I live in a co-op and per the rules of the board I had to use the Crystal brand for the replacement windows. Westchester Window Works is an authorized distributor and installer of these windows. Two of my windows overlook the interior cat walk and I requested privacy panels for the lower half of the double hung, tilt in windows. The windows are great! Since I opted for the higher-cost windows with argon they are air tight, no drafts, easy to open, close, tilt-in and lock. They used a type of and quot;snap itand quot; trim that enhances the window's polished appearance. The gem of the whole project is the terrace door. I had to get a custom door for the terrace because even though it's not an entry door, it's framed as one. The door's brand name is Provia and the specs are: steel with fib channel entry door in wood frame, style 460DLA, full lite, double glaze, low-e glass with argon. It's energy star qualified. It's beautiful. It's perfectly fitted and secured. The door trim and hardware are flawless. Phil was the representative and he was very patient and kind. Since this was my first ever renovation project I was nervous. Phil answered all my questions, kept in constant communication with me about my order status, and on the day of the install came by once at the start to ensure everything was going smooth and once at the project's completion to do a quality check. The installers were very respectful, meticulous and did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. I pretty much stayed out of their way and let them do their jobs. Start to finish the whole project took about 7 hours. In my opinion, the higher price paid off in terms of quality installation and time. I wish I had more windows to replace because I would definitely use Westchester Window Works again.

The window had been bought from them and installed in 2003. Tim took a lot of time to go through their records and found the details about my window - he was always good to talk with. Phil came by and repaired by damage the same day. They both gave very good and honest advice.
