A rep. came as scheduled and took a look at the project. We were supposed to receive a written estimate. 2 weeks after site visit i called, inquiring about the estimate. I was promised immediate attention. A week later, no estimate, another follow up phone call, another apology from a somewhat bewildered employee wondering why no estimate was prepared. I was then told the site visit info. was being left on the estimators desk (chair, so he would see it 1st thing in the morning). 2 weeks later, no estimate, another phone call. Turns out no estimate was prepared. I requested and was given back the $25 fee they charge for estimates. Please be aware that I wrote this review because I received a call today from someone at Angie's List inquiring specifically about Micheal Bellantoni Co. These events took place 2007.

They took care of everything. They put in some new batteries. It was very nice. They were very good.

They were very pleasant and nice. They were a little more expensive than other estimates we received. We ended up going with someone else.

They are a very good company. I have had them for many years. They are a very reputable company. Once he fixed the problem I had with water in my basement and we haven’t had any problems since.

They were very good. He is very detail oriented. He has all types of experience with all water related problems. He also put French drains in my basement and a pump. He did work in my previous home as well; which is why we asked him to give us a hand with this house. They aren’t the cheapest, but they did it right the first time.

They had a representative come to my home to check some things out. They gave me some written information. I changed a few things around my home and then decided to go with another option. Their service was good.

They’re fine. Everything is always good. I am always satisfied and have been using them for about 10 years.

They were not use friendly. They said they would come back, but they wouldn’t come back. They sent bills that were wrong. They wouldn’t respond to conditions that needed immediate attention.

I thought he was very professional and he was very informative. It was just a little on the high end regarding price.

He did not end up doing it. He was very good and honest about it. He let us know that for him to move his equipment and do the work would costs us more than finding someone else. It was a simpler job. He was an honest guy.

They do good work. They are very professional, timely, and do a good job maintaining our landscaping, lawn mowing, trimming bushes and other things of that nature.

They are teriffic! They back up what they do.

The provider returned my call in a timely manner and gave me an estimate on the phone. I needed more than a phone response or at least more information than he provided.

He did excellent and was totally professional.

They were a pleasure to work with. John, the designer, listened to what I wanted and came up with a creative and beautiful plan. The initial cost was more than I wanted to spend so he revised the plan to bring it in on budget. They did a great job, were neat and professional and responsive.

The company sent a rep to review our property fairly soon after I first called to inquire about fall weekly leaf-blowing service. The rep told me he'd have an estimate completed later that day or next morning. He cautioned, though, that it might take a couple of days longer before the office actually e-mailed it to me. That "couple of days longer" turned into over two weeks. I actually got a generic marketing e-mail from them before I even got the estimate! When I finally did receive the estimate, after calling to inquire, it was outrageously over-priced. I thought perhaps I was reading it incorrectly, or that they were factoring in some services that I could forego for now and just stick to the leaf-blowing only. So I called and spoke to the rep who visited my property. No, that was the price just for blowing leaves per visit for a private home with property under a quarter acre containing a couple of well-pruned/cut-back oaks in the back, plus an elm and maple in front (which are actually on the city easement, very close to the street), and two small weeping cherries. Not a forest. (Note: I'm not new to this home; I've been living here for 11 years, know the property very well, have both worked it myself and hired contractors, and I know what and how long it takes to blow out the leaves.) I called Bellantoni based on the Angie's List review, and also because they do work in my area so they're already here working in the neighborhood. When I questioned the price, I was told among other things that it includes travel to AND from my property. They work a property right down the street from my house. Travel expense? And if one also pays for the "from," are they also charging a "to" to the property owner that is next in line? Both parties paying a "to" and "from"? In any event, it's clear that they weren't really interested in taking on my small job, or that they would have happily taken my money if I didn't know better and agreed to pay such a high price for what would have amounted to maybe 10-15 minutes of high-powered leaf-blowing once a week or thereabouts. An easy and quick small "add-on" job just up the street from other clients. A landscaping company the size and scale of Bellantoni, and others similar, are interested in big jobs, or long-standing clients with smaller properties perhaps but with lawns which are pricey to maintain professionally. They're not for small homeowners (unless you have that pricey lawn). This is okay, they're a bigger company, so that's understandable. My issue with them is that they should have been forthcoming from the get-go about not wanting a small, just-blowing-out-leaves account. Or, in taking it on, that their pricing would be more "upscale" even to just blow out leaves. In other words, they could have not wasted my time, and I would not be rendering a negative review. But Angie's List exists for the members, and I'm compelled to pass along what I feel is necessary information for other small homeowners.

Michael responded to my email right away. I set up the appointment immediatley. I called them the day of the appointment because the tech had not shown up during the window of time they had scheduled. I was told the guy was stuck at another jopb, but the would send another tech within the hour. The second guy showed up on time and worked quickly. Turned on the system, tested the system and valves and checked the sprinkler heads. Everything was done in about 15 minutes.

The relationship began well but after I accepted their estimate and gave them a deposit in advance it took repeated phone calls to get a date to start. Admittedly it was springtime but the fact that $124 was debited from my account 60 days prior to even any committment to start should have alarmed me. When the crew finally arrived to re-seed, aerate and lime the lawn I was told they had "forgotten to put the lime on the truck." Further, the power aerator "was in the shop" so they just "raked really hard." I thought they were kidding until that's what they did. To make sure I checked the official-looking esitmate and it specified, "power aerating and special ime application." All this was necessary because the backyard heretofore was used by our dog. Sadly the result was a blotchy mess photos of which I sent to the company. They knew I wasn't satisfied but since they already had my credit card they debited the balance due. Buyer beware of this outfit!!

I had a service contract with them for my lawn maintenance and they did the maintenance of my lawn for a couple of years. I liked their professionalism and timeliness. They did a good quality job. I stopped using them because their price was significantly higher than their competition. I was spending $250 a month for a fairly small lawn. They were an established and professional company with many employees. I would get an estimate from them in the future as I know that they would do the job well. I have a contract with another company now that is a small business and they charge me $175. Also, they do a job just as good and their fee is very reasonable.

Alhough my property is much smaller than their other accounts probably are, I always received professional attention. Appointments are easy to schedule. Everyone who has come here has been on time, pleasant to deal with, known what he was doing, gone about the work efficiently. Impressively, their various departments actually coordinate schedules with one another, so that their work is done in a logical sequence (irrigation work vs garden maintenance, for example). I don't have a lot of experience with other similar companies, but have always felt that Bellantoni's estimates and pricing are good.

They are very good and very professional. The people are quite friendly and I like dealing with them.

He is responsive. I feel his price is very fair. He is very professional and honest. I would highly recommend him. He cleans up all his mess when he is done with the work.

I CONTACTED 6 COMPANIES TO GIVE ME BIDS. BELLANTONI WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE & HAD PROVIDED SERVICES FOR THIS AREA FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB, VERY RESPONSIVE & VERY REASONABLE.
