. Boxes, everything. Unbelievable. When I suggested that there was a more efficient way of doing this I was shutdown and told that they know what they are doing. Mind you, for fear of incompetence, which was a valid fear to have, I had already moved most of the entire apartment, by myself, that Monday of that week. One person, just myself, and I moved 30 boxes,10 large plants, one tree, 20 smaller plants, two wardrobes, 2 floor lamps, etc. and I did it in 1 hour and 45 minutes. By myself, haha. This was like bad theater watching these guys. To make a long story short they lost the bar to my armoire, assembled the armoire incorrectly, chipped a chunk out of my 4K dining room table, stole my brand new charcuterie board (or threw it away like they did the bar too my armoire), ruined the cushion on my sofa, broke a left side panel to my men’s dresser, scratched my bedside lamp, all four chairs now have scratches (they were practically brand new), they butchered my mahogany bed frame... a complete nightmare. I reached out to the owner and his daughter and they assured me that I would be made whole. I did the due diligence of paying for things to be repaired myself and providing Q's Moving with replacement cost receipts requesting my reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs. I found a handyman to do the repairs (he had a 2 hour minimum for a $135). I sent a screenshot of my charcuterie board cost providing option of either Crate or Williams and Sonoma (It was purchased from Crate). I sent them an email receipt to replace my one sofa cushion damaged by one of the movers (custom fabric that can not be cleaned so it needed to be replaced) which was $637. I was more than reasonable and swallowed the cost of the other few missing items and damages, I told them I will replace all remaining items myself as I want to move on sever all ties with this company. Q’s Moving then responds back at the end of the next week with their settlement offer. The settlement was for $637. They did not reimburse me for any of the other few items that I submitted for damage costs. I paid this scam of a company $2,100. They were so unprofessional that they could not even reimburse me for the reasonable costs for my damages. Wow. Unbelievable. I am whole now, I resolved everything myself and replaced and paid for repairs, so I created my own happy ending to this story. I implore you, avoid this company at all costs. They are not licensed to perform interstate moves, only intrastate moves. This was an out of state move from NYC to Philadelphia. Their incompetence and lack of responsibility for their workers actions and unprofessional behavior knows no bounds. They deflect and defend and try to suggest that you are being "difficult" by wanting a fair and just reimbursement. If you value your things I would not use this company. Negative 10 for service, performance, time management, and management resolution. Do not use this company, you have been warned, it will be a really bad outcome that can be avoided by utilizing a reputable moving company. This can not be an anomaly. This is their standard. Avoid avoid avoid.

Excellent service. Ray, Ken, and Ninja were quick moving, professional, and friendly. I had most of my items packed but needed their expertise with others (heavy printer/scanner, some artwork, heavy large plate glass). Everything arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased.

We contracted for a three man team. Men were exactly on time, called ahead to let us know they were ten minutes away, arrived with all their dollies, mats, boxes at the door ready to work. They couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. At the new location (not an elevator building), there were some barriers that made it impossible to move dollies, so the men (Nick, Alex 1 and Alex 2) moved each box individually down the steps without a word of complaint. They assured us that it was fine. The entire move went easily (for us), swiftly, and amazingly pleasantly. The cost was exactly as specified, and payment was not required until the move was complete and, as the owner had assured, we were completely satisfied. Without doubt, they will be the ones we call for the next move.

The day started a little shaky. the start window I was given Was between 8am and 9am. At 9am I called to check on the workers and I was told they would be at my home in fifteen minutes. They did not arrive until 10am. That’s the only issue I had. But once they arrived it was go, go, go! They were professional and took very good care of my items. I would recommend them again.

I know my words will not do justice, but I have to express my gratitude. I called Q's with a one day advance notice for a move. One of the last steps in our long journey of moving. The lady who answered was very kind, professional and accommodating. The crew showed up on time and at my storage unit ready for the day ahead. I was introduced to Alberto, Andrew, Hector, and T. Woods. They were full of energy and ready to work. They explained everything to me and began loading the truck. A few hours into our day, we had a problem. Alberto brought to my attention that all of my belongings were covered in mold from the unit. They felt so bad and were so empathetic. When I tell you that these guys went above and beyond for me, I am not exaggerating. Alberto spoke to the guy at Public Storage, they drove back to my house, back to storage, and back to my house again trying to figure out the best way to handle this huge situation. On the verge of me loosing my s$&t, they did everything they could to help me, calm me down, and make a plan. The loaded and unloaded the truck. The moved some stuff into my home while examining every item and leaving the molded items outside. They helped me call a dumpster and even helped dispose of some of my stuff. They had the safety of me and my family- even my dog at heart. It was a stressful day to say the least, but without them, I wouldn't have got anything done. I am so grateful for them and strongly encourage anyone and everyone to use them for their next move. They are my angels.

This was my first time hiring a moving company and I have to say I was very skeptical about it because I've heard so many horror stories from friends and family. Q's Moving Corp. set my mind at ease. First of all they arrived an hour early which I was so very grateful for!! They were quick, efficient and very personable. They made sure everything was exactly where I wanted before they left. The price I paid was within the quote given over the phone and reasonable. With the tip I gave the guys I still paid less than a competitor's quote just for the move and it was worth every bit of it. I would definitely use this company again and I would recommend anyone wanting a quick and pleasant moving experience to use Q's Moving Corp.

I had called several places because this wasn't a traditional move and I wanted to make sure we would be covered. We had a total of 6 stops to make and some places charged extra for every stop that was made. Q's Moving did not. And also, Q's Moving starts their clock when they arrive at the 1st stop and it ends when they unload the last item. The move couldn't have gone more smoothly. They sent 3 movers which was perfect because some of the places we stopped involved 1 person staying with the truck. In Manhattan it's hard to stop on many streets, but they were able to make it happen and dealt professionally with any obstacles we had. They were quick, efficient and had an upbeat attitude which made spending 5 hours with them a pleasant experience. For our second day, they knew how to make the best use of space in the Pod, and how to pack things so they wouldn't be damaged during the trip. When the Pod arrived in Los Angeles, all was in good condition. One other thing I wanted to mention was how the company worked with me in setting up the move. I didn't know until the day before how many stops we would need to make or where they would be. I did know that the move would happen, just not all the details. I spoke to them at least a week before and they assured me that the move could be done on the day I needed and they held the time even though I didn't have details. I highly recommend the company.

The Moving team showed up on time and as promised with a 3-man team, The move was smooth and without issue, i would recommend them.

Took longer than expected and cost extra. Son complained that a box of his photographic work disappeared, but he should have taken care of it himself. Otherwise, the movers did great job.

Q's moving provided most likely the best moving experience I have had - over the course of various moves in my life, whether intrastate or interstate. Not one item was broken or scratched. And not one wall or part of an apartment was broken or scratched. My providers were "Team Ryan" and they were on time and prepared. They were also efficient and alert: everything ended up in the proper room or storage area, and anything that needed to be assembled was done so fully properly and completely. The office staff was also good about answering advance questions or requests in the week leading up to the move. This is a strong operation.

The guys were very nice and polite. Unfortunately they forgot some major.items which was a huge headache and claimed they had not been told them to move them which is completely untrue. I had to hire an Uber and move the items myself, another huge headache .They kept adding other charges not in their quote such as an extra 25 dollars "fee" and a tunnel fee. Again, nice guys but not well coordinated.

It was great and they were just terrific. They came highly recommended. They were really very good.

Easiest move we've ever had to make! The owner, Tony, was pleasant, informative and very nice on the phone. He doesn't even take payment until the job is done! That's a quality company with high regard for one's integrity! On the day of the move, he kept in touch with us and updated us on the time the 2 movers would arrive. Andrew & Steve, the movers, were 2 of the nicest guys around...very efficient, knew exactly how to pack a moving truck, and were very careful with all of our belongings. They really went the extra mile and were just as pleasant as Tony! Honestly, we'll never use another moving company...we're Q's all the way!!!

They were very professional and very good. I would recommend them for this kind of work. Keep in mind that it was a fairly easy move. All of my things were wrapped already. All they had to do was bring it back.

Two-person crew was great. Showed up early, worked fast, were funny and polite. I'd use them again for sure.

This OUTSTANDING crew of guys did a phenominal job of listening to our needs, comminucating with each other and carrying out the tasks. The piano mive alone (2nd floor move!) took guts, experience and perseverance. It is in place and was a joy to play it. It actually held its tune pretty well, too! The price paid for moving your home is secondary to the quality of the job done.

They pressured my husband to sign something that gave them a high rating. They charged a lot more than what we were expecting. They charged us by the hour. They were milking the clock. We bought them pizza because they were working so hard. The whole experience was awful. They were rude and lazy. We had a safe that had to be moved from the basement into the garage. There were three of them. They punched holes in the wall of the house that we were moving into. They finally came back and patched it. They got good reviews from my husband because, they pressured him. I was around $1500. They were here until almost seven o'clock at night. They were sitting around a lot. We were taking stuff in. I started taking stuff off the truck because they weren't doing anything. One was nice and the other two weren't. Their professionalism was awful.

Having hired this company for two other moves that went well, I retained them through my company for an intra-state relocation. To say that is was a disaster is an understatement. The movers left items in my home that were included and needed to be moved resulting in my having to abandon and give away at least a thousand dollars of products and household furniture. Then they repacked already labeled box to jam in unrelated items instead of getting more boxes resulting in my having to open every single box to find my children's baby monitor under a bag of rice and my kitchen utensils in a box marked "Christmas Stuff." They didn't assemble furniture they disassembled and constantly complained about the size of the job. Of the furniture they put together, it was sloppy and unstable. A standing mirror/jewelry case was put together completely upside down. I still haven't found two missing baby monitors and just last week (a full two months after my move) found the table legs for my kids' writing desk shoved inside a diaper genie. I complained to management - was told I would be made whole upon delivering receipts for damages, extra costs - including hiring a REAL moving company- to actual do the unpacking that Q's Moving was paid to do. Was transferred to another 'resolver' who offered me $500.00 to cover over $2,000.00 in replacement costs and extra expenses. A difficult move was made infinitely more difficult by their negligence and the fact they they never made me whole - despite my gathering of receipts - was insulting and added insult to injury. Their suggestion that I was trying to hustle them out of $600.00 for two missing baby monitors having already paid them over $3,000.00 for previous moves out of my own pocket - and referred them to others who used their services- was the final straw. Their offer to send the same people who screwed the move the first time back to my home to try again over three weeks after my move was laughable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for anything more than local 3-4 hour moves. They are clearly out of their depth beyond that. Found them here on Angie's List and should have gone with anyone but them! Simply awful.
