The crew that came to move two large pieces from my mom's to my sister's house were wonderful. Both items were very heavy and the crew acted as if they were no bother at all. Really great experience and recommend Man with a Van and More for your move.

What a great job Jimmy and his crew did. I had interviewed another company (who I had found on Angie's List, BTW) before I called Jimmy. I'd asked for the estimator to not only come to our move out location, but then to drive to the move in location to see some rather tricky issues that property presented (antique steps, very small doorways, multiple entrances and a small driveway. The first company's estimator refused to go to the second location. He refused to consider taking the feet off my sofa (so it could get thru a doorway) but suggested taking the legs off a priceless antique table! I told him we didn't need his services, thank you. But Jimmy wasn't bothered by having to go to another location, and immediately recognized why seeing that property would help him make an accurate estimate. He also promised to take some furniture we didn't need anymore and donate it to charity. I'm the kind of client that a moving company must hate -- for all the above reasons, but also cuz I kept changing the move date. Jimmy wasn't fazed. He gave me a fabulous quote (seriously, I couldn't believe it) and stuck with it. The crew who showed up couldn't have been nicer, more professional , more prompt, or more understanding about all the challenges. They solved some big problems, were creative and helpful and were great at taking things apart and re-assembling them properly. I recommend Man With A Van and More whole-heatedly. I don't much like moving, but these guys made the entire process bearable and almost enjoyable.

I'm in a panic. Had gotten Jimmy's name from Angie's list and called him. I guess he heard the panic in my voice and assured me he would work things out. We met the next day, he looked over everything, arranged to move my furniture, dispose of the junk, and donate the usable items. On Monday, he had a crew take care of the move and I couldn't be happier. Every time he said he would call he did and was VERY PROMPT when we met and with the move. Talk about one-stop shopping. I wouldn't use anyone else!

They disassembled some large objects to move out of my basement. They were punctual, professional, and I was very satisfied with the work.

The experience was very positive. They were very quick in providing an estimate for the move and arrived promptly for work as promised. They took care in packing items and were very positive in their approach to all aspects of the move. All the work was done very quickly and efficiently. They took care to see that everything was set up and in the appropriate place before they left. Although one mirror was broken in the course of the move, they paid us to replace the damaged item on the spot.

Very simply let Jimmy do your move and stop worrying. This was the first move that I ever did and I was so nervous. AND I needed to move on a RUSH basis and I had no time to do 'how to' research. I went on Angie's list, called up 3 movers that had good reviews and each told me they needed 7 to 14 days between load and delivery. I was in shock and started panicking. I called Jimmy's company who also had great reviews and he said 3 days and I said Yes and of course kept being a nervous wreck since this was unknown territory. Then that February blizzard announced itself and Jimmy called to say that the blizzard may push back the date. I said ...no way. Then the blizzard arrived and what a mess. Jimmy called and said... He was shoveling himself out, some of his guys were snowed in and he really needed to push out the date. I said Nope, I really could not change that date and explained why. Well....not only did Jimmy manage to stay on schedule but everything from beginning to end went perfectly with the move. In New York he sent a crew of three that packed everything and were courteous and polite and professional. After they left, they switched to another crew of two to drive to Florida and Jimmy gave me the name and phone number of the driver so I could stay in touch. They arrived ON TIME, unpacked all the furniture and placed them where I indicated. I unpacked as many boxes with lamps and big items as I could and they took all the boxes and wrapping paper away. There was not one broken item. I truly never thought that a move could be executed so well. He really has good people working for him So this is what I 'learned' from my experience. -Do known exactly where your big pieces are going so you don't need to move them twice...rug and all. Get it right the first time. -Unless you have enough furniture to fill one of those gigantic rucks you see on the road, your stuff will stay on the truck while they fill it with other client's stuff which is why a move that should take 3 days would take 3 times longer, unless of course you use Jimmy that gets a truck with a size that is suitable for your move and it gets on the road with no delay. - and having the phone number of they guy with all of our possessions will allow you to sleep at night. -and be careful, there are a lot of copy cat Man With Van. log on from Angie's List Good luck with your move. Jimmy brought a crew of two professional and courteous movers. They were patient (dealing with construction at the storage unit which blocked our way around), punctual, efficient, and able to clear out our storage unit quickly and move it to our house. They were sure to point out damages prior to loading the items onto the truck (which I appreciate since my memory isn't quite up to speed). The flexibility provided by this company is unparalleled in how quickly Jimmy was able to give an estimate and perform the services. I would use these guys again and suggest if you care about your goods, you use them too!!! Thanks for a great move, Jimmy & crew!

The moving crew (3) showed up on time and were very efficient and professional. Everything got loaded quickly, transported safely and unloaded correctly. There were no problems and no damage of any kind. The crew was friendly and very easy to work with. This is a well organized, experienced moving company.

Jimmy arrived on time with 2 very nice movers. They moved my items out quickly and without damaging anything. One table already had some scrapes and such, and one of the movers took a photo to show me that it was already like that. Very professional. When I started to move something to the door by myself, one of the movers insisted I let them do it. Again, very professional. Moving the items into my new home (35 minutes away) also went without problems and the men put everything where it belonged. Ordinarily, I'd feel that the $600 fee was high since it took under 2 hours (from 8 a.m., all finished by 9:45) but I know that reputable companies have minimum charges. Not to mention, you get what you pay for: professionalism, nice people, efficiency. I'd use this company again.

I contacted Jimmy a few weeks back and his crew did a great job boxing up and moving over 100 boxes to a storage facility. See my previous review of the hoarding cleanup. I mentioned that I would still need a cleaning crew to come in and take care of the deep clean. Jimmy said his company did that too! Arthur and the guys arrived on time per usual and set out to get the remaining junk hauled and house cleaned. They went above and beyond my expectations by mopping, moving furniture to vacuum, disinfecting kitchen and bath, dusting every surface they could and putting everything back in place, only better. I can not believe the house now. It absolutely sparkles! You could eat off the floor! Thanks again, Jimmy, Arthur and the rest of your amazing staff.

Jimmy and his team did a great job helping my family with our in-town move. From my initial request for an estimate to a follow up check-in after the move, their communication and customer service was excellent: courteous, punctual, and professional. The team showed up on time the day of the move, treated our home and furniture as if it were their own, worked very efficiently, and were very courteous to my familiy and me. They took time to show us any preexisting defects in our furniture so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings after the move. Furniture was removed and put in our new home with great care taken not to scuff floors, walls, etc. I would definitely use these guys again.

We discovered upon a recent visit that my elderly mother is a hoarder. She's currently in the hospital but will be discharged soon and I needed to get her home cleared out before then. There was so much stuff that she nor her caregivers would be able to move about. I was horrified to find such disorder and I just didn't know what to do! My first contact with Jimmy was delightful --- this was just what I needed facing this awful situation. Jimmy told me this was not the first time he had encountered this sort of thing. He quickly set up a time for an estimate and assured me he and his crew could do the job. Arthur his colleague arrived on time for the estimate, gave me a quote on the spot, recommended the right size storage unit for me to rent and scheduled the packing and moving for the next day. Arthur and his very nice crew arrived on time and prepared. They quickly put as many items into boxes and loaded them into their van. They moved all the boxes into the storage unit I rented the day before. where the crew would move all the boxes. The crew was finished in a few hours! Between my mom's hospitalization and the daunting task of getting her house back to a livable state, I was an emotional wreck! Oh, and did I t mention I live 6 hours away? Jimmy and his crew really gave me piece of mind throughout this very arduous process. I would highly recommend them for their efficiency and compassion. They did an outstanding job.

From the first meeting and estimate to the final piece placed carefully inside our new home, Jimmy and Man with a Van and More were exceptionally good. This was our 7th move over 35 years, and we have never had such a pleasant experience. The crew was incredibly helpful and efficient. The weather was terrible, the roads curvy and icy, the stairs steep ---- and yet, these guys did it all cheerfully. I cannot say enough about them. I have never felt so strongly about a business before. HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Moving can be an extremely stressful time and having movers who help ease that stress is amazing!!! Not only was the crew extremely professional and thorough but they were also very cordial and had a great sense of hurmor! We were a bit behind schedule with our packing when they arrived but they helped us get everything together and out the door quickly and efficiently. I was amazed at how fast they were! I couldn't pack boxes fast enough! I also had some very delicate electronics, artwork, and instruments that they helped make sure were safe for their journey. I was reassured by the workers that my belongings would be treated as if they were their own and not to worry which relieved a lot of stress. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend their service.

Jimmy is super punctual and organized. His workers are fantastic. Jimmy is very passionate about what he does so it drives him around the bend when someone doesn't appreciate his work. He really will go over the top to make things easy. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend him. He and his workers are very careful with all the furniture and will point out any scratches or broken pieces in advance so there are no issues later. He really takes great pride in his reviews on Angie's List.

I am not going to write a lot here except to say USE THESE GUYS!!!! Their A rating by so many Angies list customers is not an accident! I will definitely use them again! They are incredibly professional. They respond very quickly via email and will talk over any issues on the phone.Their online system is very easy to use and allows you to get an estimate the same day as opposed to having to wait for (and pay for) an estimator. The flat rates have no hidden fees and are very competitive. They arrive on time and work quickly but very carefully. They are friendly and responsive. We were supposed to move tomorrow in one day but because of the huge impending blizzard Jimmy quickly re arranged the pickup yesterday and was in good phone contact about arrival time. The furniture was packed very carefully and with great economy of space. Jimmy kept the furniture overnight under lock, key and camera and delivered it this morning to NJ as promised at 8:00. The furniture was carefully unloaded, unwrapped and placed in the correct spots within the time he predicted. Great guys! Great company! Go Jimmy!

THE MEN CAME ON TIME ON DATE SPECIFIED AND DID A GREAT JOB AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS.. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM AND WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

This is the second time I used Jimmy within the last two months. The first time, he and his crew moved my dad out of his apartment and put his items in storage. This time they moved items from storage into his new place. The move was flawless, Jimmy was at the storage site even before I was, and he had a terrific crew. His guys were extremely professional, did a clean job and helped us place and set up televisions, beds, table and the like. Jimmy is now my go to guy for all moving needs, and I would, again, recommend him to anyone.

My wife and I moved from NYC to Westchester and had a positive experience with A Man With a Van. We received a prompt response after submitting an inventory list through their website. We received a quote and scheduled the move date/time. Three individuals came over the day of the move. They arrived 20 minutes late due to traffic, but my wife and I also ran into the same traffic issues later that day. All three people were quick and took care of our items. The quote we received was the exact amount paid... plus tip for a solid experience during the actual move. I would recommend A Man With a Van without reservation.

It snowed AND rained throughout the day of our move. Despite the bad weather, the move went very smoothly. Our moving team was highly efficient and well-organized, and also took care to protect our belongings from the elements. The job was more complicated because our belongings were being split between our new residence and a storage location. The team lead was very patient and supportive during the "decision-making process" of what went to which location. We highly recommend this moving company!

I do not write reviews, but I feel so strongly about the amazing level of service and support received from Jimmy and his team that I wanted to describe the experience. We had a very complicated move. It required moving in several stages, due to remodeling, snow storms, and my changing work schedule. I have moved many times, twice cross country, not once did the movers match the level of professionalism demonstrated by these guys. Their packing was careful, efficient, and effective. The labeling was so accurate that everything wound up where it was supposed to, which if you have moved, you know is extraordinary. They went out of their way to make sure nothing scratched the wood floors . They had to take several things apart and put them back together and they have one person quite skilled designated for this work. They took pictures of each item, then bagged, marked, and attached all hardware, keeping things simple. The reassembly went without a hitch. Jimmy and his crew kept focused on providing an exceptional experience and kept there sense of humor throughout.. They had to keep moving the truck as the street access was so limited. On the day they were picking up the outside stuff for the trash haul it was raining/sleeting on them for three hours straight. At one point the construction workers inadvertently painted the stair bannister and the guys had to carry heavy items up the stairs avoiding the wet paint! I just had them come back and move everything out of the garage for additional construction. I was genuinely glad to see them, as the time spent during the move was such a great experience.
