Description of Work: Juan C. Saquicela was the person who came over to perform the 89.00 package that I purchased through Angie's List. The cost was double because I didn't realize I also had a humidifier attached to my heating unit, which required extra work and materials. It was normally a 129.00 but they gave me the Angie's list price of 89.00. Juan was extremely informant, he took the time to explain and show me where the filters are how to remove them and how to replace them. I thought it was very nice that he even told me to go on line to order the basic furnace filter to save money.He also gave me a basic run through of my entire system. He performed all the work as promised. His work was neat, he wore covers over his shoes which made me very happy it was pouring out. He cleaned everything and took the garbage away. Juan was always professional and I will definitely use them for my future HVAC needs.

Description of Work: Sila Heating and Air conditioning was very responsive to my phone call. Called at 10.45 in the morning and they promised to come at 12.00 noon on the same day, which they did. Immediately within about 7 minutes they discovered the problem in the heat funance. It was a minor problem, and was fixed in 15 minutes. The technician then explained, how it happened and what to do next time to try to avoid the problem. I am very happy with there service, quality and professionalism. Yes, I would use them again in future and would certainly recommend their services to others.

Description of Work: I have a ductless system that was not turning on. I called Sila and they responded quickly and sent a tech to my house within a day. The first tech was not able to fix the problem, thought it was a blown fuse, but didn't charge me. The second tech (very nice, very knowledgeable, very professional) found the issue, which was a blown fuse and told me this fuse would need to be ordered. I recieved a phone call from the central office explaining that it would be $ 469 to fix the fuse. It seemed a little extreme and I asked why it was so expensive. They were unable to justify the very high cost. I ended up fixing the fuse myself for $2. Feel a little taken advantage of considering the situation.

Description of Work: I had a top of the line new forced air heating system, new Lennox furnace installed. New venting of exhaust to outside of house instead of up the chimney. This was to give me a guaranteed $1000 rebate. New top of the line AC with new outdoor large unit and remote thermostat which also operates the heating system. New hot water heater, gas. Normal tank replacing the same style old one. The installation took much longer than previewed and could not be done in one day, let alone two. It took three. I felt abandoned by one crew after another and lost touch with the original person who sold me the contract. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY, CHRIS, IF THEY HAVE ISSUES BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE DOES ANYTHING. I am still waiting for most of my rebates and it has been six months and I am highly dissatisfied with that situation. Finally I have secured a guarantee in writing from the owner of Sila that if I do not that the contractual rebates by Christmas, Sila will give me the money. He is a very communicative and decent man and I like doing business with him directly. He needs better staff below him and the company needs better phone answering skills.

Description of Work: Sila was able to fix my air conditioning problem that another repair company failed to fix. After their initial visit only partially fixed the problem, Sila came back the next day and worked on the system for a number of hours to complete the repair and did not charge me any labor. Their workers were courteous, well spoken, clean and obviously well trained in their profession. I was very happy with their service

Description of Work: Today we had Dennis from Sila come and service our two AC units. He was very punctual and even arrived early. He was very professional and told me what he was doing as he did it. He told me what needed to be done, what my options were and gave me the advantages and disadvantages or each decision. I asked him if he could service one unit before the other as unit B was in the closet of a bedroom and the occupant of that bedroom would be up shortly. He had no problem honoring this request. After he did all the work he asked me if we wanted a service contract. Again, he broke it down and told me the benefits and the disadvantages of the contract. Oh, wait, there weren't any! Based on the fact that Dennis came previously to perform emergency service and was professional both then and today we bought a service contract with them. When the AC wasn't working we called Sila based on an Angieslist review to fix the problem. Dennis apologized for the fact that he couldn't come the same day but had to have us wait till the next day. With this work ethic that Dennis has and the professional of the company that he works for I wish there were more companies like Sila,

Description of Work: Furnace not working. Left VM message aound 7pm & was called back in a little less than an hour.Had someone out the next morning. On time. Professional. Systemaically diagnosed the problem in about 45 min as insullation that came loose & got caught in blower. Problem fixed & stayed fixed. Reasonable charge. Would definately use the service again.
