My wife was 5 months pregnant and I had just had shoulder surgery, so we were both useless. Jimmy's team packed up our entire house, which was bursting at the seams, as well as a 10x15 storage unit that was similarly filled to capacity, and moved us into our new 9-bedroom home. This was a very complex job, involving the dismantling and reassembly of numerous, large pieces of furniture, lots of fragile electronics and artwork, very heavy and bulky gym equipment, appliances large and small, etc. The new home has 4 floors and is on a very old and narrow street inaccessible to a large moving truck. So they had to make many trips with their smaller truck, and everything had to be carried up or down numerous flights of stairs. It really was a huge job, but everything came off without a hitch. I give A Man With A Van & More my highest recommendation.

Very punctual. Four men loaded the two pods. All were friendly, courteous, and professional. Took great care with my mother's items. Would recommend and use them again. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

They were wonderful. They were extremely professional and very organized. They took care of our ftrniture as if it was their own. They were prompt and efficient. I did not have an actual moving experience with this company. I can recommend them based on the timeliness and professionalism of their response to our inquiry. I can also recommend them based on the fact that their cost estimate was competitive.

A Man with a Van and More was a great company to work with. I had a 2 stop move and they had a good plan in order to insure all went smoothly. They were on time, reliable, efficient and overall easy to work with. Very trusty and I highly recommend.

The mover showed up just before 9 am at the first location- my aunt's house (where the furniture was) and left my house around 12 noon, after moving the furniture into my house. I kept track of the time just in case the mover would try to charge me for extra time. All together it was about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour job. My aunt knew that the movers were arriving that morning and had removed most of her belongs out of the desk, but did miss a couple drawers. Jimmy, the owner of the company, was visibly cranky and complained about the drawers not entirely empty. My aunt cleaned out the remaining drawers while jimmy and his crew of two proceeded to work on the other furniture. My aunt and uncle are older and were not able to move heavy items, but they did the best they could. There was a rug that was coming to our house, but on it was a table (that was not coming to out house) and it would have been impossible for an elderly couple (one of which was hospitalized several times) to move. More complaining by the mover. By then, i receive a call from my aunt who was exasperated at the negative comments that jimmy had made to her, and under his breath. Really, this was not a difficult or complicated job, as the mover had made it out to be. My aunt commented that the two workers, who did most of the work, were always professional and occasionally smiled. Jimmy, on the other hand, was as cold as ice. The moving van arrived at my house and I could see what my aunt was talking about. Jimmy was here to do his job, and that did not include any pleasantries. I made a measurement error with the desk and unfortunately the two workers who moved it upstairs couldn't get it through the bedroom door. I was very apologetic to the two workers. Despite the inconvenience of lugging this desk back downstairs, i never heard a single complaint from the workers. Moving the sofa was straightforward and I asked the rug to be left in the foyer. I had previously asked jimmy for an estimate to move 3-4 tall and unusual Pepsi bottles from my aunt's house, but after getting a quote of $150, I decided that the price was a lot more than I expected. Since my husband was going to his aunt's house the next week anyways --I declined. In order to be fair about the situation, after the move was completed, I emailed jimmy to tell him how disappointed I was with the way my aunt and uncle were treated. Not only are they going through a stressful time in their life--downsizing and moving out of a house that they have been in for over 30 years, but add to that an unforgiving attitude by the owner of the company. Surprisingly, Jimmy emailed me back to say that he had no idea what I was referring to! He continued to write that he himself was in a lot of pain because he was ill. I was very sorry that he was suffering. He wrote, "that was the face of pain you saw" and gave further details of his grief. Since his attitude and words were the only evidence of the type of person they were dealing with, my family's response was understandable. Nevertheless, I hope he gets better soon. Note: there was a previous review posted under my name that was dictated to an Angie's list representative, but because of numerous errors in the story, I have resubmitted a review actually written by me.

We researched several options for our move from New York to Florida, and decided to do a combination of a rental truck and 3 cubes. We would do all of our box packing, and wanted someone else to load. That was when we joined Angie's List, and am so glad I did. I contacted more than one company, but A Man with a Van and More (movinganywhere.com) was THE one for me. I spoke, emailed and texted with Jimmy, the owner, who was very helpful helping me figure out what size truck we needed. He would send out 4 "loaders" for $1200, who would be there at 8am on moving day. They showed up promptly at 8am, and to put it mildly, we weren't ready. We had downsized the truck from 22' to 16' at 7am that morning, and it wouldn't be available for pick up at Home Depot until almost 9. We really needed the bigger truck, but once we saw it we weren't comfortable driving what we felt was HUGE. The cubes were to arrive between 8 and 9, and came at 9:30. In addition, we hadn't finished packing our boxes. We thought we were going to drive to Florida, fly right back up to NY and rent another truck - ugh. The men started disassembling beds, wrapping furniture, staging stuff on the front porch. They were hard-working and fast, and the porch was loaded to the gills by the time the truck/cubes arrived. We were discouraged when we saw how small the cubes and truck looked compared to all of our "stuff". What happened next was absolutely amazing. The way they used every square inch of space in those cubes, fitting boxes and belongings in like puzzle pieces was mind-boggling. Around lunch-time we were told that they thought they could make everything fit. We don't know how they did it, but they got every last thing to fit - unbelievable. It took until 3pm, longer than anticipated, so the price went from $1200-$1500, which we felt was fair. They made the absolute best of a tough situation, and we were grateful. Thank you Guys!

Jimmy and his guys were FANTASTIC!!!!! We had a very difficult move -- two working adults, with a huge clutter problem (I mean HUGE). Jimmy and his guys came in and set to work: they were focused, professional, and fast. Best of all, they maintained a good sense of humor throughout. Jimmy is a great boss, with a positive attitude, and treats his guys like family. He has built a team that works well together, and knows how to put the customer first. These guys would have done anything if I asked them! I chose this provider because of the positive reviews on Angie's List, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I will definitely use Man with a Van (and More) again, for any job large or small, knowing how terrific they are, and how well they treat their customers!

Everything went very smoothly. Jimmy & his crew arrived on time, wrapped and packed the furniture/items quickly, carefully, and professionally, and unloaded and unwrapped same items at storage destination.

Service from Man with a Van was fantastic. Jimmy C came out to provide an estimate. He arrived on time along with his team leader (Davey) who would actually do the move. He asked good questions and provided help in determining the cost of the packing & moving. He was clear that the estimate included potentially 4 days of work for packing, loading, delivery, and unloading. I asked if there were any hidden charges and Jimmy promised there would be none. I signed a contract and provided a 50% deposit. On the first day of the packing, the Fab 5 team (5 people, including the team leader I met at the estimate) showed up on time with good materials for boxing, padding, stretch wrapping and packing. They worked extremely quickly and efficiently and were able to finish packing earlier than expected. As a result, they were able to load and deliver a full truckload by the end of Day 2. They use a 17 foot truck that is good for navigating small, tight, CT roads. On Day 3, they finished the last bit of packing and delivered everything. During the move, they disassembled, moved and reassembled my piano expertly and carefully using a proper piano board. They also created a wooden mini-pallet to move some delicate stereo equipment that was on a not-so-sturdy rack. Everything went exceptionally well. All boxes were properly padded and packed. Nothing broke...not even a glass. The team arrived on time each day and worked very quickly through the move. I felt like the service levels were top notch. They cleaned up all materials and bagged all trash. Given that the job required 3 days versus the estimate of 4 days, Jimmy made a price adjustment that reflected the reduced number of days. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of the entire team and I would definitely use the company again and recommend Man with a Van with no reservations.

They do what they say they will do and do it well. They arrive on time as agreed and move very quickly and professionally. They do frequent checks if there is any question about the location or destination of an object. Did a very good and careful job wrapping and moving art works. china, glass, etc. Nothing was damaged and there was no damage to walls or woodwork in either house. Jimmy, the owner, made frequent personal visits to the CT. house to make sure all was under control. Jimmy is so committed to customer service he can get a little intense. Dave, who led the packing/moving crew on both ends, has an incredible memory for where things came from or go. He always has a smile and is very professional. The entire crew is friendly and careful and move very quickly. They seem to enjoy working together. They are very responsive to any request. Overall, this was a very good experience and I would recommend them to others.

I don't usually write reviews, however the disparity in service we received with this firm over others in the local area and the fact they are so highly rated on Angies List which made us choose them initially, lead to my providing feedback. To be clear, we have not used them as movers, we didn't based on our experience dealing with them for a quote. What is disappointing is that they only provided a quote on email and noone followed up after they sent the inital email. Other providers in the area came to our home to do a proper assessment of what we were moving before giving us a quote. Both other firms-Lynx and McAvey moving could not have been more accommodating and both came in with quotes very close to eachother. The only difference being that one offered more movers on the day and as we wanted to be moved in quickly we opted for one over the other. A Man with a Van had poor customer service and poor follow up. Having had nightmare experiences with movers in the past (we have moved several times domestically and internationally), if you don't have a good experience at the outset it does not bode well for their delivery on the day. It was very disappointing, especially given the reviews on Angies List. We are sharing this experience only to let buyers know there are other full service options out there who are amazing from start to finish.

.Kudos to Jimmy and his team - the 'Dream Team" in my opinion. Punctual, efficient ,professional, accommodating across the board - there aren't enough superlatives for their performance. The Team made a a very stressful day pleasant. In my opinion there is only 1 mover - Jimmy Consaga and his crew.. I checked out 2 other movers in White Plains (Al's & Shleppers) but their business practices left a lot to be desired.. I couldn't be more pleased with a Team that did everything to accommodate my needs. Initially I thought it was pricey but the move was worth every penny! Thank you Angie's List for bringing A Man With A Van And More to my attention.

We had an excellent moving experience. Jimmy's 5-person crew, led by David, was quick, punctual, efficient, and highly professional. They were very careful with all of our possessions and took great pains to not scuff or dent the walls of the building on the way out (we were moving out of a co-op apartment, and if you know anything about co-op buildings they can be very fussy about common areas, so this alleviated many potential headaches). When they pulled up to our house in CT and realized they wouldn't be able to pull the truck all the way down the driveway (a miscalculation on our part that meant they had to walk our stuff down about 100 yards of driveway) they didn't even blink an eye. I can't say enough good things about them.

One of the reasons I chose Man with A Van was because I emailed them for a quote on a Sunday night, a week before the move, and they got back to me within a couple hours. Every time I called with a question, they got back to me within the hour. In addition, they responded to my last minute texts and made the entire process extremely stress-free and east. The move itself also went very well. They got there right on time and completed the entire move within 3 hours. Every piece of furniture arrived safely. The foreman and the two movers were great guys - professional, courteous, efficient. I couldn't have been happier with them. The only disappointing part was that they charged me $1200 for 3 hours of work, which seemed a bit steep to me. The service was so great though that I would probably shell out the extra money for any of my moves in the future.

This company was recommended by the Westy Storage facility's moving concierge professional. However, the experience couldn't have been more disappointing. I called the owner, left a VMM, and about 10 minutes later received a text message response to fill out paperwork on their website. No one ever called me back, answered any questions, all I received via email (despite the wording on the form that they would pick up the phone and call) was an outrageous quote for double what other moving company's were quoting. Perhaps this individual couldn't be bothered because it was a small job that would take less than 3 hours, but I am still shocked at the absolute lack of professionalism. I can't understand why anyone would use this company.

Their workers were phenomenal. David was fabulous. He worked hard to complete everything I wanted done. He was very accommodating especially to my time constraint. I needed them to move out her stuff one day and move it into a new apartment the next day. I needed the work performed before I went on vacation. They did everything perfectly. It was a great experience and I did not have to worry about anything.

Their service was excellent. They showed up on time. They also accommodated extra boxes and furniture, that I did not include in the original quote, without increasing the price a lot. They were careful with our belonging and made sure to wrap everything properly. They were very efficient and the delivery process was also well done. They were especially careful with moving my piano and did that with no problems. They started the work at eight in the morning and finished around two that afternoon. I was very satisfied with the service and I have no complaints.

The price was a little steep to just move a couch form one area to another. However, they did have to remove the legs of the couch and they re installed them correctly. they also had to help re arrange existing furniture that was in the room. They had to move another couch in the room and re position it. The labor justified the cost. The guys who did the work were very nice and the owner was pretty responsive. They certainly worked to complete the job for me quickly. He came right away that morning before he went to two other big jobs which I really appreciated.

Basically, they did everything Jimmy said that they would do. Jimmy came to look over the items he would be moving the same day I called him. He sent me an estimate a couple of hours later, and said his guys would deliver the day following the move. Six guys came to pack the Hutches and load the truck; they came at 9 AM and were finished by 12:30. We went to Vermont that night, the movers having said they would show up early the next day. They showed at 7 AM and were done by 9:30 AM. They were very careful and polite, making sure everything was put where we wanted it. Nothing was broken, and I have already recommended them to a couple of friends who might be moving in the near future.

They did a very good job. The work was completed quickly. They came within the time allotted. They brought my stuff directly to Englewood and unloaded. I was very pleased with the service and they took care of everything.

I cannot say enough great things about this provider. They were punctual, polite and worked so hard with a smile on their faces the whole time. I would never use anyone else and have already recommended them to all my friends. It's no wonder they have so many A ratings. They earned it.

Moved my mom's 50 year old Mahogany furniture gently, carefully and without incident. All the furniture was wrapped with care and moved into my home without any problems. The movers were very professional and I was extremely pleased with the results. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for movers.
