We were very pleased with the work that was performed. The only real challenge was the miserable weather which changed our 2-3 day job into a one week challenge. We do not have extensive landscaping but the plantings that we did have were well protected by the careful workers. We also have a sloping yard and the fence was placed very evenly. I indicated that we got more than our money's worth because Ruben was also very good at helping with suggestions to block off a couple of areas that we would not be fencing with vinyl in order to contain our dog. When we had a couple of questions they were addressed in detail right away.

Reuben answers the phone when you call. He's Mr. Colonia, so, no need to talk to intermediary. Came out next day. Gave very detailed quote in writing for 4 different areas on the property. Helped me design a custom PVC fence that looks super--and I'm PICKY!. Came out to do part of the install exactly as I needed (holiday week-end) just so that I could let my dog in and out--for my convenience. Probably wasn't convenient for him, but, he did it without complaint. Workers are on time, courteous, and very expert. Repaired a hang up on a gate that wasn't in the quote without charge (or even bringing it to my attention!) and put concrete on two posts without asking for more $. Fencing isn't easy, people, and, take it from me--when it isn't installed properly, it is a waste. Reuben came to do what should have been done first time! Really like the quality of his hardware and PVC products. Not like other PVC fencing you see around.

Contractor responded within a few hours to my initial phone call for an estimate. Arrived the same day and gave estimate. Very thorough review of alternative fencing choices and the written estimate included the prices of each alternative. The estimate was completed during the contractor's initial on-site visit. The job was started a few days after signing the contract and completed on the same day started with the exception of the gate installation, done the next day after cement hardened around gate posts. Contractor is very knowledgeable and willing to spend time explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each type of fencing. He brought brochures of fencing types and a sample of aluminum fence.

I received estimates from 4 contractors. Three of the four estimates were close, with Colony being at the high end of the three. When they agreed to match the lowest bid, I hired them as they were the most trustworthy and thoughtful during the appraisal process. They scheduled the job two weeks out, came on time and completed the entire job in two days. Prior to Colony starting the job, we had numerous changes on the height and style of fencing and they were very courteous during this process.

They came right away and gave an estimate. The cost was what the estimate was. They did take a little bit longer than expected, but it turned out to be okay. He had to come back and fix it and was able to do that.

Ruben Colonia responded quickly to my phone request for a visit to the house for an estimate. The pricing was fair. He was very cooperative in working around the schedule of other work that was going on in our yard at the same time. His crew installed the fence in a day. We are very satisfied with the result.

Excellent. Ruben and his crew were reliable, nice, professional, cleaned up after each day's work, nice quality of work. Job was priced custom, laid out in parts so we could choose to do part of the work or all. Many styles of fencing to choose from. Ruben didn't consider the job complete until we were happy. Made a few personal visits, inspection, etc.

My next door neighbor interrupted the service twice, claiming that the workmen were installing the fence on her property (the second time after having apologized to me for the first time). Colony left the job both times at her demand, despite my instructions that the fence was indeed on my property. They did return each time, however (except for one time I scheduled to be there personally and they didn't show up or call). But, I appreciate that they were dealing with a threatening and irrational person in my neighbor. We finally did establish the property line, and Colony did return to finish the project.

Ruben was extremely professional and helpful from start to finish of our project. We received a prompt estimate and once we decided to move forward with the fence, it was completed with two weeks of our initial inquiry. Ruben and his crew removed the old chain link fence and constructed the 57' including 3 gates within 1 day. The results are amazing as it blends well with our property and provides much needed privacy from our neighbors and a busy side street. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the results! It was a pleasure to work with Ruben and his crew!!

The initial contact was professional and friendly. The estimate received was less than the one other estimate we obtained from another firm. The work was done with little delay and accomplished efficiently, with only minor damage to adjacent plantings, and with little residue.

We agreed to a board-on-board, semi-private, 7ft tall, and 35ft long fence in beige. Ruben came to our apartment and was very professional in his manner and reassured us that this custom job could be done safely and efficiently. Since our apartment is 8 stories up, we had concerns regarding the strength and dexterity of the fence when faced with the windy winter season. We agreed to a 3rd of the money up front and the balance, when the job was completed to our satisfaction. Ruben and his men were very accommodating to our schedule and began work on a weekday as requested. They took special care not to damage any items in our apartment including a new hardwood floor. The entire job was completed in a day and we loved it. Now we have the privacy we envisioned when we first bought the place.

He was prompt and courteous. Either answered his phone immediately or called back promptly. Showed up when expected, work was neat and thorough. Area was left neat at end of day. He was on site on the first day to set up his workers and then almost daily to check on the work. He was available for questions and comments. Workers didn't speak much English but Ruben was available for site issues so it wasn't a problem. I tend to be very particular about how every thing is done, and he was patient with my comments and concerns. Highly recommend. Also, he honored a 6% discount for Angie's list customers.

Ruben Colonia was prompt, punctual, polite, and attentive to detail, with good ideas for this minor project. When we changed our minds on a small design issue, he made a point of making a second visit to be sure he understood our needs. The work itself was excellent, the laborer was pleasant and eager to do a good job, and we're very happy with the results.

The job was done very well. There was an unexpected amount of work to be done with removing a cement wall and everything was done well. I am very happy with the service and the fence.

The installation took one day by two workers and a follow up visit was made by Ruben to inspect the fence posts. It has been a couple of weeks now and we have not had any problems with the installation. The workers were professional and mindful of our requests such as not discarding wastes in our neighbor's cluttered yard. My wife and I are very satisfied with the Colony Fencing company. From the estimates to the completion of the job, we found them very honest and professional.

Ruben responded promptly to our initial call for an estimate, as well as each subsequent phone call. He was very thoughtful about explaining our options and what the work would involve. We have a very difficult (rocky & hilly) terrain behind our house and needed to install a fence, that would on one hand contain our energetic dog, but also provide separation from our neighbors property, and be aesthetically pleasing (as the fence would be in clear view of three of our neighbors). The fact that most of our property behind the house is solid bedrock covered with only inches of soil, meant that the fence posts required drilling into the rock and setting the posts in concrete. Ruben and his worker arrived when promised, explained what they would be doing and when they would be doing it and only asked for access to running water outside the house. They worked quietly and carefully. They cleaned up the work site beautifully after the job was complete. Their work was excellent!
