Marie and Vinny were professional and efficient. They diagnosed the issue and corrected it. The price was reasonable.

They wanted close to $700 to check breaker panel, etc for a simple outlet/lightswitch repair. I refused and just paid for service call. Will take my business elsewhere!

I called to book an appointment for a quote, to upgrade our 100A breakers box to 200A. I was told it is $59 for a quote (first electrician ever that wants to charge for a quote). From one of the newest reviews I just read on this profile, someone wrote on March 7th 2021: "They also did a free electrical assessment for me.". Very confusing business practices. I liked the reviews I had seen here. I do not like being charged for a service that others get for free.

Over the past 12+ months I’ve used Red Star for a variety of services including (1) the installation of recessed lighting in my kitchen, (2) installation of track lighting in my family room, (3) installation of light fixtures in my dining room and hallway, (4) installation or replacement of various indoor and outdoor outlets, (5) installation of outdoor motion activated floodlights and (6) replacement of my Water damaged main electric service line into my main panel in my basement. In all cases Steve and his team (Murad, Hector and Alex) we’re very professional, prompt, thorough and neat/clean. Steve is very responsive to questions or follow up needs. I am very happy with all of the work to date and would highly recommend them for any electrical need. NOTE: Cost below is for all services listed.

I am so impressed with Red Star Electric. They are 100% professionals in all aspects of their Business. Steve contacted us immediately after we submitted request for quote and I had a proposal that evening! Steve and his Crew are the real deal. They arrived exactly at the time stated, they kept me informed the entire stage of the project. We have an old house with a lot of unknowns and potential issues. The crew handled each and everyone like champs. The feeling of knowing that my house is wired correctly and to code is invaluable. We are so happy with the finished project and will be calling Red Star Electric for future projects.

Steve and his crews did an excellent job of installing and starting up the generator and worked well with my plumber (Colangelo Plumbing) which installed the gas piping and interfaced with ConEd. Steve is a pleasure to work with and is very responsive. It was an arduous six month project due mostly to ConEd regulations and scheduling, but everything went smoothly.

It went amazing. Alex & Hector were incredible, professional, and explained every detail of the job along the work. They work was phenomenal and they made sure to clean up after themselves. Red Star staff are on the money. From Raffel, the onsite person and Steven, the offsite manager, they make the project work.. Timely calls, detail explanations and excellent customer interactions are the reasons why I will use Red Star in the future. Of course, as a consumer looking for a bargain, I thought the price was high... But quality work costs and it was worth it..

Went above and beyond to fix and replace shoddy wiring and lighting switch and installed light. Was professional and worked quickly. Only complaint was that prices were a little steep.

This was a pretty easy job with an easy-to-assemble fan. Red Star was able to book this within a few days. I received a text message confirmation asking me to download an app (seriously?) The electrician was on time, professional, and finished in less than an hour. The only glitch was that the name of the electrician was different than the name provided in the text message. While I felt that the price was a wee bit high given the simplicity of the job, I was glad for the quick & professional service. The fact that there was no haggling or negotiations was a plus.
