Dennis was wonderful. Very professional, honest and made some excellent and helpful suggestions. I'm now considering changing to Sila for my heating servicing as well.

Sila Heating & Air Conditioning were really good. They were overall satisfactory. They were very informative in telling me how to deal with my A/C. They came when they said they were going to and they were on time.

Juan came to the house to check on A/C systems. He went through the components meticulously, replaced the filter and made sure things were running smoothly.

They don't not treat me like a transaction - they treat me like we have an ongoing relationship (7 years) - it makes a big difference.

From estimate to job completion, these guys are professionals. Marco was our project manager, and he met with us and discussed the various options available. He gave us a very reasonable quote and did a heat load calculation to make sure we were getting a properly sized unit (not all companies we spoke to did this.) Marco also discussed financing options, obtained the permits we needed, and handled Con Ed rebates. He was there during he initial stages of installation and made frequent appearances throughout the 2-day process. He was excellent. The crew who did the installation was also excellent: Americo and Alex. They worked hard, but they also worked neatly and quickly. Despite sawing a number of holes for the ceiling vents, there was no dust left behind. The duct work was well positioned and suspended in the attic. They were super friendly and were obviously talented. Kyle, the foreman, was also frequently on site. He was a really nice guy and double checked the work and showed me how to use the thermostat. He also discussed maintenance, and even vacuumed before they left (although Americo and Alex were so neat, I don't think vacuuming was even necessary). Juan came the next day to start the system after the electrician hooked up the power. He was also very professional and friendly. He programed the thermostat and got our A/C system running - again, neatly and quickly. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sila are professional, friendly, neat, and they do great work. We will definitely be calling on them for future A/C needs.

Very helpful, informative and professional from start to finish.

We had Sila come once before to do service on our boiler. This time the serviceman came and didn't know how to service our boiler. At the time we had the original boiler from 1958 and he had never serviced one this old before. After he left we had a few issues getting another appt because they had to send one of the more experienced managers to do the servicing. They canceled an appointment last minute because of another job going late. When the manager did come, he was able to properly service the boiler.

Service person (can't quite mkae out his name: something like Yeudy Herrera, but I wouldn't bet on it) arrived on time, was efficient, polite, professional, did not mind being asked questions, and responded with courtesy

UPDATE: A few days after submitting this review I received a call from a Sila representative to apologize. Not only did he apologize but assured me that it was just an unfortunate coincidence and that they are committed to our business. Additionally, I was extended a partial refund of our last yearly maintenance fee. Because of all of this, I have revised my rating and will continue doing business with this company. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) Sila installed our high velocity A/C system in 2010. The installation actually went very smoothly and the system has been running fine, for the most part. The only issue that we have had was last year - it turns out the original installers did not seal the main shaft correctly and so we had air leakage. They sent a team to reseal the main shaft this fall - we have not run the A/C since then so I have no idea if the work they did will actually hold, but we are hoping. My issue with Sila is with their appointments. We pay about $230 a year to be on their maintenance plan. This includes a regular visit once a year. EVERY SINGLE appointment we have had with them since our first in 2011 has been cancelled on the day of the appointment. They did the same thing once when we were trying to deal with fixing the main shaft too. And in each case the excuse I was given was "the tech had a family emergency"... EACH TIME I was told this. How is that possible? The reason I am writing this today is that I had our yearly appointment schedule from 10-12 today. I stayed home from work to be here (as I have done each and every time before .. resulting in multiple wasted days from the office). And at 9:30 today I yet again received a call saying they were cancelling due to a family emergency! This is just unreal and I don't know what to do about it. I could cancel my maintenance plan but I don't want to pay out the nose to have them fix the main shaft if it turns out they didn't do it correctly. I would stay away from this company.

After being away with family for weekend we came home to a flooded downstairs caused by a pressure release valve on our boiler. We checked Angies List for a boiler expert and found Sila they had top reviews so felt comfortable having them come in. The technician was punctual professional and responsive to our needs especially under the stressed circumstances. We found them extremely knowledgeable on the boiler as well as our AC unit. I elected after having the initial issue resolved to go with a service plan with Sila which is very good they cover labor and parts so we have "peace of mind" if we should have any issue in the future. We are also going to have them put our central AC unit on the plan. ***Recommendation to everyone who leaves there home for weekends or longer is to shutoff the main water valve to home if you can this will prevent major damage if a pipe, boiler, water heater etc, should fail while away.***

They were very good. We have an older house with radiators and I didn't think they could do it at all. It seemed like a huge amount of work because they had to bring in tons of these great big vents and carry them to the attic which meant they had to go up two flights of stairs. They had the handlers outside, laid down all the conduits, drilled a hole in the ceiling, and dropped a hose down to all the different little vents. It's a very humid area in the summer where we live and I was resisting doing it because it was just incredibly expensive, but I'm lucky we did it. They were reliable and although there's a million companies out there they happen to be good for an older house. I thought the price was fair and I liked that they were able to do it without messing up my house. I think their quality of work was excellent and their responsiveness was good. They came when they said they were going to and did what they said they were going to do. The head service person was very polite, very nice, and a gentleman. I wish I had a better thermostat, but it works perfectly.

Sila installed 2-zone high velocity air conditioning in our 85-year-old 2 story colonial. They came when they said they would and completed the job within the agreed-upon time (5 days). The work was done well and the workers were efficient and clean. The installation went smoothly. The units function well, although we've not been able to test the air conditioning yet on account of the cold winter weather. We will have forced-air heat installed next year in our second floor by the same company. The sales representative, Brian Smith, was informative, helpful, and polite; but despite his laid-back demeanor, he did a good job putting on the pressure. Nevertheless, we felt he was honest, forthright, and knowledgeable.
