The service was fine. They were late. The price was fair.

My heating stopped working on Monday evening and I could not figure out the problem myself, so I went on to Angie's list and purchased an Angie's List offer for $149 which covered a diagnostic call-out. I was keen to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible so I called Sila first thing on Tuesday morning, told them I'd purchased an Angie's List offer, and asked if the work could be scheduled ASAP. I was relieved to be told that a technician could come at 1pm. In actual fact, the technician, Doug, turned up at 11am and was excellent. He quickly diagnosed the problem and got the heating working again. He suggested that I get the furnace serviced, so I paid about $100 and he did that while he was there. Doug explained what he'd done and was very professional throughout. I can't think of how a repair experience could have been any better. Thanks Sila!

No issues. Just a basic inspection.

I got someone out the same day WITHIN THE HOUR. He was here just about 1 hour, found and resolved the issue within that time! Did not charge anything over the service call fee, which was a fantastic courtesy! He also changed out batteries for me within that price. Even speaking with their company over the phone was a great experience! Top notch, very professional guys. Would definitely recommend & use again! Would give an A+ if Angie's List would let me!

The technician was professional and thorough in his work. As a first time home-owner, I'm not sure how this cost compares to others, but it does seem a bit high.

Other work involved removing the old furnace and its miscellaneous sections. The furnace is on the second floor which involved bringing the old furnace down and out as well as carrying the new furnace upstairs. All was done quickly and efficiently. The man who brought the new furnace helped get it upstairs and also assisted with the removal of the old furnace down the stairs and out to the truck. All of this was done expertly and efficiently....these are obviously very skilled and experienced workers! A new digital programmable thermostat was installed and Alex explained how to use it.. He also provided a manual and a quick summary card to go with the thermostat. Heaters were provided to keep the house warm while the furnace was being replaced. Tarps were provided for all the walk on areas. There was also some work done on the outside connections to an old air conditioner. A new air conditioner compressor can be easily installed again if I choose to do that in a year or so. Also thanks to Steve Martinez, Sila Project Manager, who set up the furnace replacement process and a 5 year loan I am using to pay for the furnace. This was an easy process which Steve facilitated. Thank you Sila. You are a great company!

They went fine. I thought what they did it was a good price. It was pretty good work.

I met with the sales people in my home and they were able to give me several options. The work was done in less than a week originally in April 2014. Everything was done professionally and cleaned up afterwards. The system works flawlessly. Installed zones both upstairs and downstairs in an old house without having to tear up any closets etc.. It is very unobtrusive and looks great. We ran into a major problem with the permit on the job. Although I got frustrated at times, I give them an A because they could have become non responsive and ignored me but Bryan and the office always responded when I contacted them. They were professional and courteous at all times. They took care of changing everything that needed to be changed when the approved permit changed the location of the condensers and finally got the inspection and certificate of completion. Although it took a lot of time, I understand that it was an unusual situation and am comfortable giving them the high marks and recommending them to others.

Problems were found and rectified

They provided information about our heating system -- which was new to us, because we had recently bought the home -- and fixed radiators that were not getting heat. Very professional.

The company wasn't great about communication via email. But phone conversations were quick and easy. The serviceman was punctual and thorough and highlighted areas that needed repair. He did, however, give me a $15,000 estimate for annual service and maintenance and installation of a system humidifier for my 20 year old home. So i felt like the inspection was more of a sales call.

Regular routine. The guy was nice and helpful in answering all my questions.

Update: It turns out that SILA did try to contact me - via the Angie's List message board. Which is completely bogus because I have no reason to check that message board on a regular basis. SILA has all my contact details and should instead use my phone/email.

After several months of HVAC system issues it became apparent that our system was in need of complete replacement in a short period of time with the holiday approaching. After soliciting quotes from numerous highly reviewed vendors, we were quite impressed with Bryan's approach for Sila. He carefully reviewed and evaluated our existing system, provided a thorough and comprehensive quote and took over an hour to sit down with us and walk through what he was recommending and why, and to review the cost (and financing options) for the project. Bryan was punctual, prompt, professional and highly responsive, and though we had other similar quotes we opted to use Sila ultimately because Bryan committed to having the full replacement done prior to Christmas and was very responsive to our requests. The crew (led by another Brian) were courteous and professional while in our home over the holidays, safeguarding the carpets in the house whenever they needed to enter and explaining the status of the job on an ongoing basis. The job was completed on time (Christmas Eve day) with some minor modifications to the initial scope (but no cost increase - in fact a manufacturer error resulted in us being provided with a better boiler at no additional cost) and the system activated. We were pleased to have a complete HVAC overhaul in 4 days with no surprises as to costs, and highly professional installation. As far as post-installation follow-up, we noticed that the 2nd floor zone was not emitting heat when the weather turned cold (only a few days of installation) and Bryan had a crew out the same day to evaluate - it turned out a wire in the air handler was in the wrong place (a factory mistake, not due to installation error) and Mike had the system up and running properly in less than 45 minutes. So far very pleased with Sila's service - prompt and professional. The price of the system was obviously significant but in line with others who provided similar comprehensive quotes. We look forward to using Sila going forward for our HVAC needs and are looking forward to improved utility costs with our higher efficiency system.

It seems that he was thorough and was respectful. The only problem was that the next morning, the furnace did not turn on, but the company sent someone to the house to fix it within hours. He had simply forgotten to push the restart button. But who knew?

Steve was great! He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. I told him that we were looking to have some additional work done in the spring and he called Brian(the project manager) to come over and take a look at the potential job so he could give us an estimate. Brian was great as well! Very professional and knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is that I was not expecting an additional charge($160) to replace the belt. I was ok with paying for the part and the additional time it took because it was necessary, I just would have preferred to be told of the additional cost before the job was completed and not after. Steve did say that I could have that amount credited to my bill on any future projects.

The repair person was prompt and professional, and the work was well-done. My only complaint is that they came to do an A/C tune-up, and discovered I needed some repair work. I have no problem with them charging me for the visit and for the services rendered, but they charged me twice for call - once for the tune-up and again for the repair work, although they were already on site, when they determined I needed repair work. It seems like a rip-off.

They said they were coming. I was not at home. They fixed the problem at the end. There were some other charges for the labor and parts. The deal was only to figure out what the problem was. They had to charge for the labor and parts. They came out pretty quickly. They came out the next day. In general, it was fine. The only thing was the fixing cost. I think the cost was a little bit high for whatever they were fixing. My family had no complaints. The AC is working. The quality of work was pretty decent.

Servicemen Doug and Steve were polite, professional, and patient in addressing all my questions. They also seemed very knowledgeable and we're very thorough with the inspection.
