Matt did a great job prepping and painting 3 rooms. There was a decent amount of prep work that needed to be done, including skim coating almost an entire room. Everything was done well and in a timely fashion. Also when he was asked to fix some trim that we weren't happy with, he came back the next morning to quickly fix the problem. Price he gave me did not include materials. I already had a bunch of the paint, so I purchased all paint.

He did a great job. He was professional and friendly. I couldn’t ask for more!

Matt and his brother were the actual painters for our project. No other men were here. From the time I met them, Matt and his brother were totally professional and the work was done carefully/neatly/thoroughly.. When I had questions before the project even began, Matt was always available. I would highly recommend MH Painting for your interior painting needs. Personable. Professional. Very attentive with every stage of the job.

The provider was at my house 10 minutes early! He was incredibly polite, and professional all the time throughout the time he was working. The provider also left the areas where he worked very clean and debris free, it was almost as if he was never there. During the all the work (painting, plastering) it all went without any problems. He was a pleasure both while setting up the schedule, and during the work. I also found his price was reasonable for a stress free repair. I've already recommended him to someone who needs their whole apartment painted. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

He went out of his way to do other little things that he didn't need to do necessarily. He was so clean, picked up after himself. He did a wonderful job. I definitely will use him again.

Matt is extremely professional. I picked him not only for his competitive rates, but because he returned my phone calls promptly, followed up, and it was easy to tell he was customer-service oriented. The paint job took one day longer than quoted, plus one more day because we changed the paint color in the middle of the job. Matt was able to be very flexible when we changed things up on him and everything was seamless to us in terms of what had to be done to finish the job and procure more paint.

We are in the midst of a kitchen renovation. We knew that once the backsplash and wall cabinets were removed, there would be damage to the plaster walls. We are doing open shelving and no wall cabinets, so the walls had to get into tip top shape - no room for error. Matthew came highly recommended on this site and we were not disappointed with his work. In fact, he did a great job smoothing out our walls and ceiling. We had large holes in the wall that he patched up so well we don't remember where they were now. He also restored two knee walls that divide the two sections of the kitchen and skim coated over indentations from a removed chair rail along the walls of one of the sections. The job took 2 days and he was punctual both days. On the second day, when he did the sanding, he made sure to cordon off the kitchen door with plastic and vacuumed up the dust afterwards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for plastering. He knows his stuff. We will likely rehire him for other plaster work in our apt after the kitchen is done.

Got a good feel from Matthew, I felt he was a very honest guy, this made me very comfortable. Matthew and his brother did a beautiful job. They were exceptionally clean, another important attribute as 95% of the area is carpeted. Did everything they said they would and then some. I would hire them again in a heartbeat :)

I needed cabinet interiors painted and one whole wall repainted. I also had some plastering to do in spots.

Went well. They worked well, they worked neatly, quickly, and cleaned up. From quote to finish a painless process. Prices always irk me, but it was in line with what you will get elsewhere for good work, I am happy and best of all, it looked great for Easter and my guests!

From Estimate to finish he was extremely professional, prompt, and communicative. His work is very detail-oriented & neat, and he works fast. His brother, who also helped, is professional and fast as well. I depended on Matthew's advice as to what kind of paint to use on the walls and trimming as well as what color to use on the moldings. Excellent job. Matt always communicated when he needed further clarification. I was comfortable leaving him with the key. I will use him for future jobs.

Matt gave a solid estimate, he was on time for it and I got a great feeling from him from the start. When they started the work he and his brother were on time every day. Worked on the days they said they would and finished when they said they would. The work was outstanding. While he might charge a small bit more than the average painter he uses really high quality products and gives you a very high quality finish. They touched up walls and fixed damage on walls, they never just painted over something that needed a repair. They cleaned up each day after they were finished. I left them in my house each day for at least a few hours alone and I never had any concerns doing so. Overall, these guys are an A++ for what they do. Don't expect a bargain job from them, but expect professionalism, a job very well done. I will be using them again to paint my kitchen cabinets.

Matthew gave me the lowest estimate of 3 companies I contacted through AL. He seemed professional enough to do a good job, so I went with him. He said it would be 2 days work. We had to change dates several times because of external circumstances, and he was always easy to work with in finding dates we could both manage. He arrived at the scheduled times both days (with 1 co-worker). They did everything I asked for; including a few small special requests. The job was well done, very professional workmanship. They cleaned up the space good-as-new before they left. So I'm very pleased with the results. I will use them again next time, and can easily recommend their work.

Matthew and his brother did the work in a very timely and professional manner. They did a beautiful job. Matthew was great about communicating before and during the process, with minimal disruption to our home or schedules. They even finished a day early. When we get around to doing the upstairs, we will think of them first.

Overall it was an excellent experience. Matthew is a very nice and professional person. He came to give me an estimate for the job described above. We discussed various options and we settled on the job to be done. He performed the job in the time he told me it would take. He left the room in tip top shape. Very positive experience and I am going to use MH painting again definitively.

Matthew is an excellent craftsman and I enjoyed having him repaint our new 1BR apartment. He was always in time and managed to finish one day ahead of his initial estimate. He immediately gave a good impression and I felt that I could lend him my keys for the week he had planned to complete the job. The apartment was left in a spick-and-span condition. There was no garbage left, nor any leftovers from covering material.... things that you may see other firms leave behind. The quality of the work is perfect, in fact far better than the original job done. We are truly happy and would strongly recommend him!

He's reliable, he's pleasant and he doesn't bug you every five minutes. Matt is very personal, he keeps working, does what he says he's going to do and he's on time. I've never had a moments problem with him.

All I can say is that I am glad that the contractors don't rate customers or I would never be able to hire a contractor again. I was very anxious to get started on this contract in order to get the apartment ready to rent. However my urgency was quickly derailed when my own schedule got in the way of getting the job started. Matthew Hartmann patiently, but diligently and professionally, followed up with me to be sure I was still committed to the project and moving it along. I must say it was a perfect balance of respect and interest. We were further stifled by the red tape that comes along with working with a building board and their procedures. Since I no longer lived there, I had less influence. When the time continued to elapse, Mr. Hartmann discussed with me that he would need to work on another job and would come back to me. I was more than comfortable with that and he stuck to his promise, at which time approvals were obtained and work could start. We went to the apartment halfway through the job and my husband exclaimed that that was the neatest primer application he had ever seen. He completed the job on-time and with exceptional quality and clean-up. His quote wasn't the cheapest, but his availability was good and as it turns out, quality and professionalism superb.
