Description of Work: Installed an Air Purification System. They damaged my duct work and didnt mention it to me. They did patch it up but it would have been more professional of them to have told me about it rather than me finding out the next time I was down there. They also didnt show me the set up or explain it to me...probably cause they didnt want me to see the damage. Shortly after the install I had some concerns about whether the system was putting to much pressure on my compressor. He was very knowledgable and explained the air purification system to me.

Description of Work: Received quote for new boiler system. Salesperson was very pleasant. The quote for the system wss originally $11,565.00, with a supposed 2016 list price of $13,607.00. It was then reduced to $10,000.00 if I agreed to have the work performed on the followung Thursday. I received other estimates in the amount of $8,400.00 and $8,900.00,leaving me with the belief that Sila may be good, but expensive

Description of Work: I think the Angie's list price was a teaser, because other things were found with my heating unit. And they did replace parts and came back to install them...that was the high price. |They wanted to sell me a whole house air filtration system for >$3000 but I did some research and could have external air filters in each room for $100 each machine, and the cost would be 25% of the system proposed. |The job performed on the heater was very good, and done quickly. The heating unit does work better since it was cleaned and the aging parts replaced.

Description of Work: Sila came to clean our gas furnace on Angie's List's $59 offer, and said it did not pass inspection so they were required to shut it down, even though outside temperature was freezing. As it turned out, Sila's regular cleaning offer is $59, so it was nothing special after all. | |Sila's salesman came promptly to review options, and was very nice, professional, and compassionate. Our carbon monoxide monitor showed zero, so that was not our immediate worry, and we endured the night with electric heater. The next day, Sila installed our new gas furnace and central air units, which took about six hours. The installations were neat and impressive, and the heating system worked perfectly right off the bat. We can't test the central air until Spring temperatures permit, at which time Sila agrees to return for that test at no extra charge. Sila also installed one new thermostat, and later switched it for one with a larger screen that we could actually read. | |I can't say enough about the promptness, neatness, and professionalism of Sila's team. They are exceptional.

Description of Work: The provider did not perform the service because I had an oil unit instead of a gas unit. There was no issue. I was refunded.

Description of Work: Checked my gas boiler. I mentioned an issue with automatic water feeder on the boiler and that was not resolved. I still have the problem. However the tech did note that there was some water under my gas water heater and said that he tested the water heater and concluded that I needed a new water heater. He really pressured me to commit immediately to a new water heater and quoted what I considered to be an extremely high price. Even though I pointed out to him the approximate installation date. On the tank was in big bold letters 12 years warranty so it was obvious that it was still under manufacturers warranty. I really felt uncomfortable with his high pressure tactics. He then discounted his estimate to $1500. After he left I contacted the manufacturer (GE) and they gave me a test to perform. It turns out that there is no leak. It's a condensation issue and they told me how to deal with it. Under the heater is now dry. There is no water, no leak. If I had given in to the high pressure tactic of the technician I would have spent approximately $1,500 needlessly. Had it not been for this sales pitch I would probably give them another chance.
