Perry and his team at Giant Siding and Windows did our new Gaff roof, Marvin windows, and all our new James Hardie lap siding and trims. The work was excellent for the beginning of the process to finish. Perry was great at explaining all our options and managing our project, a true straight shooter. His crews are extremely experienced and provide quality work all the way. All the new materials and finishes have really improved our homes look and feel.

We live in an old house in need of a lot of love. Most of our windows were in rough shape, broken or potential finger guillotines. We turned to Giant and had a really good experience! The whole team was professional from start to finish - whether scheduling with Laure, estimating with Perry or installing with Alfonso. The windows arrived by the date planned, installed in the specified timeframe and done correctly. No issues or drama, reasonable pricing and plenty of window choices to choose from. Finally, we can use our windows again and breathe fresh air.

We are very happy we did. The owner, Perry, came to our home, explained in detail the work to be performed and what set them apart from the other Companies. The foreman and the crew were professional and completed the work in a timely manner. From day 1 to completion of the project we had no issues or problems and exceeded our expectations. We will be hiring them on our roof project soon.

Very bad company. Had leaks after the work. The guy wouldn't even return my calls or emails. Once I paid him he was gone. Never came back. He told me "All work guaranteed," but he didn't honor his guarantee. The contract I signed said "Guaranteed," but the guy doesn't care. Be wise. Stay away from this company. You will only get headaches, Save yourself a lot of trouble. Now I have to pay someone else to fix it. Then I will have to take Giant Siding to court. Warn your subscribers. This outfit is TROUBLE!

Called their phone #, got to the answering service, took a long time to give all details. Went online and submitted the contact request. Did not hear back from either. Called again to ask the answering service to reach them. Finally got a call back from 914-358-1913 and was one of the rudest conversations I have ever had with a service provider. She told me they don't do roof repairs (despite what their website states) [*** Link removed ***] "ready to install a brand new roofing system or make necessary repairs to your current roof." Very politely I offered feedback that their answering service has not been very effective, and a couple of my friends with $10k+ roof jobs weren't able to reach them, and went with another roofer. She offered to talk to them, but in a very aggressive tone and hung up. Very politely I called back to explain that I was providing constructive feedback on behalf of her customers to help her grow her business. She yelled back saying she doesn't need feedback.

They were really good. Perry the owner did the quote and analysis of what needed to do. Good at explaining everything. Price right in line with insurance. Easy to work with. He got all the permits and did the job in about 1 1/2 day.

Work was done in Oct 2012, at which time we gave this vendor straight A's. Our review was so good that the owner of the company, Perry. responded "Well no need to make us a blush!! thank you so much for the kind words. Its exciting to meet and work with people who you feel you truley share something with. This was a great experience for me, and I will forever be at your service should you need me. Perry." About six to eight weeks ago, a handle on one of our casement windows broke. the windows have a lifetime warrant. To date, Perry and his employee, Laure have not gotten us a replacement handle. To further complicate matters, one of our gutters on our detached garage, which giant had installed, is not pitched properly, and therefore water is not draining down the downspout. I sent Perry a text message and email and have not heard back. We are very disappointed. the pics attached are of the window handle and the sash, both which were requested by Perry when we first called him to request a new handle. This happened a couple of years ago on another window, and back then we got a new handle within a week or two. We have reached out to the manufacturer to let them know we are not happy with their dealer's lack of professionalism and response, I guess that Perry's definition of forever is different than everyone else's definition of the word. Remember, Perry did say "I will forever be at your service should you need me. Perry." Really???

I called to schedule an appointment and they said they would come out. The day of the appointment they called stating they do not do repairs. I see that as bad business. In the Angie’s List publication magazine they never mention that they do not do repairs.

We met with Perry over the course of 2 years. We weren't able to hire him the first time around due to other major renovations at my house. On the second occasion, he came over and it was almost as if 1 full year hadn't passed. He remembered what he quoted us and still honored the quote from the year before. It was the best price we received (which was a bit concerning at first but we decided to move forward due to our impression of Perry and the reviews on Angies' List). The job took 7-8 days and went entirely according to plan. The demo was extremely rapid and everything from rigid foam insulation to Azek trim to siding went up flawlessly. There were of course some issues along the way but Perry handled them all in a timely, professional, and fair way. I would definitely recommend Giant to someone looking to do a similar job. It was truly an awesome experience and we have loved looking at our new siding and trim every day since.

Working with Giant Siding was one of the best "capital improvement" jobs I e ever gone through. Perry (Owner) was prompt and responsive. I priced out his services and he was very competitive. I initially chose Giant to replace the siding on our house. I then realized it would be better to replace the windows at the same time. Again, Perry was knowledgeable and price conscious. He estimated the start date, which was spot on. He estimated the time to completion. Again it was spot on. During the siding project, he pointed out the roof issues, of which another 5 years was probably all it had. I did not view this as a hard up-sell. It was mentioned in passing. I asked him for a quote, which again was very competitive. Upon approval, he scheduled it upon the completion of the other work. It was done quickly and efficiently. The completed workmanship is excellent, and not just to my untrained eye. A painting contractor I have used extensively inside the house came by to review what touch-up work he would have to do. The answer was essentially none, which was very impressive to him. Giants' team of employees are incredibly hard-working, respectful, and clean the premises at the end of each work day. Speaking of which, they arrived at 7:30 and left at 6:00pm. All in all, the project was a complete success. The comments we have received on the look of the finished product have all been extremely positive. I would not hesitate to recommend Giant Siding & Windows!

Perry was very responsive and was punctual on the initial visit. His presentation skills were a little rough meaning he says what he thinks and I appreciated that. We went over the options , the highs and lows. He described the job in detail and the potential surprises clients usually experience when replacing siding and how they respond to the various scenarios. I appreciated the candor and the straight talk. When they arrived the first day , the crew was very polite and well organized. The work area was cleaned up at the end of the day. They were very methodical in their approach and at the end of the week, the result was excellent. They addressed all issues immediately and repaired items without mention.

For those of you have replaced a roof before (and for those who have not), you know that is is a very intrusive and major renovation. Perry and the Giant Siding team were ABSOLUTELY amazing. They walked us through the whole process and delivered on exactly what was promised. The quality, cleanliness, and efficiency of their work is great. Called Giant to get an estimate on a siding repair and roof assessment for an area of our roof that has been causing trouble by getting iced over in the winter. When I called the first time, the receptionist was obviously sick. I made a comment about how it was too bad she was sick. She was gruff and unpleasant and clearly not happy about having to take my information. I waited about a week or so and called back after work and left a detailed message with their off-hours answering service, still no reply. It now November and I have had to call someone else to do the work.

I met with the owner of the company, Perry Hayes. He arrived at my home at the time scheduled. Perry explained the scope of work to me including the time to complete the job. I found Perry very knowledgeable and most professional. He returned all my phone calls promptly when I had some questions prior to giving the job to him. I have dealt with many contractors in the past and found Perry to be a stand-up and reliable contractor. He told me the job would take about 4-5 days from removal to completion. The job was completed in 3 days. The work that was done was excellent and the crew that worked on my house performed like a well oiled machine. I would not hesitate to recommend Perry to anyone. I am a very satisfied customer.

We had a great experience with Giant Siding. Gian was a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job! This was the first time we had ever re sided a house so we had a lot to learn and Perry was great to work with. They gave us addresses of houses to look at that they had done or to see the color siding we were considering. When the project began, they accommodated our comings and going with small children. We were concerned about debris that might be left in the yard that would cause a safety issue. However, the safety and clean up were exceptional! The on-site supervisor pointed out that the electric ground wiring was severed and that we should call Con Ed immediately. When Con Ed arrived, they shut down the power because of the danger! Many thanks to the Giant Team who could have saved us from a horrible accident. It just confirmed what we had heard - this team really is exceptional! We love the way the house looks too!

Perry, the owner, came to our house a couple of times to discuss our needs and to lay out a plan of action. He was very good at explaining things and answering questions. He quoted us a very fair price which included a discount for doing the roof and the siding at the same time. He was very professional and responsive. The crew worked incredibly hard and their attention to detail is amazing--there is a big (impressive) difference in the finishing (like corners, edges, seams, etc) between our house and the other houses on our street so we are very happy with the results. This company has EXCELLENT workmanship, GREAT value, no sales pressure, diligent crews and everyone is patient and accommodating of the homeowner's needs. Any problems that they encountered were minor and they just fixed them without charging us extra. This included removing some scary wasps' nests, resizing a door frame that wouldn't fit around our slanted house and switching out a new siding panel to account for holes left by a house number that ended up being too big. They installed our new porch light, doorbell and mailbox. After the job was finished, Perry walked around the house with us and checked out every little dust speck and ripple that we were concerned about, then sent someone back to fix every one of them. If I were to have a negative about the company it would be that there is a slight disconnect between the planning process with Perry (which is a laid-back process) and the actual work process. The work started before we had met the project manager. (He was here OFTEN, but we had to seek him out to find out who he was.) There were also a couple of instructions/decisions that never made it from Perry to the crew, and some of them speak limited English, but we were able to iron it all out easily and quickly and the project was well-managed. Because of weather, we had a couple of interruptions. I got nervous when these interruptions happened because we have been burned by contractors in the past, but this company lives up to its promises so I needn't have worried. We scheduled our job during the hottest and busiest season so they had to leave our job for a couple of days to finish another one and they also had to take a day off because it was dangerously hot. Perry told us it would take them 6 days to do the entire job, which was exactly true. The 6 days were spread out over 11 days because of the interruptions, but they even worked in the pouring rain one day to get the job done! It was a huge job and even with interruptions, they completed it very well in a short period of time. One of the reasons we decided to hire them was that when I asked for references and houses I could drive by, Perry gave me a long list and I noticed that in a couple of the neighborhoods he sent me to, he had done a few houses on the same street. One of the references I talked to told me the same thing had happened on his street. People were so happy with their jobs that they recommended him to neighbors, which I will also be happy to do in the future.

The job came out very well. The install was done in one day and they blocked off the area well so that the rest of the house stayed clean. The job was done neatly and we have received many compliments regarding their work.
