Not only is Jimmy extremely punctual to the job, he was extremely professional. He and his men did exactly what I needed to do, fast, neat, and saved me from any heavy lifting. Thank you. And I would rehire for any future moving jobs.

There’s a reason why A Man with A Van has HUNDREDS of positive reviews. I had to clean out my parents’ apartment that had 55 years of accumulated personalty. Some of the larger, more well-known outfits with 800 numbers could only give an open-ended estimate due to the possibility of substantial additional labor charges. In contrast, Jim, the owner, returned my call within the hour and then was always easily accessible via email as we hashed out the details, including an estimate he stood by even though the job turned out to be a bit more work than expected. On the appointed day Jim and his team arrived 15 minutes early and cleared out a third-floor walkup apartment filling up a large truck in six hours on a 90 degree day. Jim, Dave and Joaquin were courteous, professional and conscientious throughout the process which included dismantling a fair amount of furniture and leaving the unit broom clean. Moving and cleaning are stressful – do yourself a favor and make it just a little less so!

Great! I did my research on Angie's list and met with Jimmy, the owner. He struck me as honest and passionate about his job and his business. He told me that he doesn't hire anyone off the street when it gets busy, like most movers. He only hires people who love this job. He trains them well and they do good work. After meeting with Jimmy my comfort level was very high. I was relaxed and confident that they would do a great job. And they delivered!!! Important note: Jimmy doesn't price by the pound or other measure. He prices the job and you won't pay a penny more or less. As part of my research, I found many articles about how movers will give you a low price and then you end up paying 50-100% more on the day of the move because the weight was much higher, or some other excuse. I've also heard so many horror stories about sloppy movers, items being broken or lost, and generally poor service (combining move with someone else on the truck, not showing up on move day or not delivering on the requested day). So while Jimmy's price was high, i knew I wasn't going to pay more, AND I was confident my valuables would be well taken care of. As my mother always says, "you get what you pay for." A Man with A Van was totally worth it! On the day of the move David, Joe and Joaquin (sp?) showed up on time and ready to work. They were great! They were polite, respectful of our belongings, and they worked very hard - non-stop. They were meticulous about arranging everything in storage so I could get at certain items if I need to. I was amazed at how quickly they got the job done. From my point of view, they looked like a well-oiled team - they worked very well together. Better yet, they seemed to enjoy working together - I heard laughter from time to time! So I guess Jimmy was right, his employees really do like what they do! All in all, everything went smoothly. I had high expectations and they delivered! I will definitely be using A Man with A Van later this year to move everything from storage to northern VA. Thank you Jimmy!!!

It went very well. They are not fancy but their work is very professional and the price was very reasonable. They worked tirelessly 11 hours. Very satisfied.

There will not be enough space to write all the reasons I urge you to stop your search for a great mover and book A Man with a Van and More. It starts with Jimmy Consaga and is quickly followed by David, his right hand man, and (in our case) Joaquin. Every glowing review tells the same story, and is entirely accurate. In a world where integrity, meticulousness, and honesty have been devalued, Jimmy (and David) has created a company that is thriving because they simply do everything right. A 600 mile move is nerve-wracking (moving around the corner is, too) and it was our great fortune to find Jimmy. His flexibility, his straightforwardness, the professionalism of the people he works with all made the dreaded experience of moving infinitely better than I have ever experienced before. David is so smart, so present, so excellent at what he does, that on the receiving end when Jimmy was unable to make the journey north, I didn't worry at all. There was no reason to be concerned. Every single aspect of the move was perfect. I read as many reviews as possible before making choices - especially about something as critical as movers - so I am going to save anyone who reads this a lot of time. Hire Jimmy and A Man with a Van. They are sincerely as good as it gets (and then some).

My move could have been an absolute disaster because 2 hours before Jim and his team arrived I suddenly got violently ill. I was vomiting and could barely walk so I couldn't finish packing the last few boxes of delicate items. Jim's team arrived and were so kind and helpful. Jim and Dave were very concerned about my well being and told me not to worry. I was in no shape to drive so they took charge as I rested, finished packing and loading. They coordinated with me by cell phone, worked with my new building and the contractors still working in my apartment, coordinated the pick up of the couch and completed the job efficiently. Everything arrived safe and sound, nothing broken or damaged. When I finally arrived at the new building everything was moved in and set up. Jim even sent a follow up e-mail later in the day to check on me. That's high touch customer service. I know there might be cheaper moving services out there but this team is worth the money. I highly recommend them.

Such a great crew gave us amazing service with a smile. Everything we needed was done better than we could have imagined. Moving is a bummer, but the physical part was easy because of these guys. This not a polished front office for some sub-contracted trucks, Jimmy is a real person, responsive and helpful. Thanks, Man with a Van and More!

It could not have been done more professionally or perfectly. Plus the office we moved to was not really prepared for us to come; they were seeing patients, gave us a hard time about the day of the move, didn't help us much at all and were overall, not very agreeable. Jimmy was amazing. He dealt with all the difficult personalities, was professional and worked around all the obstacles. This guy is the epitome of what you want when you hire a professional. I am hiring him again in June when I move out of my NYC apartment to move down to PA to live with my new husband. I have moved a lot in the last 2 years and had one "ok" experience and one terrible experience with movers that had good reviews. I would never use anyone except Jimmy again. NO comparison. He really cares about the job he does and he is so competitively priced it's mind blowing. The original estimate was actually lower, but because I needed him to help me do so much packing and he had to put in an entire extra day, it went up, but it was still very reasonable.

Any move can be stressful, but Jimmie and his crew (3 movers) helped to take the stress out of moving. They were punctual, professional and organized, and kept me informed as to every detail of the move plan. The day prior to moving day, the movers were at the apartment wrapping up all the items to be moved. On moving day, the team was at the apartment bright and early, ready to start moving. As they had wrapped all the items to be moved the day before, loading the truck on moving day went really fast. The contents of the entire apartment were loaded onto the truck in just over two hours. When they got to the new apartment, the movers unloaded the truck and moved all the items into the apartment. Anything that did not "fit" into the new apartment was then either moved to storage or donated. Overall, the move went really well. Jimmie and his team really care about your move. Jimmie was on the job supervising his guys, and has a lot of experience moving people. He answered all of my questions and responded to my e-mails promptly. I would definitely use this moving company again and recommend them to others.

His price was VERY reasonable, and he assured me it wouldn't change. Shockingly enough, he kept his word. His trucks were very clean, and exactly the right size. They were on time, and brought the perfect amount of equipment and packing material. The crew were perfect gentleman. I knew I could trust that nothing would go wrong. John was a superb person. Moving is a hard time, but not with him. He's careful, considerate, kind, and he listens to you! This is the best moving experience I've ever had! I recommend him to everyone! Other movers should use him as an example!

Got a quote from Jimmy within an hour of submitting the form on his website. The form requires a bit of creativity because it doesn't contemplate moving from storage, but there is a space for additional comments to cover things that the form doesn't cover. As it turned out, his quote was a few hundred dollars more than some of the others, but based on a friend's experience, I knew they would be trustworthy. My trust wasn't misplaced. Jimmy showed up with his crew on time and they even moved a few extra items I was planning to move myself without charging more. I had not had professional movers placing the items in storage, so some of the furniture and other items were loosely packed. The crew was very practical and polite and dealt with the loose ends handily. They worked very well with the storage company and the building staff and performed moving jiujitsu by being both speedy and careful. Jimmy was familiar with the building requirements and put me in touch with his insurance broker to get the insurance certificate they require. Very professional in every way!

There is a homemade "pool" in my back yard, that someone had been using for a garbage dump. I wanted to see whether or not the pool was viable, so I hired Jimmy and his crew. I never got to meet Jimmy face to face, but when we talked on the phone, he was professional and friendly. Once I hired him, he gave me a date to do the job. Although he had an accident the day before and couldn't be there, his team were there when he said they would be, and they immediately started working. The men were very friendly, and one of them fell in love with my Rottie puppy, and the puppy loved him as well. Jimmy and his team are top notch, and I would hire, and recommend them to anyone.

OUTSTANDING! I needed a piano moved the same day or the next day because I was having my wood floors refinished. Jimmy called me right back and was able to move the piano THE SAME DAY! His men were VERY prompt, efficient and courteous. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Everything went so much better than we could have imagined. We researched local moving companies and called Man with a Van & More. We spoke to Jimmy, the owner, and immediately felt like we would be in good hands. He gave us our estimate and we decided to hire him. Jimmy and his crew showed up on time and started helping with our packing and rubbish removal. He will even bring any furniture, clothes, or toys to donation centers for you if they are in good condition. His employees are extremely professional and diligent. Everything they packed and moved to our new house was delivered undamaged and intact, something that could never have happened if I packed it all myself. David and Maurice were so organized labeling and putting the boxes in the right rooms in the new house. It made all the difference in the world to alleviate the stress of moving. I give this company my highest recommendation. I cannot imagine how much different my move would have been if I used another company. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends.

Our move went extremely smoothly. I was especially concerned about some delicate furniture (one with mirrors all over it). David and Maurice, the primary movers, did a tremendous job packing each item. If you have any furniture that is special to you, I would recommend using this company because they will take the time to make sure it is completely protected. Even though we didn't expect it, they were nice enough to put extra cushioning on some of the items because they knew that we will be storing our things and then moving next year across the country. For their experience and professionalism, I give these guys an A+.

We have moved many times in the past forty years and of all the movers this was a superior experience. The owner Jimmy was very professional and easy to work with and all of the people who work in his crew were very hard working and accommodating down to the very last detail. We have just unpacked everything and they did a super job of packing to make sure we got everything back in perfect condition. Not only did they do a great job but they did it with a great attitude which made the job of moving less stressful than normal.

The crew was terrific- neat, efficient and easy to work wth. It was pouring rain and everything arrived dry and in good condition. We gave specific instructions on how the boxes etc should be organized and they followed directions perfectly. One of our best moves ever!

It couldn't have gone any better. It was an unusual situation, lugging our furniture and belongings from the 4th and 5th floor of the walk up building where we were, down all those stairs, unexpectedly having to store them for four days on their truck, unloading everything and lugging them up to the 3rd and 4th floors of our new residence. There was no complaining. They worked extremely hard, always pleasant, and THEY WERE STRONG! Jimmy is the very best person to work with, so flexible, pleasant, cooperative, kind, a good man. Things didn't always go as expected, but they adjusted, never lost their cool, and did I say, THEY ARE STRONG! This is the second time we used them to move and if we have to move again (hopefully not) we'll certainly call Jimmy with the Van and More. And now that I know all that his team offers, we will probably utilize his talents and kindness and (did I say) STRONG WORKERS for other needs that I'm sure they are equally good at. I couldn't recommend A Man with a Van and More more highly.

I worked with Jimmy and his team on a house move. I told him up front that a particular challenge was my kids' full-sized bunkbed that would have to be partially dissembled to get out of the old place, and re-assembled in the new house, as I couldn't do it by myself. I was also on a pretty tight budget! He worked with me on everything. Came up with what I thought was a very fair price, bunk bed work and all! When the team came, they were great. Moving is hard work -- they were consistently cheerful and hardworking. They clearly took pride in the work and never seemed frustrated, impatient or anxious to be on their way. They stayed until I agreed the work was done and I was happy. I couldn't recommend more highly, and I have moved A LOT!
