White Oak Construction

The person we dealt with was called Derek. He appeared knowledgeable when he came to give a bid for the work and set a date to start the work. However, when he came to do the work, his behavior was highly suspicious. He came without workers nor materials and insisted on being paid $1100 in advance for the materials with no proof of purchase. He said that he had ordered the materials, but refused to show us an invoice or tell us the name of the company they were coming from so that we could verify the order. He also hinted that the material may not be delivered on that day because of rain, which was not predicted by Accuweather that day. What raised our suspicion was that he wanted us to give him cash or a check issued to his name instead of White Oak. When we did not agree, he became aggressive and left.
