Jimmy is such a terrific communicator and made me feel like I'm in very capable hands for an impending move. I have literally never written a review before, but was prompted to do so based on his outstanding response rate. Looking forward to our move with him.

Jimmy. the owner, is fantastic. His men were so fast and efficient that they were often running instead of walking. My belongings were treated with great care. Jimmy goes above and beyond with a satisfaction follow-up the day after the move.

I was very happy with the job Jimmy and his crew did. The cost was fair, besides some small items that they took away. They also took away a very old, very, heavy worthless motorcycle out of the basement. They moved an upright piano out of the living room and into the basement. These tasks were done in very tight places, and i expected a little damage somewhere I was wrong there was zero damage. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic. Jimmy responded to my inquiry immediately and we set a date to accomplish the job in short order. Jimmy and his crew listened to what we needed and handled our stuff carefully and efficiently. We will be using his services again when we move. Highly recommended!!

At the end of May 2015, Jimmy & his guys (Man with a Van) moved about one-third of my furniture & belongings into storage, in preparation for my house sale. That move went very well (see my review here on Angie's List). On October 7 2015, Jimmy picked up those things from a storage facility & put them in his truck. That saved me several hundred dollars for the next month's storage fee. On October 8-9, Jimmy moved the remaining two-thirds of my house furniture out of my house, which took up a whole truck. This time, his guys did a lot of packing for me, including dishes, glasses, vinyl records, etc. They packed the stuff as if it were their own, using lots of protective padding, special wardrobe boxes, etc. The problem with this move, was that I hadn't sold my house yet, & hadn't bought my new house yet. Jimmy had a solution for this, too, & he let me store all my stuff on his truck for a few days. This meant that I wouldn't have to be charged for taking my stuff off the truck & moving it into (& then out of) storage an extra time, & this too was a big savings for me. As with the first move, Jimmy's guys were all friendly, helpful, & professional, & that means a lot during a stressful time like a whole house move out of state. Despite all of the positive things I mentioned above, the part of the move that I appreciate the most, was their handling of the my antique furniture, which I have a lot of. These are very heavy pieces, & delicate due to their age & glass parts. One piece was a full size (60 inches wide & 52 inches high) Roll-Top Desk (built in 1892, out of solid mahogany wood). Believe me, this piece is no "picnic" to deal with, & has to be dismantled before it can even be moved through a doorway. Jimmy's guys were up to the task, & handled it perfectly, including the re-assembly of my desk after it got to PA. After they finished putting it back together, I checked everything, & all of the drawers that were supposed to lock, did lock, & the ones that were not supposed to lock, didn't lock. It would have been impossible for most moving companies to get this right! These guys are pros, & you're putting your stuff in good hands when you hire them for a job.

Everything went smooth as silk. They loaded the van on one day and left us with the bed and TV because our new home would not be ready for two more days. On the day of the move they unloaded the van and then returned to the old house and loaded all of the things that were left there for our convenience. They then returned to the new house and completed the move. The crew was more than courteous and efficient. They really were a group of nice guys who knew what they were doing and how to do it. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged. I hope to never move again but if that ever happens jimmy and his crew would be the ones to do it.

The entire move couldn't have gone any better or any more smoothly. These guys are real pros, and extremely nice as well. They arrived both days at exactly the time they'd promised, and also got to my new home literally 20 minutes after I'd arrived. They worked quickly, but at the same time were very thorough. All of my items were packed carefully, and (while I still have a couple of boxes to open), everything was in perfect condition when I unpacked it. They also re-assembled a couple of bookcases, a vanity with an enormous mirror, and all of the lamps, and reattached all of the hardware on the dresser drawers. Unbelievably, the whole move-in was completed within about 3 hours, and it was very much appreciated that they took a good deal of the packing materials with them when they left. Moving is stressful by nature; but as I told Jimmy, this was as stress-free a move as I could possibly imagine. I would absolutely hire this company again for future moves, and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. You will be in good hands with Jimmy and his crew!

It couldn't have gone better. Jimmy, the owner, responded immediately to my phone call. He visited my home to assess the work to be done and gave me a firm quote that was very reasonable considering all the work to be done. Jimmy was absolutely clear about how he would handle everything and everything happened exactly as he promised. The move was done over 3 days. They showed up precisely on time all 3 days. The first day most of my stuff was packed in boxes and the furniture was prepared. Then the items going to my sister and the items being donated to charity were delivered. On the second day the rest of my stuff was packed and put on a truck. On the third day my stuff was delivered to my new home, boxes unpacked, every item placed in their proper place and furniture placed. and all of the boxes removed. Jimmy and his entire crew were a pleasure to deal with. Jimmy's right hand man, Davy, directed the move on site and was professional, good humored and great at his job - He had an incredible attention to detail. Every item from the furniture, flat screen TV, large computer monitor to the points on the pencils were delivered in the exact same condition as when picked up. A Man with a Van & More did a superlative job. Moving can be very stressful but not with Jimmy and his crew working for you.

I am a repeat customer and if i ever have to move again with use them again. In addition to meeting all of the requirements for good movers ( punctual, knowledgable, friendly, careful and thoughtful) they we efficient and incredibly helpful going above and beyond and exceeding my expectations.

It went great. Jimmy and his crew loading everything quickly. They wrapped everything well. We were especially impressed with the care they took with the piano. They handled the move from beginning to end, so it was Jimmy's crew who drove the truck to Maryland (early on a Sunday!) and unloaded everything. Again, we were impressed at how careful they were and how well they did with the piano.

This is the second time Jimmy and his team has helped us move - both times were great experiences. We recently moved from CT to VT and the move went very well. There were a few logistical issues that popped up, but Jimmy was always on top of everything and solved every problem. He also rescheduled his moves to deal with changes to the moving schedule. His moving team is top notch, extremely hard working, courteous, and was very careful with our belongings. All in all, they do a great job, and would highly recommend them for your moving needs.

From the start, we got a quick reply from Jimmy. We had to move a large 2 bedroom into an even larger 3 bedroom. And my wife has a lot of little things just here and there ! JC offered us options that were entirely catered to us. He even supplies all the boxes and tape and wrap. In the end, we did the move in just over 24 hours. Our things were picked up Friday AM just outside of NYC and dropped off in Central Ohio by Saturday morning at 7am. And the movers were DONE before 11am -- with all that stuff. The crew was absolutely fantastic. Amiable, helpful, and communicative. They definitely went the extra mile and nailed all the bed frames together, rearranged furniture ... even put a bed skirt in, to my wife's great satisfaction. They were easily available by email, phone, and text, which really let us 'wing' the move and suit it to the best of our needs. Interstate moving is rarely easy or fun, but our experience with A Man with a Van & More left us impressed and ready to start a new chapter in a new state. Smooth, clean and efficient.

I could not have been more pleased with my experience with this company and the owner/operator Jimmy! I needed some furniture pcs moved within my house upstairs to downstairs and vice vers and I needed it done within a weeks time which I knew was short notice. After I put in the inquiry on Angie's List Jimmy e-mailed me within the hour! we corresponded by e-mail from mobile to phone to mobile phone back and forth several times because I had some questions and I was AMAZED at how quickly Jimmy responded and answered all my questions every time usually in minutes. That just doesn't happen much these days in my experience. He was able to get me the date I needed and even worked it out so I could put in on my credit card which I requested to free my cash up for an extra month even though he just got his system to take cc up he made it happen for me! He came with his guys personally and they were there right on time first thing in the morning. I can't say enough about the two men who did the moving...they were very professional, courteous, tweeked moving things several time to make sure the pcs were right in the right spot and worked quickly. They took great care of the furniture which is Italian and expensive they made sure not a scratch came to anything including my floors. I would highly recommend this company and Jimmy to anyone who needs anything moved whether in their house or a great distance...EXCELLENT JOB!!!!

Service was excellent, everything was packaged perfectly. Furniture was in perfect condition and I have never seen anything like it. Jimmy the owner even sent me a plant. Delightful people to work with. Ice storm occurred during this move. Moved from Morristown New Jersey to Pennsylvania. A very big move and 12,000 was a bargain.

I needed a piano moved from one room to another. The move itself was short and easy, but the timing was critical. Because we're renovating our house, we needed the move to take place at a very particular time -- after floors had been refinished in our living room, and before the painting could be done in our kitchen. We also need the work to be done very carefully to avoid damaging the newly refinished floors. Jim responded to my inquiry immediately, and we very quickly agreed on a time that would work perfectly. Then, because of an unexpected scheduling change on my end that required me to move up the work by a day, he scrambled to get his crew here on about two hours notice, on a Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, they were courteous, professional, and quick, and they did a great job. When our construction is finished, there will be more moving to be done, and I now know exactly who to call.

The team showed up early and worked very quickly. Were extremely helpful and finished much earlier than expected. Really appreciated them being on time and hardworking. Very friendly and considerate. A+ job!

Things with Jimmy and his crew went extremely well. Better than expected. Moving long distance with your entire family can be stressful, but Jimmy and his crew made the final packing and loading a very seamless process. The day of the move they showed up on time and worked efficiently together to get everything completed on time. The entire crew was very professional and pleasant to work with. Jimmy provided a one stop shop for packing, transport, logistics, rubbish removal and document destruction. Jimmy is extremely knowledgable and his crew has been with him for a long time. I would not hesitate to use Jimmy and his crew again.

I'm really glad I found Man with a Van to do my move. They took great care with my possessions and were very friendly and nice to work with. These movers really know what they are doing. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Not good. Not reliable. As for the provider response you are wrong. I did call YOUR moving company. Answering services make mistakes.

It went very well, I have used this company for two prior moves, one of which was a six floor walk-up and again the crew were tireless.

Jimmy and his team were the best. They moved our family from a three-bedroom home to a four-bedroom home. This included a piano and some heavy furniture and other heavy items. We had a lot of stuff to move, including lots of stored items in the attic. The team of movers were extremely respectful of everything they moved. Every time they lifted or set down an item, they did it so slowly. Nothing was damaged in the old house, and nothing was damaged in the new house. We have all new wood floors in the new house, and everything was perfect. They were very pleasant and professional. They moved several hundred boxes. And although we haven't unpacked everything yet, so far we haven't found a single broken item. I even discovered a box of loose Christmas bulbs (that I hadn't packed properly), and not a single bulb was broken. I definitely would recommend A Man with a Van and More, Inc.

Communication throughout was excellent. I got an email or phone response to every question, usually the same day. First stage, weeks before the move, was to wrap and move furniture items going to my daughter's -- they scheduled at my convenience and delivered same day. When I had identified garage and basement rubbish to be removed, they came separately and made the big pile disappear -- that including dismantling an 18-ft boat that no one else wanted to take away. They also took away the usable furniture that I could not keep and donated it to a charity. I got the receipt. On the day before my move, Jim and his crew arrived and carefully packed my kitchen and china cabinet and prepared and put protective wrap on the furniture. All the boxes they packed were carefully labelled as to contents. In addition to the beds, four antique pieces of furniture with marble tops were dismantled and carefully wrapped. On moving day all went smoothly and I was amazed at how quickly loading went. They even reminded me that my outdoor potted plants needed to be tucked in. Jim and his crew of three also skillfully maneuvered everything into the condo building elevator. There was a very efficient division of labor, with guys working the truck and elevator portion and another delivering items to the condo door and moving each one to the room I indicated. The clothes they loaded into wardrobes in the morning, were hanging in the closets by late afternoon. In addition to being incredibly quick, all of the crew were exceptionally friendly and cooperative throughout. Moving is, of course, stressful, but I have to say that with Man with a Van and More, it went far better than I could have imagined.

Jimmy and his crew arrived on schedule, (on the early side of their time frame )introduced themselves and went to work. Jimmy and his crew were professional all the way. They securely wrapped all the furniture in shrink wrap and covered same with moving blankets prior to loading. Any scratches or dings on furniture were pointed out to me prior to being wrapped in order to prevent any question of damage after the move. My furniture was placed in storage and will be moved once again by Jimmy and his guys next month. Highly recommend. No problems, all good. See you in July.
