 + -1 moreWhen I lived in my previous apartment in Tarrytown, I had them put up blinds on my transom window in my kitchen. They did a very good job all the way done the line. Therefore, when I got my coop and wanted my main windows done with top-down, bottom-up blinds, I went to them again. You put down 1/2 the total amount when you order (no cancellations or refunds) in the store and set up a date for them to come and measure your windows. I ordered on 4/5 and the proprietor came to measure the following Monday, 4/7. On Monday, 4/25, they called saying the blinds had come in and they had time that afternoon to install them. A different gentleman came and installed them (like last time), and he was punctual, courteous and professional--as was his boss. It was a lot of money for these Hunter-Douglas blinds, but getting rid of draperies and being able to better control the light--top and bottom, and privacy, as well, is great. Also will keep out the hot sun of the summer and cold of the winter. Couldn't be more pleased. I should also say that I got a $75. gift card bonus from Hunter-Douglas soon afterward. I

 + -1 moreHandy Andy has been the place to go to for window treatments for the past several years. I've used them for all of my 3 houses. Their prices are good and their workmanship is excellent. They treat me very well.
Description of Work: They measured, cut, and installed eleven heat protecting shades in my kitchen and twenty-three wood blinds throughout the house.

 + -1 moreThe shade came in about 3 weeks, as promised. John installed it with the modification needed for wheelchair use. The fabric works well so that the birdfeeder can be seen but the glare is blocked. John also took the old shade and hung it on another window in the house at no extra charge (we gave him a tip - I hope this does not get him into trouble!).
Description of Work: We needed a light blocking but not view blocking shade for an office that got too much sun to work. I went to the store and Doug helped with several options, then made an appointment to bring samples, measure and discuss with my husband, who is the end user but is in a wheelchair so needed some adaptions.
