Description of Work: They packed our old house and moved boxes into the new house. The workers worked very hard and were pleasant. Of the 5 movers, one was sloppy and did not pack neatly, but the rest were excellent. I would recommend them and use them in the future.

Description of Work: The movers got into an accident with the moving van, which delayed their arrival at my new place. They knocked over my birdcage, and all three parakeets got loose in the middle of the hectic move, each one hitting its head on a window before I could catch it. It made the move much more stressful than it needed to be. I also thought the move was too expensive--about $2000 for a two-bedroom apartment.

Description of Work: They were wonderful. I am a single female and really have a lot of items, since, I love to collect. Since I was putting everything in storage, they made sure that everything was wrapped in a way that it would be safe and not get damaged. They also helped me with my own Van that I was using for personal items. I have moved over 20 times and only three of those times it was great, now I can include Al's Moving in my moves. Thank you Al's Moving for making my move stressless and easy.

 + -1 moreI would definitely use Al's Moving and Storage again. However, there is a four hour minimum and my move took only 3 hours. But the movers were courteous, efficient and hard-working and I was very satisfied.

 + -1 moreI described above... I think this is the laziest crews I've ever seen and the company is just trying to squeeze hours out of you!!
Description of Work: I only got a quote from them, but I have seen two of their crews in my building working... The laziest people around!!! It took 4 people 4 HOURS to load a 2 bedroom into the truck!!! Are you kidding me!!! When we moved into our apt we used another company and we had 3 guys load the truck in 1 hour from a 3rd floor walk up apt in NYC!!! Now, that was service!! The company is called Empire Movers in case you want to know, but they are based on NYC and I needed a company in White Plains.

 + -1 moreThis company was assigned to my "white glove" furniture delivery. I did not pay them directly. The moving guys were great. They took good care to unload, move, and assemble the furniture professionally. They were also pleasant. I wish the same could be said about the customer service department. It took three calls to get a delivery appointment. Then the day before my appointment they called me wanting to deliver that afternoon rather than the next day. I had to leave work early to meet the truck. I figured it was better to do that than reschedule. They did not think they could deliver the next day as originally scheduled. The truck did show up that afternoon at the time promised. I realize that mine was a small job for them. Because of their less than friendly customer service, I will not be calling them when it comes time to move.

 + -1 moreI like Al's Moving & Storage because they are very dependable and professional. They are very willing to work with you if your schedule gets rearranged. I've used them before and they've always done a good job. One piece of furniture got slightly damaged and they hired someone to fix it and paid for it themselves.
Description of Work: They moved us a very short distance. I did my own packing and they moved all of my household goods.

 + -1 moreI THINK THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS. FIRST OF ALL WHEN YOU SEE THEM CARRYING OUT A PICTURE FRAME MADE OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL ONE AT A TIME YOU KNOW THEY ARE STRETCHING TIME. THEY CHEATED US DRAMATICALLY. THEY ADDED AN EXTRA HOUR. I TOLD THEM I WOULD REPORT THEM, AND THEY SENT ME BACK $100.
