We got three estimates for a new cedar (inground) pool fence. One place wanted almost $7,000, the other $9,000. Colony quoted a little over $4,000, which seemed much more reasonable as we don't have a very large pool/patio area. All of these fence companies use the same supplier, as we quickly discovered (they all give you the same brochure), so I'm not sure why the other places were so much more expensive. We went with Colony and two guys came out. They put up the fence in two days and it looks great. They also took down a lot of the vegetation that had cluttered the old fence area, and worked in 90 degree heat without complaint. They cleaned the area very well before they left, and took away the old fence. Our pool area now looks fantastic. I would highly recommend these guys.

The crew of three did an excellent job. The terrain is very sloppy where the new fence was installed. The boys removed all the old fencing and took it away in their truck. They installed deep holes for the cement of the new metal posts. In the afternoon of the 2nd day, they returned to hang the stockade fencing. Great, great job. The fence is beautiful and very sturdy.

We set a date up and b/c of weather it had to be changed. They notified me the nite before that there may be a chance they were not coming. In the morning they reconfirmed a new date. They were there promptly on the new date. No issues at all. Everything was done exactly how we wanted it done. Everything was cleaned up like they were not even there. A real pleasure to do business with. Communication was great and so was the service. I would recommend them to everyone.

Great communication from receptionist to installers. Always kept me up to date with progress in reference to: How Long to get material, installation, etc. This is a commercial piece of property with 12 residential tenants, I needed to make sure this was the Company for this job. It appears a made a excellent decision thanks to Angie' List.

Ruben showed up on time for the estimate appintment - gave a prompt wriiten and detailed estimate - found price to be competitive and given the professional presentation of the the estimate, and prior reviews on Angie's List, decided to go ahead with this company. Workers were on-time, installation was excelelnt and they work clean and expeditiously. They even repaired sagging gate that was not in the origial scope of work. Would definitely use this company again, and would recommend to anyone needing residentail fence work.

Everything went well. We called, he came over the next day and provided us several estimates for different repair options. We chose to have only a few parts of the fencing fixed rather than replace the entire fence. We scheduled a time for the repairs, which he completed on time. Everything looks great after the repairs.

Ruben ordered the fencing, which took approximately two weeks to get. During the whole process Ruben was very easily accessible by phone and text message, updating me when the fence material would be in his shop and when he expected to complete the work. His crew spent two very long, days working to install the fence with proper concrete footings and making sure it was all plumb and level. They also removed any traces of the old fence as well.

They gave me an appointment for 8 a.m. The employee called at 8:20 and said he wouldn't be able to come until 9a.m. We couldn't wait til then. They took 5 days to call back after my initial call.

Mr Colonia and his crew did a really good job and cleaned up the area perfectly after they finished. They worked until around 7pm to finish in one day and we couldn't be happier. Very nice job.

So far, not so good. Filled out their online contact form to get a quote about a week ago and haven't heard from them yet. Site says they'd get back to me in 24 hours. Not so much!

The company, headed, by Mr. Ruben Colonia, exceeded every expectation. The storm damage to my outdoor fencing in February and March 2011 couldn't have come at a worse time. As a widow making the difficult decision to sell a much-loved home, the additional financial and emotional stress of another home repair was great. The fencing and outdoor home repairs were vital to the preparation to get my house on the market by late spring/early summer. After contacting the company who originally installed the fence (Walpole Woodworkers) for an estimate, I learned that the cost to replace my custom wood fencing was beyond what I could afford. I needed an alternative. I needed a company that would maintain the elegance and quality look that the house deserved. After an internet search of local fencing companies, I found the Colony Fence Company. Mr. Ruben Colonia responded quickly to my request for an appointment. His expertise, respectful manner, ability to listen to a client's needs, and professional character enabled him to create a design that was a perfect match in quality and price. I was kept informed on every step throughout the construction project. Several times, Mr. Colonia offered small suggestions for accessories or placement of decorative pieces that greatly enhanced the design and look of the project without affecting the price. His crew mirrored his high expectations for service (punctuality, professionalism, keeping a clean work site, and respect). Because Ruben and his staff exceeded all expectations in the timeliness and quality of the fencing project, he became the perfect resource to use to consult on my additional outdoor projects. This ultimately led to my hiring him and his crew to build and repair my slate and brick patios, repair the railroad tie-lined brick walkway, and assemble a long-ignored pergola, whose disassembled pieces lay across a back brick patio. His crew provided cement footings to secure the pergola and assembled what is now the showpiece of the backyard. There are no words to accurately describe the excitement, relief, satisfaction, and gratitude I felt toward the finished projects. What Mr. Colonia and his staff have done is provide a lasting gift to my new homeowners and a treasured memory that I have given a home that I loved the care that it needed.

Ruben was very responsive from the initial contact asking for an estimate to replace a gate. He gave us an estimate and completed the work within a very short period of time. The gate looks and works great.

We used Colony Fence to finish our backyard and match existing fencing from 5 years ago. The end result exceeded our expectations and our backyard is now secluded, private and defined. I have told many friends and co-workers of Ruben's great work ethic, attention to detail and end product. We would recommend Colony Fence without a doubt. A special 'thank you' to Ruben and his crew for a job well done.

Unbelievable. I called Ruben and he was at my house the same day and did the work a week later. I will never use anyone else but Colony for any fence needs. He is a true professional.

This was a return call to Colony Fence to lower a section of 6' fence to 4'. Fence was installed appx 9 months ago and the 6' section did not suit our needs. We talked to Rubin on Thursday and he had his men out to the house on Tuesday. Even the cold weather dosen't stop Colony Fence from working! The men were here promptly and lowered the fence to our desired height within hours. We are happy with the modification and found Rubin to be just as pleasant to deal with on this second project as with the first.

Reuben gave a very specific estimate on the cost of repairing the broken parts of my fence. His cost estimates were very reasonable. In addition, he pointed out that my existing fence has errors in its construction, as part of his review of the work needed, which I hadn't noticed since it was installed a few years ago. Reuben suggested slight modifications that would improve the fence, at no extra cost. He said when the material would come into his shop, and when after that he could do the work. The only disappointment was when the fence parts didn't arrive at his shop in the time he had mentioned, and Reuben had to finish the job a few days later. That's not unusual given the extra demands placed by a major storm. The job he and his men did is excellent. I'm so glad that I found this company on Angie's List. You can't imagine: All the older and larger fence companies were too busy to even reply to my request for work.

They never contacted me for a quote or anything.

They never showed at 2 and so they rescheduled for 5pm the same day. Again a no show at 5pm and no return phone call. Very upsetting as I lost a vacation day.

They had great suggestions for what would work and look nice, too, walked the property with me to make sure they understood what I wanted, responded immediately and with great feedback when I thought they had made a mistake (they had, but it turned out what they did was the smarter option), and completed the job to perfection, with not a shred of cleanup on my part. They followed up to make sure I was pleased with their work, too. I would highly recommend them, without question.

I have used them in the past for repairs and will use them again.

i engaged Colony Fence Co. after reading a few reviews on the Angie's List website which were all quite praiseworthy. I was not disappointed. They responded to my inquiry quickly, gave an estimate the next day finished te job promptly. There estimate was, in some cases, one-third the price of other fence companies. The job was done professionally in every way. I would certainly have them additional work for me and recommend them highly!
