Very well - impressed with the responsiveness of the team. This was pulled together last minute, involved busy people (me!) and getting a COI taken care day of — everything was very smooth. Highly recommend James and his team. Emily as well on the COI. They made it easy.

Jimmy and his team were on time and did a great job moving all of my furniture.

I had a last minute request to move a trunk from the Hudson Valley to Long Island. I had called every company I knew with no luck so I tried Angies List. I called this company because of their high number of positive reviews. I wish I had read the negative reviews first. While I recognize that my job was last minute, they still took the job on. On the day of my job I emailed JIm Consaga asking if he had an ETA for the final destination and he responded with a curt ‘when we get there’. When I called the answering service a couple of hours later for an ETA I got a call back from Jim who immediately started screaming at me as soon as I picked up the phone. I don’t think asking twice in the course of a couple of hours for an ETA is unreasonable. I had people in Long Island who were doing nothing but waiting on the arrival of my trunk. I was told that the driver was polite, professional and courteous. However based on my response from Jim directly I can’t believe this man is still in business.

The guys were great. Would recommend if you need to move. Very efficient.

Went great. They were easy to work with, on time, and got the job done.

Moving from one home to another. The first home had a staircase which did not accommodate large pieces of furniture. Instead, they had to be hoisted over a balcony or stairs. In the second home, an apartment house, a platform bed was carried up six flights of stairs because it did not fit into the elevator. The men did a great job. I have not yet unpacked so I don’t know if anything was broken. But the furniture arrived unscathed. They did an excellent job unpacking, which required placing some items in basement storage as well as on the 6th floor.

Jimmy and his team are terrific. Very responsive and professional! I am a repeat customer and have referred friends. He is always my first call for any move, big or small!

James and his team are like a well-oiled machine! They were courteous, professional, tidy and very reliable. I required help moving several large and very delicate pieces into a storage facility as well as disposing of a tremendous amount of heavy rubbish. (filing cabinets; old stereo consoles, big tables) They also shredded many bags of documents. They came a few days prior to the move to take a look and give an estimate to which they adhered. Everything went as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend A Man with a Van & More to anyone who wants to make their move a painless and even pleasant experience.

Can't believe how well it went. We had heard horror stories about long distance movers. I emailed James and described our move. His really efficient representative came to our home and gave us an estimate. After we signed the contract I had to change the moving date and he was really accommodating. He moved us on a very busy holiday weekend. The men arrived on time and were very professional and helpful. They moved everything out faster than expected, They delivered everything the next morning as agreed. Everything was unpacked and placed quickly, with no damage. This was a perfect move and we will be sure to recommend this company to anyone we know with a move.

James and team were fantastic. They showed up on time and were quick, careful and super-efficient. They made order out of chaos and ensured that everything was organized in an easily accessible manner. Their price was also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them and use them again!

The guys who actually packed up and moved my furniture were terrific. They were friendly, with positive can-do attitudes, and they easily accommodated changes in our needs. They did not scratch or damage anything. ANYTHING. And they carried most things by hand, not using dollies or hand trucks. In short, these guys behaved as if they actually cared for our (antique) furniture, and it showed. I don't think I've ever moved before without having at least one thing damaged -- but these guys kept everything pristine.

Great! I painted the new house just before we moved in and the movers were so careful I didn't need to do any touch up on the walls/doors after they completed.

Don't even bother with anyone else. We hired these guys for what seemed like a simple job of moving a very heavy and large piece from our van to our attic. Their price was roughly the same as others, but I chose them because they were the only moving company that wasn't rude on the phone. The job turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated (with extreme weight, and very tight turns). They were extremely helpful through the whole process, never complained, and went waayyy above and beyond the call of duty to make it work, in a situation that I'm fairly certain others would have decided was impossible and walked away. They were super-friendly throughout the entire thing. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

Excellent David and staff were professional, warm, caring, and careful. James , the owner set the stage. He was responsive and professional and understanding in a both tiring and emotional process. Moving out of a house of 33 years is not easy. He put up with our disorganization. This was a wonderful experience during a stressful time. Jim, David and the staff were exceptional.

James and his crew were excellent. I highly recommend them. After 22 years, it was time for me to move again. I was not very well prepared and did not think of all that would be involved in this move. A Man With a Van & More Inc. was a real life saver. They were able to move my belongings quickly and safely (on a Sunday no less), without much notice. The movers worked so well together and with me to make sure everything was moved and placed to my satisfaction. Overall this was a great experience for me during an extremely stressful time. Please use these guys!

Absolutely EXCELLENT!!!. The majority of my items were extremely fragile antiques including 16 sections of 1880 antique wood barrister cabinets that were in very poor condition. Jimmy's men did a FABULOUS job of handling, wrapping & LABELLING each section to the point that NOT ONE was in any way damaged & was SO EASY to put back together. NONE o my items was in the least bit damaged & when I unpacked, I could see how carefully they were packed. His staff was extremely polite & very, very careful. EVERY box was handled & picked up & put down very, very gently. With any question, Jimmy immediately called or e-mailed back RIGHT AWAY. He personally came to my home to check on things. His staff was obviously very experienced, knowledgeable, respectful, polite & complied with my picky requests at all times & had very helpful suggestions. They also saved me money by loading the truck so expertly, that they did not use as much space as I had contracted for, so I was charged less for the use of the truck space. I highly recommend them & would hire them again in a minute. Because the trucking company had reviews of water damage, I opted to have all my items wrapped in plastic which raised the original fee [Jimmy told me this in advance], but the total price, I felt was very reasonable, taking into account I had a very large house with so many fragile items. They're the BEST!!!

It was not an easy job since some of the pieces were very large for an apartment. However, the movers knew what to do. I had them store some items in one room for future use. They were very accommodating. This was a temporary move and I will hire them again in a few months when the renovations in my new place are finished.

James was helpful and responsive and made a task that was logistically complicated seem easy. I was in New York City, the table was in Tarrytown, and needed to go to Nyack. There were a lot of moving pieces but he made it happen. My furniture restorer recommended him because he would know exactly what to do with a piece of fine furniture, moving it securely.
