Lords Pest Control

On Tuesday, we had a Lords exterminator come out to deal with a bug issue. Later that day, my husband noticed his corporate credit card was missing. He'd used it the day before, so he knew he had it. He didn't go out Tuesday, and no one besides the Lords exterminator had been in the house. The initial investigation found the physical credit card was used several times later Tuesday in Whitestone, where Lords is located and the exterminator also lives. We called the owner Marc and explained, and he said we couldn't prove it. So now we're working with the credit card company to pursue legal remedy. It's an unfortunate situation. I'd never let anyone from this company in my home again.

Our through the wall air conditioner broke and needed to be removed and replaced. When the installers went to remove the AC a nest of bees that had made a home inside the wall started to sting. They left saying the bee nest had to be removed first. We called Lords Pest control and made an appt . Marc came when expected and did an excellent job. He removed the air conditioner and the sleeve to access the inside of the wall. That, by itself was a big job. He treated the inside wall to ensure all bees were gone and if we saw any trying to return in a few days he would come back. Marc went above and beyond the requirements of the job to ensure that all bees were gone and would not return. We were just charged the lower end of the phone estimate. Very fair.

Excellent work. They did a physical inspection as well as treated the house inside and out for termites and got to the source of the nests. The termites had bypassed the Terminix bait system. Highly recommend Lords.

Highly satisfied. While we did not catch our "Ghost Mouse" we were very comfortable with the preventive measures taken and advice provided.

Great... my mom felt very comfortable. she feels more at ease now that have sprayed all over the basement to help against the bugs.

Mark was very professional and extremely neat. Even provided his own paper towels. Had to have outside of home drilled to apply poison. He drilled between the pavers where the cement was , as to make the holes as least noticeable. I would hire him again for any future pest problems.

It was good. I don't remember the exact price, but I don't remember it being too expensive. They have quality service. No complaints.

Marc was the absolute best!!!! I called him on Monday morning to ask for help with a wasp nest in the wall of our first floor. He came by the same day (within a few hours of my call), was on time, professional, and we paid what we agreed upon on the phone call that morning. I wish every company was this easy to work with!! In the days since we have not seen any wasps. Definitely go with Lords Pest and Marc. You will be satisfied and pest free!!

Found Marc on Angieslist this morning (~11am), called the office and got someone on the phone very quickly. He was able to stop by to do an evaluation by 2:15pm. Marc was upfront and gave an honest assessment that there was no activity and treatment was not likely required. I found him to be professional, prompt, and would consider using his company again in the future.

They are personal and they do what they say.

I have been using Marc for over 15 years. He's professional and the only person who was able to get rid of wood bees, ants, etc? I went through many exterminators before finding him and haven't changed since. He's a keeper!!

He came to look at the problem and I had some water in the basement which is what caused the problem. He took care to the termite problem.

I had called several local pest control companies, and most seemed to want to offer services for a year. I was unsure of how many treatments it would take to eradicate the pests. We had a local nest of carpenter ants living in our kids window frame. We would see them coming up and down the outside of the house and enter by the window. They treated the inside of the kids room and the outside of the house, lawn and tree. After the first treatment we would find dead ants for the following two months. This was the only treatment I allowed in the kids room. After July we stopped seeing dead ants and I have yet to see any others return. Since then I have only allowed them to treat outside. I wish that I had gone with the one time treatment instead, but hindsight is always 20/20. Other than that they have always been respectful and professional. I'm almost hoping the ants come back so I can feel better about the money spent! (but not really!)

The guy came out and was able to get rid of all the bees. He did an excellent job and he was very nice.

I called on Thursday and they came the next day. They removed the nest and advised us that there will still be some wasps flying around for a few days. If there were still wasps around on Monday, we should call him and he said he would come back.

I called yesterday morning when our contractor discovered a yellow jacket nest under the roof. Mark apologized for not being able to come that morning but came in the afternoon and treated the nest. He didn't make a fuss that we weren't there and said he'd send a bill. This is good old fashioned service. I will keep his card handy in case we ever have another problem

I woke up Mother's Day and found the bottom of my dishwasher covered with ants. They were not on the dirty dishes, they were just milling around at the bottom of the dishwasher. I tried to kill them, but nothing worked and they were starting to travel to other parts of the kitchen. He came exactly when he said he was going to come. He let us know to the minute when he would be here. He took care of the problem and we haven't had a problem since. The ants were looking to get away from water. We had a very rainy spring that year. We had a 10% off coupon from Angie's List that he honored. The job went perfectly. He got rid of the ants, never to return.

This is my second time engaging Lord's Pest Control. Mr. Plotnick had previously eradicated a stubborn bedbug infestation in my home (see review of 12/4/2012). Despite the current availability of termite inspection deals, based on my past positive experience with Lord's, I contacted Mr. Plotnick, when I became concerned about a possible termite problem. Mr. Plotnick promptly responded to my call and arranged to do an inspection. He arrived within his stated time frame and conducted a thorough inspection of my home and garage. Mr. Plotnick determined that I did not have a current problem and did not charge me for the inspection. I intend to engage his services in the future should the necessity arise. I am a truly satisfied customer.

The owner of the business Marc, promply returned my phone call and scheduled an appointment to exterminate my home for roaches. He showed up on time, listened to my explaination of the roach problem, and explained fully what methods would be used to eradicate the problem. He also quoted a reasonable cost to exterminate. He decided to use a combination of spraying chemicals along the floor boards and used bait in the kitchen and bathrooms A free follow up treatment was scheduled about 2 weeks after the initial treatment. After one week we saw a big reduction in the number of roaches in the kitchen and bathrooms where they were usually seen. By the time the follow up treatment was completed, by one of his technicians, we were no longer seeing any roaches in the house. 6 weeks after the initial roach treatment we believe that our home is roach free! The $200 cost for the extermination service was money well spent!!

I have a very active yellow jacket nest growing inside the exterior wall of my house. The entry is between the front entry portico gutter and the exterior wall. There were definitely hundreds flying around and in and out of the nest. I called a few different "A" rated pest control companies and LORDS was definitely the quickest to be able to address the problem so I went with him. I have young children and cats around and needed this addressed immediately. Marc did that. He explained what he was doing. After spraying, told me to keep an eye on it and in a few days if I saw any further activity to give him a call and he would come back out. Presently, I'm a happy customer and will definitely call on LORDS again if and when the need arises. PS. Compared with the other companies, I thought LORDS price was extremely reasonable.

I called them in a panic and asked them if they could come immediately. They asked me some questions such as the size and color of the nest. They made time to come within a few hours and reassured me that everything would be okay. The nest was approximately 1 cubic foot directly on my glass bedroom window. They removed the nest (live wasps or hornets flying all around them). Once they started, dead insects were falling all around them. I watched from a safe distance away. They removed the pieces of the nest and placed it in a garbage bag in the trash. They even showed me the inside of the nest and the new wasps that were going to hatch - pretty scary. After they removed the nest, they sprayed something to keep the wasps from returning. Included in their service is a followup (free of charge) if the wasps should return to the same place. Thank goodness, the insects did not come back. They were very professional, had a sense of humor, neat and clean. I highly recommend them. $120 is the approximate cost - don't remember the exact amount.
