Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Vacuumed out all heating/ AC ducts. Removed lint from outside dryer vent

it was a 50% discount deal. but after they inspected the layout the system, it turned out that I've got 3 airhandlers so it counts as three systems, so it cost a little bit more than I paid for another provider last time I cleaned it. But the guys were quite polite and worked hard.

I purchased a vent cleaning service that included a dryer vent cleaning for $298. The company representative, Alex, responded in a timely manner and set up my appointment. When I had to change my service package due to not needing the dryer vent portion, this was done with ease by both Angie's list and Alex. I appreciate the professionalism given to me and I was also able to keep my original service date that was scheduled. I am looking forward to having the work completed in my house over the next two weeks.

They were very clean and professional .It took them around 3 hours to finish job( my house is small).They showed me pictures what they did.I'm gonna use them again in the future.

The job was most likely bigger then planned because my gas unit was missing a duct for the vacuum. They were great and acted like it did not matter.

Constantine showed up exactly when he said he would and did a great job being respectful of my home and cleaning my ducts. He cleaned up everything when he was done and explained the process throughout the service. I would call him again without hesitation.

My experience with Lowe's was great from the very beginning. Alex was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all the questions I had about the service and gave me the exact estimate over the phone. On the date of the appointment Constantine and his helper called 30 minutes before their arrival and got here right on time. They took their shoes off upon entering my house, which was really nice of them. They explained the entire process and got to work right away. The entire job took about 4 hours to complete. They were very thorough and kept my place clean. They showed me the pictures of the ducts before and after the cleaning. The difference was incredible. They also cleaned my dryer, which was really clogged since I haven't cleaned it for a long time. They also did a chimney sweep for me. I had a really good experience with this company, and I will recommend them to my friends and family. Thank You Lowe's!!!!!!

The "C" grade is due to the dirt that blew back out of the vents once I turned the heating system on as instructed by the technician towards the end of the job. A puff of black smoke emitted from the vents followed by thick billows of dirt. As the room turned grey, the technician commented that the "burning smell" was normal but within 5 minutes the entire room was covered in a fog of dirt. Even the vents covered with plastic wrap on the upper levels belched black dirt covering the white crown molding on the walls. I opened up all the windows but the dirt didn't clear, it?s now everywhere. This one lapse didn't personally affect me much only because I do not have anything in the building with the exception of a few items in shipping plastic. If you have a fully furnished house, carpets, children, pets, repertory issues or elderly folks living in home, this lapse would have been a very big deal, thus the "C". I?m planning to use 2 industrial strength air filters to cycle the air in the entire building in the next few days. It?s annoying to clean and sweep yet again but nothing serious. If I did have any of the above (furniture, repertory issues) I would grade this service a ?D? regardless of the effort. Its possible that the dirt blow back is normal for the system I have combined with age and over all condition however this was not mentioned at the start of the job. Even if he had mentioned it I don't think this is acceptable. More details: I purchased the deal from Angies List. I recently purchased the building, its unknown when the ducts were cleaned by the previous owner. The absence of holes in the mains tells me duct cleaning was not performed any time after the last renovation. The technician showed up 5 minutes early to start work on my 3200 sq ft, 4 story early 1900s brick building. Total work time was around 5 hours, I was expecting two technicians given the amount of work but the tech sent by the company worked efficiently by himself. I showed the tech the vents on all floors then he headed off pull his van closer to the building. When the technician initially pulled out the shop vac I started thinking I got hustled. Luckily he had more than a shop vac but also used the push-pull method which involves cutting a hole on the main line, attaching a negative air machine at one end of the duct system, then using compressed air or a brush system to push debris toward the negative air machine. None of this was explained to me before or while he was working, I just watched you tube videos to get up to speed. Another thing missing was corner protectors for walls and tarps for floors to protect from the equipment hoses. Since I was going to renovate the walls and banisters wrapped in hoses this didn?t bother me. Make sure you bring this up if your home is in a different state than mine is. I didn't see the tech use a brush on the ducts, no cameras in the ducts either or scrubbing tools. The tech showed me a photo of a return vent he took with his mobile phone before and after cleaning. The gas powered air tool with cleaning whips was used on the returns, I didn't see this done on each line but admittedly I wasn't standing over his shoulder for the full 5 hours. I didn't want to hover over him the whole time plus I was watching his van that was parked out front on the sidewalk. The return vents were cleaned but I don't think all vents were cleaned with this tool. Certainly if the system was fully cleaned then I wouldn?t have seen the dirt blow back as I did. The tech did point out that several return vents needed repair or replacement including some nice handy work by the previous owner where they used dry wall (now missing) rather than a duct. The tech also pointed other things about the system- the wrong size filter, the wrong vent used on the dryer and the exit pipe and so on. The tech did a great job on the laundry vent, it was in an awkward position behind the dryer but he stayed at it, cleared the lint buildup and replaced some old duct tape with metal. Its a shame about the dirt blow back, I can't recommend this company.

We contacted Lowe's to arrange an appointment for our cleaning and they were very friendly and professional. We later found out that the issue with out ducts is not because they need cleaned but because of a manufacturer defect. So we were not able to use Lowe's but all of my interactions with them were great.

,Our appointment was between 4 and 6pm. Their worker called and explained he was working alone and would arrive at 6:30 and he was here at that time. After connecting his vaccum to the main return duct, he went to every register in the house. He removed the register, vacuumed it and that end of the vent and replaced the register. In total we had 17 vents in the up and down house. This worker was courteous, professional and tidy. He also offered us advice on our heating system. The job was done fine. However, if I had known it would take so long to complete - 4 hours - I would have made an earlier appointment. However, I did not ask for an estimate of the time involved.

Overall, went really well. The two guys arrived on time and really knew their stuff. They took the time to educate me, which I greatly appreciated, and then went about their business. There was a lot to do, and in total the job took almost 4 hours. I literally felt like I was stealing with them, since I'd used a $199 coupon from Angie's List and they'd driven up to CT from NJ. So I tipped nicely to try and make myself feel less guilty. Overall quality of the work was excellent. The ducts looked as close to "new" as could be expected given the old age of our home. They missed one vent, but I can't fault them for that given how many they did clean and that many of the vents are hiding. Overall, an outstanding value and excellent quality work. Will definitely use them again.

Very happy with the service. We received a call from them within a day or two to set up an appointment. They arrived on time and finished the project in around 3 hours. They were very clean and careful. Would use them again.

Once I established a date and time, Lowe's service was excellent. The two gentlemen who performed the service called the day of the appointment to let me know what time to expect them. They were punctual and professional. As they performed the services it became more and more apparent how knowledgeable they were. They explained everything and even showed me the inside of the vacuum so I could see the results of the cleaning. When working on the air handler in the attic, they noticed that the coil needed cleaning and made time to take care of it within the visit. This made a long day for them but it did not affect the quality of their work. They took their time and did a thorough job. At the end of the day we all felt good with a job well done!

The 2 gentlemen called when they will be at my house and arrived on time. When they arrived, they asked me to show them all the vents and the main trunk in the house. I just moved to this house about 2 years ago. They told me the vents probably cleaned only one time and they showed me the photos of the dirty vents and main trunk of the air duct. Then, they immediately get to work and showed me again cleaned ducts after they vacuum all the ducts and vents. The whole processed took approximately 3 hours. I would hired them again.

Lowe's was very responsive and friendly, unfortunately they could not accommodate me in Manhattan or in the timeline need in NJ.

They could not perform the work because their Equipment was too big for the the space they needed to get into so I have to find someone else.

My questions were answered and the experience was awesome. They called me to let me know that they were on there way. They arrived on time and made a tour of all my ducts and they started working. They took care of my floors by placing a tarp leading into the basement. They explained what they were doing and pictures were shown before and after. My questions were answered courteous and i never felt that i was asking too many questions. The 2 workers were very professional. Also, the workers were not rushing their work. It was a great job and they took their time. I have hired professional workers for a/c mechanic, plumbers, painting and so forth and rarely have I come across a company and workers that their foremost reason is to satisfy the customer and that their purpose is to do a fantastic job and keep the customer happy. This was not a rush job. They cleaned after themselves and there was no mess. It has been one of the best company that I have hired, if not the best. I slept great because the duct cleaning was exceptional. So, if you need the ducts cleaned, don't hesitate to hire Lowe's Duct Cleaning and don't forget to have your dryer cleaned out. I had my air ducts cleaned which had not been clean in years (just bought the house) was clean. These guys do a an excellent job. If there were a rating for A+++ these guys would certainly get it. They work hard, and the knowledge base for the product is excellent. I happy to see and learn that they are in the Tri State area, and Montclair. Their website seem to show that they were primairly in the DC area. Give them a call. This is truly the best serice I received among the great services on Angies List. Alex, Constantine, and Jim, arrived on scheduled. When entering the house they all removed their shoes (a nice touch). Alex was in charge. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what service was to be preformed. They worked as a team, quick and efficient. I would definitely them again.
