raj called right away, came exactly at the time he said and did the work in less than 15 minutes!! Broken air conditioner is now working perfectly! He saved our weekend. It was very expensive ( double the rate because it was the weekend)

The Absolute Comfort team was professional and prompt in providing a quote. They walked me through the details of two different options: ducted and ductless A/C, including the pros and cons of both. I decided to go with the ducted system and it was installed in a timely fashion. The team was highly communicative and asked me questions along the way whenever necessary. When I had questions in return, they were answered in a clear and concise manner. A day or two after installation, we noticed that the upstairs wasn't cooling quickly, so an Absolute Comfort team member came to our home right away (on a Sunday!) and looked into the matter. The issue was immediately resolved and now our A/C system works very well!

Paul was very quick to respond to our questions and very thoughtful on the work to be done in our house. We were originally thinking of installing split units for all rooms but Paul's suggestion was excellent: split units for rooms on the first floor but central air for rooms on the second floor. The crew was excellent and explained things to us very well. Now we have an extremely quite air conditioning: we barely hear anything when our air units start (but unfortunately we still hear noise from our neighbor's window units!). I would recommend Paul to anybody.

We only had the estimate done, but did not go through with the installation with this company, though it was truly a difficult decision. I called to get a second estimate on ductless AC installation and got a voicemail so left a message. My call was promptly returned and they were kind enough to come out the following morning, which I thought was super fast, and was grateful. Two men came and measured and went over the details of the installation. They were polite and rather efficient, in my opinion. I did think they could have removed their shoes before stepping on my white rug in the nursery, but that's just me! Anyway, overall, I was impressed. They were also very punctual. At first I was told it may be a week before I would receive an estimate, but the owner, Paul, was great! He sent it within a day or so - which was super helpful. The owner was also very fast to respond in answering any questions we had and was pleasant, polite and seemed happy to help. I felt bad we ended up going with company #1, but again, it was a VERY tough decision. I would consider this company in the future for other jobs - even though we ended up not using their services for the ductless AC.

Very professional, knowledgeable from first meeting through the work. Very difficult job - wall was 22" thick (very old house with stucco/rock wall on first floor.) Very responsive to my requested time frame. Price competitive relative to the other bid we got. Workers professional, easy to do business with. Owner, Paul, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The electrician he works with is also excellent and is now our new electrician for other work. I would use this company again and recommend them to others for sure.

I was looking to have ductless air conditioners installed in 3 bedrooms and the living room. I went to Angies list and boy did I hit a home run! Absolute Comfort responded to my inquiry right away and the owner Paul set up an appointment for an estimate. Paul went over all options with me about room size and cost. Paul's team showed up early on the start date and went over the work process with me. All work was completed on time with NO ISSUES! These AC's are great! Quiet and cold just the way I like them. They also have a heater which I will try out in the winter. I cant say enough about Absolute Comfort. I have recommended them to 2 friend already. Angies list...way to go!

Paul Gomprecht, President, promptly responded to my inquiry, visited my house on my schedule*, explained and sized the system, estimated the installation time (1-1/2 days), and provided a detailed proposal. Upon my acceptance (with payment of one-half the contract price) he scheduled the installation at a mutually agreeable time. He and his crew arrived on time, and after getting started Paul left the crew to do the work. His crew were friendly, business-like and very neat (to the point of using their own vacuum to clean up the little dust). Paul returned later to check the work. The crew returned the following morning on time and finished the job in about two hours. Finally, the foreman explained the operation of the system and didn't just leave the manuals. I am very pleased with this contractor and would gladly recommend him. The price did not include providing a 208 volt electric service to the outside compressor unit, which I took care of separately. * He called early to notify me he'd be a few minutes late, instead of leaving me hanging.

They did a very good job and the guys were nice. Everything is working. They were nice and on time. They were very responsible and very civil. I think they did an excellent job. I think that they communicated well and were very professional.

Paul and his crew were fantastic. We had several estimates and eventually decided to go with Paul due to his knowledge of how to cool our house effectively and save us money. He recommended a state of the art system involving a ductless Mitsubishi system that not only cools but also provides heat to each room. Talk about efficient! We got to try out the heating component of our new system within days-thanks to the recent cold temperatures in April- and were very pleased with the way it warmed the house. Our main floor has the slimline units and the top floor has ducts in each room. We actually used the air conditioning the other night and it worked really well. No noise, easy temperature control. It almost sounds too good to be true that this unit can eventually save us tons of money on our oil bill next winter. We may have to use our old heating system when the temperature drops below 32 degrees but from what we can tell- this unit is a great solution to spending $$$$$ on oil. We got our lungs ripped out this winter and went through a record breaking amount of oil. We are optimistic about our new unit and so far we are extremely pleased. If you are looking for a new way to cool and heat your home, this is the way to go. We started out looking for air conditioning only and got a lot more than we bargained for :) The crew that showed up that day was polite, clean and courteous. It took them about 4 days and it was quite easy. We highly recommend them and would use them again!!!

Took a little while to hear from them but when I spoke to Paul he was friendly and informative. He went over several different options with me and was very honest... he did not try to influence me in one way or the other. Rather he gave me all the info I needed to make an informed decision.

Paul the owner came over promptly at the time he said he would be here and explained what he thought would be the best way to do the job. Paul was extremely professional and creative. He worked diligently to accommodate the room layout. His crew was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I had minor questions, and they came right back to help me through. The work was done exactly per specifications, and everything was thoroughly tested before they turned the system over to me.

We were interested in mini split (ductless) systems for our 1930s Colonial home, and learned in talking with several contractors that our home's configuration provided challenges and obstacles for any cooling plan. 3 other contractors offered varying solutions that focused on "central air" instead, at proposed costs significantly higher than Absolute Comfort's proposal. Paul arrived promptly for his visit and evaluation, and within days he provided a proposal for a creative and effective solution using Mitsubishi mini splits for the entire downstairs; another Mitsubishi unit in the attic cools the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. The solution involved a lot of work running cooling tubes through brick walls to the outdoor mounted units. The outdoor components of the system were mounted in an attractive manner and not visible from the front of the house. They do not visibly detract from the appearance of the house and they are incredibly quiet... virtually silent.. no disturbance to neighbors or for us when we're outside. The indoor units are attractive and very VERY quiet, and Paul's plan was both efficient and esthetically pleasing. Paul's "right hand man" is not only a very nice person but a talented and hard working engineer who really knows his stuff. We were very pleased with the high quality of the work and the finished results, as well as promptness and courtesy of Paul and his staff. There was a 3 week heat wave with temps in the 90s right after installation of our cooling system was completed... lucky us!!! Our home remained comfortable through the worst of it. The Mitsubishi units can also provide heat. As the temps have dropped in the last week or so, we're using the units to take the chill off one room at a time in the chilly mornings. So pleased we no longer need to run the furnace and heat the whole house to have a comfortable family room or office. We're very happy with our new cooling/heating system and highly recommend Paul Gomprecht and Absolute Comfort & Temperature Control.

I contacted Paul for estimate and was able to get him to come to my house very soon. He came over and looked my house, and gave me 3 options of different configurations. He also give me information on how much rebate I can get from ConEdison so that I can compare prices better. He also recommended an electrician that he usually work with. And he gladly gave me %5 off for being an Angies's list member, which is a lot of saving. After talking to electrician, to avoid upgrading existing panel, we had to change configuration that I originally picked. That was no problem for Paul. He actually spoke to the electrician to make sure the option was a sensible one, and emailed updated price quote document immediately. The estimate was done by the end of May 2013. After that, we signed contract, Paul ordered equipment. By the end of June, equipment was available. Due to our vacation etc. we had the installation done in the second week of July, right in time for the hot hot summer. Paul's crew, Raj, did a wonderful job installing outdoor units, indoor units, duct work in the attic. All work was cleaned up perfectly. There was no mess left from the work. And the crew always arrived on time, behaved professionally. The AC really made a huge difference for our family in the hot summer days. In westchester, there are about 3 weeks each summer that the temperature got really hot, and our old house. which is a cape cod style, the up stairs can get really hot, over 90 degrees. I am so thankful that we barely noticed the hot temperature outside once AC is installed. And the Mitsubishi AC is so quiet that I barely notice it running. Really, it is true. I used to hate window AC because it is so noisy and disturbing, we have to yell at each other when the window AC is running. Coming into October, we could turn the AC into heater as it is dual mode. One zone the unit is not generating heat for some reason. I emailed Paul. Paul was being very responsive and sent Raj to my house the next day. It turns out, the electrician installed 110V outlet for this unit instead of 220V. So the electrician was called in and fixed the issue. Now I am going to use the unit for heating in the winter as well. As they can be individually controlled, I expect to save some $$ on my heating bill this winter. I want to thank Paul and his team for doing a wonderful job. You have truly showed professionalism in your job. I would recommend Paul to any of my friends/co-worker who needs AC installation.

Raj was also great about drilling back in a grill from the ceiling that I could n't get back in on my own during my own hunt for the air filters, so I feel his visit to my home was worthwhile. The $140 initial service fee seems like the average (Yost and Campbell mentioned the same amount, another company in YOnkers did mention a cheaper $85 amount but they were not available until after the weekend). So this fee seems like the average going fee. Maybe should be a little cheaper like in between at $100 for being a smaller company but being a smaller company made them more available to me on the same day (Yost and Campbell did not even return my phone call to confirm that they would be coming. They just showed up after I had already had my problem taken care of). So overall, good, straight forward and honest company to deal with b/c of Raj.

Our AC stopped working. We called Paul at Absolute Comfort. They were there within hours and diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately. Reasonable, clean and reliable

We paid overtime, because they came out on a Saturday during a heatwave. Fixed the problem within an hour. Other companies could not come out for at least a week. They called us back, and came out the next day! Very professional.

We got estimates from 5 potential firms, and Paul stood out from the getgo in his willingness to respond to our questions about the best system for our needs and priorities (energy efficiency and flexibility in control). We had thought we wanted a different kind, but he took the time to explain pros and cons for various options and we're very pleased with what we ended up with. After many years of suffering through summers with noisy window units in apartments, having a quiet, cool house to come home to is a real treat. Always prompt and pleasant to deal with-I really wish everyone we've worked with in updating our house was like Paul. He did what he said he would, when he said he would, for the (very fair) price quoted. The house was empty when they did the work but whenever we checked in it was spotless after they had left. He even did all the rebate paperwork so we just had to add our Coned acct #. His assistant was also great to deal with, and they went above and beyond to fix things when it turned out the electrician we had hired had done some things incorrectly in wiring the system. If you asked me what he could be doing better I really wouldn't have an answer, and I think anyone looking to add central air would be well-served in calling Absolute Comfort & Temperature Control.
