Sila Heating, Cooling and Plumbing

Andrew, Sila's service technician was timely, professional and provided information about his service. He was also very polite.

We had gotten from Angie's list, the name of a company called Sila Heating and Air Conditioning out of White Plains, NY. They are excellent. We did a 7 foot expansion of the new kitchen and Sila Heating and Air Conditioning did the new vents in the new kitchen. They were very, very good. They initially put 4 ducts in. Then they came back because we needed to move the ducts slightly forward to accommodate the kitchen cabinets. They came back and did that very quickly. They were very efficient and very professional. The work involved expanding existing heating system over area of extended new kitchen. The gentleman I dealt with there was Brian Smith. He was excellent, very good, very, very responsive and very professional.

They came when they were suppose to and they did a nice job. They met my expectations. One tech took about an hour and a half to perform service and left area clean.

He came to the house, but he never got back to me.

The guys were prompt, friendly, and took the time to explain what they were looking at as they inspected everything. I had to reschedule the appt a couple times for work reasons and they were very patient and flexible. Will definitely hire this company for any further service needs.

He (Abraham) came at 9:30 and left at 11:30. On the contract he wrote that he started at 8:00. I found it suspicious. He said that I need to change a piece, a blower motor capacitor. He said it was important and that it costs 436. I said ok. When he left, I checked online how much that small piece costs. It costs less than 20 dollars. It took him less than 20 minutes to change it. I feel that I have been ripped off and took advantage off. I basically paid him and the company 400 dollars for 20 minutes. The other time he spent on the furnace was for the tune up of 59.

Went pretty well. As long as nothing is wrong with your system, it's a pretty painless housecall. ;) We've had the same technician come to our home twice. Very nice, polite and seemed to know his stuff. Tip: Make sure you ask a lot of questions.

With the contract, they come in and do the inspection, and make sure everything was running good, and clean everything and that's part of the contract. Fortunately we haven't had any other work, they cleaned the furnaces, they checked the gas heater, they bleed some air that was in the line, we had a little noise in the heater, they had it in the hot water system. Checked all the electrical, I think they replaced a thermal cup that's the safety switch for the gas heater. That's about it, they checked everything, made sure everything is full with electricity, they checked the air flow and stuff, I don't know they were down there for quite awhile. They made a report and they leave it on the furnace. We've been using them for 8 or 10 years.

They do good job. They do nice work and they're always on time. They call before they're coming, they're very professional.

We have a contract with them, so I'm not sure exactly how much they charge per year, if we have any problems, they just come in and fix it. we don't have to pay for service, we pay contract. They checked the air conditioner, they cleaned it, it's outdoor but the condensing unit. They cleaned it, we were a little short on Freon, they charged it up and they checked the temperature made sure it's right, the pressures, then they come in to your house and they put a filter in the air handler. They inspect the foil, you know the evaporating coil. They do a good job, they're complete. They're reliable, and good work. They're not cheap, I don't know.

Sila responded to my request quickly and a representative came to my home soon afterwards. The rep was nice and explained the differences between the systems, but he never got back to me with quotes, even after multiple emails.

Problem came back a couple of weeks after they left.

They were very prompt, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I give them A's all across.

These guys are the best! I initially utilized their services months ago, I was so pleased, I gave a write-up here then made referrals to neighbors who used them and were pleased. I used them again right before the change of seasons. For all my 'trouble' ; ) I got a box of Christmas CHOCHOLATES!!! Totally unexpected and very much appreciated! Looking forward to years of service stellar service : D

service person arrived on time and went about solving the problem without any issues.

They kitchen faucet has been working fine, but unfortunately the toilet handle is not functioning correctly. They did a very good job and I was very impressed. They were very professional and came on time as scheduled. I felt the pricing was fair. Over all I was very pleased with their services.

It went well. The technician was very professional and thorough. He made recommendations for a replacement. I felt like they were honest but I wasn't ready to purchase a new unit.

Technician was super courteous and very professional, said my furnace was running hotter than usual and calibrated it down which will help with cost efficiency. He was very thorough and helped me gain some insight on HVACS as this is my first home. SILA will definitely be my go to HVAC/hot water heating company from now on.

Although we had not done business with Sila in the past, we were very happy with their service. They arrived when they were supposed to, did what they were supposed to do; explained what was being done, what the results were and what options we had, in a very professional manner. Good service for a good price!

They were fine. It was fine. They came out on time and they did what they said they were going to do. My interaction with them was fine. The work was fine.

The next day he never shows and never calls. I have to call the office to find out he is running late, no kidding, and he eventually shows about 4 hours late. He then tells me he can't replace the valve on one of the radiators but does replace the other one. He then reels me it is still $400 for some unknown reason, as if his labor costs $800 an hour because he was only there for around 30 minutes. Now half the radiators in my house are not working and it is getting cold, yes these are the ones he said were OK. I contacted the plumber I have been using and asked him to look at it and he tells me that the correct way to address the problem is to replace all of the valves to make sure the system has correct pressure. This makes sense to me and his price to replace 11 valves is $400. Including labor. needless to say I will not be calling Sila ever agin.
