James was very involved with the planning of the move. We spoke on the phone and emailed to plan the logistics.He was always courteous and precise. The move was relaxed and profesional. I was watching his workers and they were fast and profesional. I was very impressed by how smooth the process evolved and concluded. I was impresses by James' attention to detail and communication with me I totally recommend them. A great experience.

Jimmy promised to be at my apartment between 8 and 8:30am and he was there at 8:00am. He had two guys working with him and they did a great job moving everything out though I had a small elevator and was a few floors up. They broke down my furniture and reassembled them at the new house. His price was very competitive relative to my other quotes and the service was professional and then some.

Moving is not fun as we know from moving many times and the process takes over your life for days. But no movers have ever treated our furniture with as much care. Because we were sold on the company by Jim, the owner, we did not get another estimate, something I now regret. because I cannot honestly say if this was a good price or not. And Jim has a short fuse and his amiable back-slapping persona becomes a snarl when he is questioned. We were promised a certain manager would meet our trucks in Geogria for the unload but he was not sent. And thus the directions agreed to about how things would be unloaded into storage were not followed. Asked about that Jim had his biggest fit of several. He cares deeply about his Angie's list reviews and even even tried to make it a condition of doing further work for us that we give him a a good list review.

I did not have a good experience with this vendor and ultimately had to find a new mover the night before my move. I would not recommend this mover to anyone.

Super responsive, showed up precisely on time, very careful with items, willing to address concerns about fragiles, friendly workers, very fair in pricing, trustworthy, packed storage in very secure and organized manner/maximizing use of space, will certainly use again.

I found Jimmy on Angie's List and he had impeccable ratings, plus he was a local business for the future reference!! if our children needed a mover. His website was excellent and it was easy to input all info for an online estimate. We got a fast response and a great price. We booked the move and they scheduled us right in even with only 2 days notice. Jim, the owner kept I touch via email and phone. He and his workers showed up at our kid's home exactly on time, picked up our furniture and were unloading at our home in less than 2 hours. They set up the bed,unpacked the dresser(removing all the packing), and even helped move the old bed frame and a heavy TV down to the basement which was a huge help for me. The level of their skill, professionlism and courtesy was absolutely incredible and the whole move was finished quickly and perfectly. You could not hope for a better experience. I will absolutely use the again in the future, this time for a complicated double grand piano move that I know will be expert level. I would unhesitatingly recommend A Man with a) Van to my friends and relatives and give them my highest recommendation

Jimmy and his team were great!! He came to my house before the move and gave me a firm estimate--no surprises. His team ended up having some free time the day before and moved a good part of my stuff, so the move the next day was short and super-efficient. Not a scratch on anything, the movers were very polite, and they even managed to move out a huge sofa that my last movers had struggled with for an hour (and torn). Fantastic to work with!

Everything was great . They loaded our furniture on Friday and delivered it the next day so that I would not miss my dialysis treatment. Saturday they arrived just when they said they would. To sum it up we couldn't have had a better moving company. Thanks Jimmy!

I called the day before the move and the man with whom I spoke was very helpful about getting the job done at a time when I could do it. He said two men would arrive between 8:00-8:30 a.m. and indeed they did. They had plastic wrap and large cloths to wrap the couch, and they did the job extremely well from start to finish. I thought the price was a bit on the high side for moving just one couch, but on I can't in all fairness complain because they really did do a very nice job across the board.

After deciding not to hire Mr. Consaga for my move he became rude and unprofessional. While his high ratings on Angie's List would have led me to recommend him to others for consideration in the future his final emails to me completely eliminated that possibility. Mr. Consaga offered an price for a move that involved storage and 2 pick up points that was slightly higher than others who gave me estimates. The original estimate he gave was $1800 to move our items into a storage facility in Westchester, NY ($1500 for the first pick up from Bronx, NY & an additional $300 for additional pick up in Queens, NY), and $1200 for moving our things from storage to our new home in New Rochelle, NY. After I explained that the his price and the cost of the storage facility he'd suggested were somewhat high, he offered to discount the second move to $1000. He also arranged for his contact at the storage facility to give us a discounted price (2 months for the price of one). While I did reserve a storage unit, I made it clear to Mr. Consaga and to the customer representative at the storage facility that I was only doing so to hold the spot, and that I was still getting estimates. Throughout the entire process of negotiating price, Mr. Consaga was responsive and was working to give me the best deal he could. Although I explained to Mr. Consaga in two separate emails that I was still in the process of making a decision, his reaction to the news that I had decided to go with another company was shockingly unprofessional! Mr. Consaga's response to me was "That's not very professional as I'm the one who lowered the price and got westys to give a deal." When I replied reminding him that I had made it clear that we had not made a decision to go with him and that we were still getting estimates, he responded "ive heard it all, dosnt surprise me" The email exchanges are copied below and speak for themselves. I should note that my interactions with other moving professionals have been nothing but cordial, and they were gracious when I informed them that I was going with another company. Of course, I completely understand that my circumstance involves two moves (not including the Queens trip), and you are a professional with a crew to pay and a truck to maintain, etc. You came very highly recommended through Angie's List, but as educators with three small children, we're on tight budget. We're trying to figure out how to get the best service while staying within our means. I will absolutely keep in mind that I need to make a decision relatively soon and advise you either way. Just communicated via phone and email -- but was impressed by the owner and grateful for a recommendation he provided.

I was very impressed from the beginning when Jim came to give me an estimate on the moving costs. He arrived the same day I called the office, a few hours later I had the estimate. He agreed to arrive a day earlier to start packing the boxes, which made me feel more comfortable.Everything went smooth, I never had such a good experience with a moving company! I highly recommend James and his crew without a doubt.

I was extremely impressed with Jimmy and his crew. From the get go, Jimmy provided me with a flat rate quote. I had had a very bad experience with a company in my last move, "Kaster Movers", where they had given me an estimate and then slammed me on moving day with a bill that was 35% over and above the quote so I was gun shy about movers and knowing that I was being given a flat rate was essential and very reassuring. Not only did the guys arrive on time and ready to work, but Jimmy sent a truck a day early, loaded it up and left it in my driveway in to make sure that the move the next day went smoothly and did not run too long! What a genius idea! On moving day, they were quick, professional and I was done and in my new house by afternoon! Throughout everything, all of the guys were pleasant to deal with (again, this was not what I had experienced in the past) and the entire move was accomplished with no stress! I highly recommend Jimmy and I will definitely use him again in the future.

Jimmy is the main guy. They were really good movers. They did everything quickly and fast. They were pretty good and didn't need any improvement.

They arrived on time. They checked our furniture for bangs and scratches and discussed them with us so that there would be no confusion as to whether or not they had damaged the items. They then carefully moved all the furniture. At our house they followed all our instructions as to the placement of the furniture. We were very pleased with the results and with the politeness and efficiency of these movers.

From the start, the owner of the company took a personal interest in the items we were planning to move. After a number of consultations, the truck arrived for the move. Each and every item we needed to be moved was treated as unique. They took the time to examine each item, wrap it, and handle it professionally, Once the truck arrived at the new destination, the same care was given to the furniture, art, and antiques. We have moved before, but have never experienced this level of professionalism.

I could not have asked for a more positive experience. My move date had to be changed because of the October Nor'easter and Jim did everything possible to accommodate my needs. He & his crew showed up at the time I was told they would. The move took 5 hours from start to finish. My last move took about 13 hours. From start to finish, they did a great, professional job with a wonderful attitude. The guys who did the actual move were wonderful! I hope that I will never have to move again, but if and when I do, I will be sure to use them again.

Could not have gone better or smoother. The guys knew what they needed to do from their boss, who is a pro. They were there to work, to get the job done and done right with a smile on their faces. The move was flawless. Who could predict that we would have a major snow storm in October? I contatcted Jimmy the day before the move because I was concerned about this, in bad weather. He was already one step ahead of me, and asked if instead of starting my move at 1pm, he asked if he could do the move at 7:30am instead? I welcomed this with open arms. His 2 men, Chris and Ernesto arrived a few minutes early, and tirelessly, and effortlessly had me moved out, and into my new location half an hour or so away before the first flakes stuck to the ground. I was more then pleased to have had this done so that it was convenient for me. Thank you sooooo much!!!!

Jimmy and his crew were fantastic. By far the best moving experience I have ever had. From the estimate to the end of the move...they were professional and extremely helpful. They were on time ( even EARLY actually) and took wonderful care of our things. Not one thing was damaged in the move. He was even able get me recycled boxes several weeks in advance at no additonal charge. We had more boxes than expected and Jimmy was a man of his word for the price he had quoted me. His team worked extremely hard, even when a freak October snowstorm came rolling into the area. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is moving,

Superlative service; I highly recommend Jimmy and his company! They were very professional, efficient and pleasant to work with. Jimmy was extremely responsive and gave me an estimate within 24 hours of contacting him. On the day of the move and haul out, Jimmy and his crew arrived on time, were wonderful to work with and completed the work quickly. They started at 8 AM; and by 12:30 PM, both jobs were completed. I was very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely call on him in the future. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed.

Price was excellent, employees proficient and polite. No problems in the move. Some confusion as to calling the night before to get clothing bags, but problem solved. Definitely would recommend.

Responsiveness was great. I called about 4 days before I needed to move my Mother, who is downsizing. I had an estimate within an hour or so and was able to secure the date I wanted. I had some old mattress to haul away and quite a bit of china to pack. Three guys came with one guy packing the china for most of the loading time (2 1/2 hours). They all unloaded in about 1 1/2 hours. Everything went very smoothly, and when we realized that there was more we wanted hauled away, we got a quote on the spot and added that to our bill. Otherwise the estimate was exactly what we paid! No hassles as all. Very pleased. I haven't unpacked the china yet, but hope and trust that all is in good order.

Our move was an absolutely painless process from the beginning. I called several different movers, and Jimmy was the only one who called me back; which turned out to be a lucky thing for me. I was able to schedule the move with just a couple of days notice, which was a tremendous help. Jimmy called the day before the move to confirm the time. This is a great moving company! I contacted them about two weeks before my move and got prompt and professional responses to all my questions/concerns. The house we were moving from had a VERY narrow and twisty staircase from the 3rd to the second floor and the two gentleman who moved us did not seem to even notice. Even when they had to take a king size mattress down this miserable staircase. Very, very professional. They were on time, courteous, and took great care with our belongings.
