Sila Heating, Cooling and Plumbing

SILA Heating & Cooling were great to work with. They were very responsive to my call to make an appointment, worked with my schedule and were there within 3 days. The technician, Eric Garcia, was punctual, professional and knowledgable. He took the time to explain what he had done, and to make suggestions for helping our older gas heating system continue to operate smoothly and safely. He was genuinely concerned about my budget and about my families' safety. I would recommend them highly.

The service was wonderful from start to finish. I first spoke with Andres. He was very polite, and my questions about what service type would be best given the issues we saw (water on the floor, etc.) and was able to set up a same day appointment. Eric performed the 15-point inspection and was extremely thorough, efficient and really took the time to explain why we were having the water issues and answer all my questions. Most importantly, he was honest and did not try to sell me on any unneeded repairs. The water issues were caused by dirty evaporator coils (which we suspected) combined with a dirty filter. Both the cleaning and a replacement filter were included in the inspection cost. When I explained I was worried because my husband is very sensitive to mold and mildew, he took extra care to make sure the system/areas that collect water were cleaned and flushed thoroughly. Such a relief to know that it was taken care of properly! I absolutely will use Eric & Silas again.

Punctual, polite, did a good job. The technician found a fault but there was no hard sell on the repair. It took a couple of calls with the office to get the work scheduled.

They came the next day to do the 15 point inspection and are coming Tuesday to do the rest of the work.

Came almost the next day. Overall I am please with the responsiveness.

We called Sila on a Saturday evening. They came Sunday morning as scheduled. The technician was able to identify and fix the source of the leak on the a/c unit. The work was done without further charges due to our service plan with Sila.

I called Chris last Saturday - July 28th and requested a call back as a new home owner I was interested in Sila's services; both heating and air conditioning. I referenced his $84.50 Angie's special for the AC check up - that is still available. It is now 1 week later and I have never heard back from him. I left my cell #, so I know I have not missed his call. This is not my style of business. Meanwhile I have written a glowing review for the competitor who answered my request, showed up on time for the appointment and even followed up with hard to find AC filters for free.

I liked them very much because they were on time and they gave me a good estimate. They also did what they said they would do. They completed the job on a timely way and our air conditioner works very well.

Fast, done. however, we should have been given the cost before the work was performed. We would not have paid $175 for twisting two wires together. No other work was done. NONE

We had a wonderful experience with this company from the start. Our call was answered immediately, an appointment was made for the following week, and the technician came promptly within the two hour window we had agreed on. The young man who came was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He spent a good deal of time inspecting and maintaining our system. He found a hose that had been damaged and replaced it for us along with the appropriate filter. We had been using another heating and cooling company for the last 24 years. When they recently went out of business we turned to Angie's list to find another quality company. Our experience was so good with Sila that we are considering taking out an annual contract with them. We would highly recommend Sila.

Terrible, I am going to have my AC installed by someone else that can at least take the time to see what type of system works best for my needs.

Sila gave me a window from 2 to 4 and the technician arrived just about 2:30. He was very knowledgeable and found the problem quickly--the capacitor wasn't working--and he explained what this meant since i didn't have a clue. He needed to call lennox to identify the detail on the part (since there was no information on the unit itself) and was then able to quickly replace it and get my AC working again on a very hot day. The whole visit took just about an hour. My only complaint was the cost of the part--they charged $250--and checking online i know that they don't cost this much. I understand that i am also paying for the service of replacing the part but it was a very quick job and i was already paying $89 for the service call. The technician did take the $30 angle's coupons no questions asked so that was a plus. he also provided information on the cost of a heating/cooling service contract but there was no hard sell which i appreciated.

Work was done extremely professionally and they exhibited quite a lot of knowledge of A/C repair. Overall I'd recommend them as they provide a very robust offering although their hourly and freon prices were a bit high compared to their competitors. Very prompt and responsive to phone inquiries.

Called @ 9:30 on Sunady am on Memorial Day Weekend. Technician Eric arrived about 11:30. He was able to relight the pilot light & said the problem was simply a stuck knob that wasn't depressed fully. Was charged $160.00 for about 10 min .visit. I would have been ok with that except the pilot went out again & I was again unable to relight it despite Eric's tips about giggling the knob. When I called in on Memorial day am about 10 am a different tech called back promptly but said he was very busy & that I would have to call the office on Tues AM to schedule a service call. When I told him that was unacceptable he said he would see what he could do & would call me back. He did call back @ 5PM to say he wasn't comming & I should call the office in the morning.When I did call this morning & related my experience over the weekend I was told the 1st available appointment was 2 days away. I understand this was a holiday weekend but problems never happen at covenient times. The problem was not accessed accurately & the service response was completely inadequate. These guys just dont seem to care. I used them once before & had a good expeience but I never will again.

I had purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List ($89), so I handed him the coupon and was done. (Very easy!) He did try to sell me on the yearly maintenance plan ($300 or so), but I wasn't interested and he didn't press. Juan let me know my filters were fine (they were replaced recently) and wouldn't need to be changed until mid-July. So he left me two new ones instead of replacing them. He also could have told me i needed more coolant (and charged extra for it), but he didn't. Overall, prompt, clean, efficient and honest. I would use Sila again.

Arranging a convenient service date was easy and only a 2 hour window. Eric Diaz, the technician, was on time, very knowledgeable, respectful, thorough, and extremely professional. Very satisfied with my first experience with this company.
