I looked around and called the five largest, well advertised fence installers within Westchester. I met with all of them in turn. Some wanted me to stop by their showroom while some wanted to stop by the house and see the project. I chose Ruben because I liked his business approach: he is focused on brevity and understanding the job rather than salesmanship. We met at my property after work one evening and discussing the project. There was no pressure and no sales psychology. He took notes and a few days later, provided a formal, yet easy to read estimate along with a diagram of the yard and the work to be done. Also, his estimate came in significantly lower than two other installers (I will not mention who), telling me that those two were price gouging! The other two were only slightly higher than Ruben's estimate, but I knew one to be of horrible durability (after speaking with several friends and neighbors). That left only two. Because of Ruben's reputation and no-nonsense approach, I decided to go with him. I should mention that I had performed my own research and Ruben had directed me to their website which listed their products, services, and examples of the materials. Unfortunately, finances prevented me from installing the fence at that time (divorce & custody battle). So, fast-forward two years and I reached out to Ruben again, sending him the two year old estimate. There were no price adjustments and I again verified that he would remove the old fence for a nominal charge, which included digging up and disposing of the old cement post footings. The installation took two full 8+ hour days of hard work by his team and at the end of the first day, when I came home after work, I could not believe what I saw. I imagined that the locust split rail fence was going to be something which was average, compared to the others that I have seen throughout many of these Westchester towns. But what Ruben's team had installed was a large, solid, beautiful fence which, to this day, I still receive compliments on. Thank you Ruben and your team for exceeding my expectations!

4 years ago, Colony installed black chain link fencing around almost our entire back yard. They had to remove, or work around portions of old fencing bordering our neighbors' yards. They were prompt, worked quickly and neatly... completed a beautiful job in one day. 2 years ago, a neighbor skidded down our driveway one icy morning and destroyed a portion of picket fencing (not previously installed by Colony). Colony responded quickly, installed new picket fencing to replace the damaged stretch, as well as one additional area to keep everything matching. Again, beautiful work. Highly recommend.

Ruben is a great guy and knows his stuff. He showed us several styles and provided much needed advice on things we never would have thought of. Pricing was competitive and services were rendered as promised. As with any installation there is sometimes a need for the contractor to come back. Colony fence has been great making minor repairs when a huge storm system blew in last winter. Would definitely recommend Colony Fence!
