Everything about my experience with A Man and a Van was first rate. All of the prior Angie's List reviews were accurate. They are the best mover I've ever used and I will definitely use them again as well as recommend them to anyone who asks for a referral.

Everything went extremely well. The first thing that I found was that when Jimmy Consaga says he or his men will be at your house at a specific time, they arrive as promised. Jimmy sent in a crew of men who packed our belongings so well that virtually everything arrived in tip-top condition. We had enough stuff that it took two days to pack but when it was over the truck was ready to go. The packing took place on May 7-8, 2013. We flew out to New Mexico on the 9th. Jimmy sent two men to New Mexico to unpack the truck. They and the truck arrived on Monday, May 13, as promised. We were thrilled at this expeditious service as we had little or no furniture in our house until the unloading of our household goods occurred. The two men who did the unloading were astonishingly pleasant, patient, and helpful and worked unceasingly for at least 10 hours. I've never seen anything like it. If we changed our mind about the location of an item in our new house, Jimmy's workers gladly and without hesitation moved the object to wherever we wanted it to go. I can't say more about A Man With A Van and More. Jimmy Consaga promised excellent service at relatively low cost and he delivered. I'd use his services again without hesitation.

Everything about this company is first-rate. honestly - they're excellent. We filled out their online estimate form. The owner, Jimmy, responded immediately. I contacted him to ask for some flexibility on the estimate because we were going to try to move some items ourselves. He said he'd need to take a look at our place and came over that day, to review everything with us. Then he basically said, "if you move X amount it'll cost you this much. If you move double X amount, it'll cost you double." Sounds fair: a low and a high estimate. Nothing special about that, right? Except that Jimmy also offered to lend us a small moving truck for free if we wanted to move some of the stuff ourselves. The only condition was that we pick up and drop off the truck and pay for the gas we used. It was a very generous offer. So we scheduled the move for the beginning of the month. A week before the scheduled date we learned we could gain access to our new home earlier than anticipated. We asked Jimmy if he could change our date and move us a couple of days earlier. With 2 young kids and a grandmother in the family - the change in timing would be very helpful. He asked for some time to see if he could work out the details. A few hours later, he agreed to the change. On moving day, the 5 man crew led by Dave, arrived on time and worked like clock-work. They were excellent: fast, efficient, professional, friendly, polite and super careful and helpful - above and beyond. Jimmy showed up mid-move to check on everything and see if we needed anything. This company has the formula for success in any business down - they work really hard, offer excellent customer service by everyone, start to finish, and charge a very fair price - in our case, the low estimate, to the dollar.

I live in Boston and have an aging relative in Somers, NY who needed to have a hospital bed moved into her home ASAP. I found out about the move on a Thursday night, and to complicate things further, the medical supply company providing the bed could not remove the old bed due to liability issues. Things needed to be timed so that the old bed was removed the same day as the new bed was to be delivered, and I emailed A Man With A Van and More, Inc. later that evening, and before I turned in for the night, I had received a reply with a price quote and possible times they could move the bed. The medical supply company ended up pushing the delivery to the next day at the last minute, but Jimmy from A Man With a Van was completely flexible and professional and was able to go out to my relative's home Saturday morning and have everything done by 9:00. The folks at A Man With a Van were flexible, punctual, and professional and I would recommend them highly.

I contacted AMWAV because of it's high rank on Angie's List. I liked the online estimating tool and decided to book because the cost was competitive and I feel confident when I see good ratings on Angie's List. The driver and a crew of four arrived about 9:30 and had emptied the contents of a really full one bedroom apartment by noon. I had tagged the goods to help sort on arrival. Two of the large pieces wouldn't go up my narrow staircase (no fault of the movers) but otherwise things went very smoothly. They finished about 4 pm. They were very conscientious about how they stacked things in the basement and garage, and were especially careful to maximize all the space. Like most people, I dread moving day, but this crew was congenial, efficient and respectful of my needs. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

See above - everything went great - no problems, no hassles, no complaints. On time arriving, worked hard and fast (but carefully), always had a smile on their faces and went the extra mile for me with help cleaning up and setting up in the new location. You could tell that they had worked together for years, each person knew his role and executed it smoothly.

The crew who came to my home, did the packing of our specialty items, wrapped our furniture, packed boxes, loaded the truck, drove to FL, unloaded the truck, set up the furniture in my new house and delivered items to my storage space were WONDERFUL! They were careful, professional, super-fast, thorough, kept things clean, paid attention to details and were extremely hard working. They actually made the move a pleasant experience. NOTHING was broken or damaged, including the delicate electronics and antiques. I couldn't be happier with A Man With a Van and More. Thank you for a flawless move!

The first person I talked with was professional and responsive and had Jim call me back for details of the job. We exchanged several e-mails with all the details listed and for the quote. The moving team arrived on time and quickly and carefully moved all the furniture.

Moving is never fun. Especially moving a frail 89 year old woman. I wanted this move as stress free as possible. I choose A Man With A Van & More because of all of the excellent ratings on Angie's List. I noticed that many of the reviewers mentioned how responsive Jim Consaga is to calls and e-mails. That appealed to me right away. I contacted Jim and he called me back right away. He asked me for a list of items to be moved and told me he would e-mail me an estimate. This was not a large move - my mother-in-law had a studio apartment and we were talking about only a few pieces of furniture, her clothing and assorted other items. Once I e-mailed Jim the list, within a few minutes he e-mailed me the estimate. It seemed fair and my husband and I gave him a few dates that would work for us. We decided on May 2nd. Jim is extremely responsive. If you e-mail him expect an e-mail back within a few minutes. No matter how busy he is, he will respond immediately. Very few people do that. Jim takes his business very seriously and takes full responsibility for each and every move. He takes tremendous pride in his work and it shows. This is not a huge conglomerate that forgets about the customer once you are signed up. It is personalized service with an owner who stands behind each and every move. Very few businesses offer that type of service and when they do, they are worth their weight in gold. After the move, Jim called us up to find out if mother -in -law was okay and also to make sure we were happy with his crew. His crew are very professional, and had everything set up in her new residence like clockwork. They know what they are doing! A word of advice: Make sure you contact " A Man With A Van & More." That exact name. Some companies have very similar names but only Jim Consaga's company is named A Man With A Van & More. I would recommend and use Jim again in a heartbeat. This is a guy who really cares about his customers.

This was absolutely the most stress-free moving experience I have ever had (and I have moved about 15 times over the past 30+ years). The move was very complicated because my wife and I were consolidating two residences (her NY apt and my NJ town-home) into one, and also moving things into storage both from her apt and from the house. Proper labeling of all boxes was critical. Also, we had many delicate items (artwork, sculpture, lamps, crystal, etc.) to be packed. We did basically nothing in anticipation of the move. We left everything to the team from A Man With a Van & More, and they were terrific. They consulted with me and my wife when necessary and followed instructions precisely. The packing went very smoothly. The move-out went just as smoothly, and much faster than I had anticipated. The team was so careful, yet efficient. They made sure to go through the entire apt with me to verify that it was completely empty before heading off in the truck for NJ. The move-in was very complex, because we had to make some difficult decisions about where to put boxes and items in an already occupied home. The team was so patient and careful, and the precise labeling of the boxes is what made the task achievable. They also had to remove a bunch of stuff from my NJ house (washing machine, boxes, stereo equipment, etc.) and combine that in the truck with a bunch of furniture from the NY apt, all for storage. They stored all the items in the truck and took them to Westy storage in Chatham on Wednesday. I didn't even have to be present; they had worked everything out beforehand, so they just moved all our stuff into the storage, and I got the key in the mail the next day. I really cannot adequately express how spectacularly uneventful this entire process was. My wife keeps thanking me for doing such a great job arranging everything, but all I did was call Jimmy. He and his team literally took care of everything, from packing to unpacking. For the amount and quality of services we received, the price was more than reasonable. We absolutely will use Jimmy and A Man With a Van & More for our next move.

Our move was great!!.. The movers arrived on time. They carefully moved each piece of furniture. We have a glass shelf wall unit which they dismantled and wrapped each piece for the move. When they arrived at the new home, they unloaded each piece with the same care and attention to detail as when they were loading. They asked me on where each piece should be placed and patiently worked with me to find the best place for each piece in every room. I would absolutely recommend A Man with a Van and more.

I met Jimmy at the storage facility. I began talking to him about his services and asked him for his card. He was also recommended by that facility. Three months later I called him and he remembered who I was. Since he was familiar with the storage facility working out the estimate was so easy. We set up a date and since I couldn't be there we arranged that Jimmy would do all the loading without me. The next day his crew showed up and started to unload. They were professional, patient and very respectful for my belongings. It was the most pleasant moving experience I ever had. I would use this company again...even if it was an out of state move. You dont get the kind of reviews Jimmy gets unless you are very good....and he is.....

These guys rock! I called them because of the Angie's List reviews and I was not disappointed. I was quickly set up with an appointment for an estimate and was very impressed with the attitude of the owner. He was responsive to all communications and the crew showed up at the appointed time. I can not rave enough about the crew they sent me. These guys were fast, efficient, professional, courteous and some of the hardest working people I have come across! We had to make two trips because we used a smaller truck due to the size of the roads in my old neighborhood. It was service with a smile the whole time. They wrapped all furniture and took good care of our belongings. Before they left they verified that I was happy with the placement of all my furniture and asked if I wanted to move anything around. They cleaned up when done. I have to say, I was dreading moving day - but I was so impressed with the speed, attitude and comradery of the crew that I found myself giddy with relief. I highly recommend them. Their price was reasonable as well. I did get one price quote for less, but stuck with them because of the reviews and my gut instinct. I was not disappointed.

They were absolutely fantastic. They did a wonderful job. They came prepared to make sure the device was secured; they came with a large industrial role of saran wrap. They got it downstairs without scratching any of the walls. The people buying it also were happy with the delivery. The price was fair and they were professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

A Man With A Van and More is the ONLY company you should call for your moving needs. I needed my attic cleared out and other furniture moved to storage to stage my house to sell. I decided to call this company because of the reviews on Angie's List and I am so pleased that I did. Jimmy responded immediately, realized my situation and the move happened the NEXT day. How's that for service! His crew kept me informed of their location and arrived exactly when they were supposed. All four men were professional and took great care in moving everything out of the house and into the storage units. They treated not just the furniture with care, but my walls, stairs, doorways etc with care. I could easily go on and on with the positives of this move but the bottom line is---this company is EXCELLENT. I will be using them again when my house sells and I move to Florida. I look forward to it.

The crew that came to move two large pieces from my mom's to my sister's house were wonderful. Both items were very heavy and the crew acted as if they were no bother at all. Really great experience and recommend Man with a Van and More for your move.

What a great job Jimmy and his crew did. I had interviewed another company (who I had found on Angie's List, BTW) before I called Jimmy. I'd asked for the estimator to not only come to our move out location, but then to drive to the move in location to see some rather tricky issues that property presented (antique steps, very small doorways, multiple entrances and a small driveway. The first company's estimator refused to go to the second location. He refused to consider taking the feet off my sofa (so it could get thru a doorway) but suggested taking the legs off a priceless antique table! I told him we didn't need his services, thank you. But Jimmy wasn't bothered by having to go to another location, and immediately recognized why seeing that property would help him make an accurate estimate. He also promised to take some furniture we didn't need anymore and donate it to charity. I'm the kind of client that a moving company must hate -- for all the above reasons, but also cuz I kept changing the move date. Jimmy wasn't fazed. He gave me a fabulous quote (seriously, I couldn't believe it) and stuck with it. The crew who showed up couldn't have been nicer, more professional , more prompt, or more understanding about all the challenges. They solved some big problems, were creative and helpful and were great at taking things apart and re-assembling them properly. I recommend Man With A Van and More whole-heatedly. I don't much like moving, but these guys made the entire process bearable and almost enjoyable.

I'm in a panic. Had gotten Jimmy's name from Angie's list and called him. I guess he heard the panic in my voice and assured me he would work things out. We met the next day, he looked over everything, arranged to move my furniture, dispose of the junk, and donate the usable items. On Monday, he had a crew take care of the move and I couldn't be happier. Every time he said he would call he did and was VERY PROMPT when we met and with the move. Talk about one-stop shopping. I wouldn't use anyone else!

They disassembled some large objects to move out of my basement. They were punctual, professional, and I was very satisfied with the work.

The experience was very positive. They were very quick in providing an estimate for the move and arrived promptly for work as promised. They took care in packing items and were very positive in their approach to all aspects of the move. All the work was done very quickly and efficiently. They took care to see that everything was set up and in the appropriate place before they left. Although one mirror was broken in the course of the move, they paid us to replace the damaged item on the spot.

Very simply let Jimmy do your move and stop worrying. This was the first move that I ever did and I was so nervous. AND I needed to move on a RUSH basis and I had no time to do 'how to' research. I went on Angie's list, called up 3 movers that had good reviews and each told me they needed 7 to 14 days between load and delivery. I was in shock and started panicking. I called Jimmy's company who also had great reviews and he said 3 days and I said Yes and of course kept being a nervous wreck since this was unknown territory. Then that February blizzard announced itself and Jimmy called to say that the blizzard may push back the date. I said ...no way. Then the blizzard arrived and what a mess. Jimmy called and said... He was shoveling himself out, some of his guys were snowed in and he really needed to push out the date. I said Nope, I really could not change that date and explained why. Well....not only did Jimmy manage to stay on schedule but everything from beginning to end went perfectly with the move. In New York he sent a crew of three that packed everything and were courteous and polite and professional. After they left, they switched to another crew of two to drive to Florida and Jimmy gave me the name and phone number of the driver so I could stay in touch. They arrived ON TIME, unpacked all the furniture and placed them where I indicated. I unpacked as many boxes with lamps and big items as I could and they took all the boxes and wrapping paper away. There was not one broken item. I truly never thought that a move could be executed so well. He really has good people working for him So this is what I 'learned' from my experience. -Do known exactly where your big pieces are going so you don't need to move them twice...rug and all. Get it right the first time. -Unless you have enough furniture to fill one of those gigantic rucks you see on the road, your stuff will stay on the truck while they fill it with other client's stuff which is why a move that should take 3 days would take 3 times longer, unless of course you use Jimmy that gets a truck with a size that is suitable for your move and it gets on the road with no delay. - and having the phone number of they guy with all of our possessions will allow you to sleep at night. -and be careful, there are a lot of copy cat Man With Van. log on from Angie's List Good luck with your move.
