+ -1 moreHe is fast but cuts corners. If you are looking for a really good painter - don't call him. However, if you want a quick cover up and have it inexpensively done - he's the guy.
Description of Work: Lazlo and his crew painted the interior walls of several rooms in my home - not my main floor rooms - including trim and doors.

+ -1 moreLazslo did not do the work as agreed upon. Upon inspection a few days later, it was evident that a second coat had not been applied to the hall and stairway. The wall's paint was patchy and uneven. No wonder it had only taken him half the day to finish painting - he didn't apply a second coat, saving him the materials and labor expense of doing so. Secondly, the kitchen ceiling was supposed to be painted white, with an eggshell finish. He painted it white, in semi-gloss using paint that I had, again, to save him the cost of the paint. I called him and left a message to report his failure to fulfill his obligations. I have not heard back. Surprise. This weekend, I purchased paint and applied a second coat to the hall and stairway areas. I spent about $50 and 3 hours of my time. It looks much better now. Look for a reputable painter elsewhere.
Description of Work: Laszlo was initially hired to patch the plaster in the living room's ceiling, damage resulting from water leaks from bathrooms above. The damage covered about a 1/3 of the ceiling and I accepted his cost of $300. Following completion of that work, we discussed and agreed to smoothing the plaster cracks in the rest of the celing's living room, painting the hallway, stairway, and the kitchen areas, including the celings. We agreed on a additional price of $900, and the walls were to receive two coats of topcoat, since there was a slight change of color to a lighter shade from a darker one. The jobs took two, part days. He allegedly completed the job on the beginning of the afternoon on the second day, and my wife paid him.
