Description of Work: Everything was perfect for the inspection. My only issue was the price for freon. It was $290 for the first pound and $90 dollars per pound there after. I have had freon added in my Condo in Florida and I know it does not take long and is easy to do. I asked why the difference and they reduced it to $250 and he said delivery and other reason. I said that you are already here. I did not add the freon. As I had 14 and 3/4 pounds out of 17 pounds. Everything else was performed perfectly. Not sure how much freon costs, but the $290 just seemed to high. If that is what Freon actually costs then I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: AC spring tuneup

Description of Work: I originally hired Sila for a simple AC tuneup for 2 systems however I also had concerns around air quality as I have a 1 year old at home. Mike addressed my concerns and we agreed to pressure test teh system to ensure none of the attic air was leaching into the vents and ultimately gettinginto the living space. Mike confirmed the ducts were pretty well sealed and gave me clear options in how i might improve performance/efficiancy. Will definitely be my AC guys going forward.

Description of Work: I called Sila for an estimate to repair a leaky boiler. They gave us an estimate to fix the issue and another estimate to replace the unit. The repair estimate seemed too high and I wasn't ready to replace it so I called in a reputable competitor for a second opinion. The quote I received from the competitor was 1/3 of Sila's estimate and I was told the boiler did not need to be replaced. Overall, I feel Sila was dishonest in their assessment and the cost to repair the unit.

He said that the leak in the condenser might be fixable and might cost about $1000.00 but he recommends to change the unit. |on 4/9/2015 Another technician came and gave me two estimates to change both handler and Condenser at the cost of $13346.00 or $11700.00 depending of the |brand used. |On 4/15/2015 I submit a report to Angie's where I describe my experience. |On 4/23 I receive a Call from someone at Sila's inquiring about my experience. I told him that I needed to fix the problem without changing the units |if possible. He promised to get back to me and never did. | |on 5/4/2015 We lost the A/C in one of the zones. (not the zone where we had a problem) |on 5/8/2015 We had a technnician from another company coming to fix the problem. He reported to me that someone had yanked a pipe in the condenser which caused a slow leak and emptied the unit from Freon. We had to fix the |problem. The yanked pipe is in my possession. | The original problem will be fixed at the cost of $3500.00 instead of $11700 |or $13436.00. We found that the condenser should be changed but not the handler. |The only people who checked our condensers for the last 6 months were Sila People |I have all the reasons to doubt that someone from Sila yanked the pipe.
