Bad service and a waste of my time. Will not use this provider when there are others that can do the job as well.

They scheduled an appointment, and had to reschedule because I was not at home. Showed up and did the job, very professional, great service.

Was honest in his opinion that it would be difficult to do in our house. Recommended some other options but given the parameters, felt those werent the most aesthetic options. Appreciated his honesty.

The technician arrived on time and was extremely courteous and professional. I told him I had had problems with the central AC unit flooding the basement when it ran for an hour or so. He looked at the unit with me and located the problem and cleared the line. Fast and efficient service and central air that now works properly - just in time for the next heat wave.

Eric was courteous, knowledgeable and explained what he was doing along every step of the process.

They were great. Will definitely use in the future. They were courteous, punctual, educational and effective.

I purchased this service through the Angie's Deals discount service, and though there was one scheduling mix-up, had my appointment within two weeks of contacting them as a new customer, in the heat (pun!) of A/C season. The technician arrived within the two-hour window specified, and walked me through all the details of my very dated A/C system, pointing out all the possible issues going forward without turning it into a high-pressure sales situation. He was here for about 90 minutes, which is twice what I was expecting for this discounted check-up package I purchased, and I feel a lot less clueless about my system after this service. Technician was friendly and professional.

Very professional and thorough A/C inspection at a great price for Angie's list members. Will be using again and would recommend to anyone. One nit: they cancelled the appointment twice and rescheduled for other days... once because they were too busy and once because "of the rain," but when the inspection was done it was raining. Go figure. Nonetheless, I've used them for both heating and A/C inspections and will continue to do so- the technicians are very well trained and very professional.

If I had a dollar for every minute I've been sitting at the new house (which we have not yet moved into) waiting for Sila to show up, I would be able to pay the full bill of $4K or so with that money alone. They cancelled on a day when my husband (CEO) took a day off work to accommodate their arrival and they are ROUTINELY late so when they give you a service window, it's not accurate at all. They don't call to let you know either. You get to call them to inquire about what happened to the service window. You'll be told that a job ran over, that they are 15 min away and/or that they are stuck in traffic. The crew, however, is VERY professional, courteous, capable and I do believe that Sila is a quality company. I believe they provide a quality service and I trust the work that they do. But this overall experience has been highly frustrating as we've fully catered to their haphazard schedule. Perhaps they need to rework the scheduling method or customer notification process (ie: oh, Mr. Customer, so sorry but we are totally going to miss the service window for the 3rd time by X minutes so please feel free to go about your day otherwise and we're revising that service window proactively).

Dennis ,the technician is a credit to the company and was absolutely professional in his performance. He lacked a 26x26 filter replacement but substituted two overlapping filters that will do the job. Dennis cleaned out a former mouse nest in tte outside apparatus but checked everything to ensure no wire insulation damage was done by the mice. I would certainly endorse this company for A/C work.

The technician checked cooling gas levels and replenished. Inspected indoor units. Checked hoses and visually inspected zoning control board. Ran the system to confirm good operation. Provided tips and info about the existing setup and possible improvements. Answered all questions asked.

Service Tech was great! He came VERY promptly at the beginning of the time window that was given. He wore those foot covers as to not track dirt in or around the house. He reviewed and looked at the entire installation and gave us advice as to how to prolong the use of our units as well as fix anything that wasn't functioning well. I would totally use them again.

John arrived on time was thorough and informative and friendly.

It was difficult scheduling an appointment so I sought a refund.

Steve arrived early (good) pleasant guy, appeared to know just what he was doing.

We had a tenant being evicted from our home who'd made a claim that our heating system was leaking carbon monoxide and not functioning properly, it was a bogus claim, but Sila handled the unusual situation professionally when advised. There was nothing wrong, they checked all aspects of the system and tested for carbon monoxide leaks. Service technician was prompt and courteous and I would definitely call them again if I needed this kind of service again.

John was extremely courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, pointed out potential problems and installed a part to avoid this.

The great service started from the moment we purchased the special. We received an email letting us know that they were aware we purchased, and looked forward to hearing from us. I called in, and they were able to come the next day and arrange their schedule so that they can come before I had to leave for my work. I was worried about the timeliness but they were right on time. Noel is the technician that came to our property and he spent a lot of time going over everything, explaining, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I really liked his personality as well. I look forward to working with him again.

The story starts with me buying a condo and receiving a $350 electric bill after moving in. I immediately suspected the heating and scheduled an inspection/tune-up/cleaning with Sila. From the very first phone call, there was discrepancy between the ?Deal? offered on Angie?s List and the price given by the operator. However, we worked out the price and the technician came right as scheduled. He was very professional and personable, but tried to sell me some services that seemed way overboard. To wire and program a new digital thermostat was over $100?I already wired and setup the thermostat myself (took maybe 40 minutes), so wasn?t necessary. However, I did need to swap out a breaker on the indoor Air Handler and according to him this service was also over $100. Sounds like an intimidating project, but I grabbed a screwdriver and did it myself in literally 5 minutes (seriously!). At this point I was wary of cost, but that is when he discovered the real issue?the outdoor Heat Pump had leaked out all refrigerant. I had no choice but to pay for the pricey leak check, which was in the area of $550. Long story short, the Heat Pump was busted and needed to be replaced. It was an old R-22 unit (which is being phased out), so I had to get a new R-410A outdoor unit AND a new compatible indoor unit. *Sigh*??just great. Needless to say, I was not happy about the snowballing costs. A sales rep came out, and initially I was quoted over $10,000 for a top-of-the-line Heat Pump & Air Handler. The shock led me to do lots of internet research and I collected quite a few quotes from other companies that I found on Angie?s List. Ultimately, I got a pretty good idea of my options and the possible costs; for my little 650 sq ft apartment, I definitely did NOT need a $10,000 Heat Pump system. After all kinds of phone calls and estimates, I settled on an appropriate system with Sila for $6,000. The cost was a bit more because a crane rental was needed to get the outdoor unit on the roof. With all the financial mess aside, the salesman who served as my project manager was actually incredibly professional and super responsive (through phone calls and especially emails). He was also incredibly accommodating, so I would give their customer service an A+. The actual workers were also very punctual and courteous, and the job went very smoothly. I stayed in my apartment for the full duration of the job, which took the entire day (from 9am all the way to 6pm). They appeared to know exactly what they were doing and worked very efficiently to get everything up and running. They were also very respectful of my apartment?they were very careful with bringing in or removing equipment, had special covers for the bottom of their shoes, laid out lots of sheets to protect the floors, and kept a very tidy work space. With regard to customer care and service, the project manager and his technicians made an excellent impression for the company. All in all, if you?re completely ignorant about your system, they could take you for a bit of a ride; however, I?ve come to realize this is true of all these companies. After doing a little research and getting multiple estimates, I felt comfortable using Sila. If anything else pops up, I believe I would feel pretty comfortable using them again (after doing my research of course).
