Your Renovation is worth the wait!! My wife and I wanted to renovate our Ryan Homes builders grade bathroom so it was more than just a shower, soaking tub, and toilet. Tim had previously completed a kitchen renovation for my mother and father in law so we immediately knew we wanted him to work on our next project. Due to his high demand and COVID Tim was booking out for months, but we found if you want quality work and attention to detail you have to have a little patience. Once the work began Tim and his team were meticulous about the work area, putting up multiple layers of plastic to contain the dust and debris and then ensuring everything was vacuumed and wiped down at the end of the day. Communication was very open with him and he would discuss the day prior what his team would be working on, this included what time they would be onsite and what they may need for us to have prepared (material and color choices, etc.). Their typical day started at 8am and they worked consistently throughout the day, not ending until everything they had anticipated completing was done. This may mean 5:30pm or 7pm ensuring they stayed on the timeline they provided us, he was even opened to working on random Saturdays (within our schedule of course) to ensure there were no delays to our overall schedule. Every other day or so my wife and I would have a question about material finishing color selection etc. Tim would always listen and discuss collaboratively with us, without making us feel like we had no clue what we were talking about. Warping up the work Tim has always picked up the phone to answer any questions or address any concerns with vendors. The best example our vanity was ordered on Wayfair and came in damaged. Even after the job was done Tim came back to change out the door. It wasn't a huge job by any means but he wanted to make sure that it was done perfect. The amount of passion Tim has for his work is unmatched by any other contractor. Every inch of our renovation alludes a perfection that you will not find anywhere else and we look forward to using him and his team for future projects.

We hired Russell Renovation to finish a 1300 sq ft unfinished basement. Tim, Seth and the crew exceeded my expectations. We hired them based on reading reviews online, we had 1 recommendation from a friend of a friend, and after meeting Tim he showed us 2 basements he did. They created a beautiful downstairs living space. The basement has numerous rooms - bedroom, bathroom, weight room, family room and playroom. Here are some things we would highlight based on our experience: - High Quality: the craftsmanship and attention to detail was great. My wife and I are both anal engineers. They did not disappoint. - Very Clean: they took great care to keep the entire house clean. They covered our floors at the beginning of each day and removed them at the end of each day. They used vacuums systems to minimize dust. Every day they would clean up the basement. - Professional and Courteous: All around great people to work with. Not the stereotypical contractors. Very respectful and courteous. - Works With Your Ideas: He took our ideas and enhanced them. He was open to different concepts. Helped us create an awesome layout. They are very creative. There experience buying basements was huge. - Great Contacts For Supplies - Tim told us he recommends people and businesses who have met his high expectations before. The tile retailer and cabinet retailer were very helpful. - Built Ins - Tim and Seth made some beautiful built ins. They did a built-in-the-wall aquarium, built in entertainment center, and built in storage cabinets in playroom. Impressive craftsmanship. Huge attention grabbers when people see the basement. - Cost: the cost was inline with what we expected for a quality basement. We did not know Tim and Seth before, but after they left, we felt like they were our friends. Great guys. Very trustworthy. We highly recommend them for basements or other home renovations. We will be calling them back to renovate our dining room next.

I just wanted to update a review ... it’s been 4 years since I hired Russell Renovations The first time and we still continue to See the benefits from their work ! My example today is that we woke up and my husband realized that our sump pump died. Just think, brand new basement fully finished to everything we ever desired and this could have all been ruined by flooding. Tim being so knowledgeable had righteously recommended and installed for us a back up sump pump that kicked in right away on this rainy day and saved us so much tears!!! Thank you again for all of your hard work and help we can’t wait to plan our next project with Russell renovations !!

Tim and Seth Russell are dedicated to providing excellence and meeting the customer's expectations. They listen well to the customer, going above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. I requested some challenging tile designs and those requests were met with joy and enthusiasm, with beautiful results. The job was completed on time even with me adding some things mid-contract. In addition, Tim and Seth have the equipment to manage the natural dust and debris that occurs during remodeling. Some of this equipment minimizes the amount of airborne particles like drywall dust. They cleaned up at the end of every work day. Tim and Seth were always very cognizant of noise that might annoy the neighbors. In fact, my neighbors continue to speak very highly of them. I will recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a trustworthy, honest, kind, and talented renovation contractor. I am very grateful to have had the privilege to have them create the home of my dreams. I wish I could upload some photos. I'll have to find out how to do that!

The experience with Tim and the family is world class and exceeded our expectations. The job was a huge job that entailed a full gut and custom update to a three floor home that had special requirements. It was a huge undertaking and was met with first rate service and professionalism. 95% of the home was redone, including subflooring for the first two floors. They reconfigured the house by making it more open and functional. New bar/gym and living area was created downstairs from scratch. There were many things that could have gone wrong in a project like this that fortunately was kept to a minimum. Don't be fooled that it's a small family business as Tim will state on the initial call as most larger contractors will overstaff jobs like these to make them more expensive but don't save on time and don't produce better results. They were pulling long hours and rarely took days off over the course of the four month project. To get the flooring done by a deadline we needed met they stayed until 3am and came back at 730am the next morning. Tim is honest and is very upfront about what to expect. We now have our dream home and couldn't be happier with Russell Renovations! You would be remised not to inquire about his services.

Russell Renovations is the BEST contractor I have hired in 30-years. This statement should not be taken lightly as I manage multiple rental properties and have fully renovated three houses. This is a family owned business of two highly skilled craftsmen. They bring great ideas to the table, are very knowledgeable about what the current real estate market demands, and both are very efficient. Tim is a master wood worker. They keep you apprised of next steps and do not "job" hop. Your project is their focus whether it takes 1 month or, like in my case, 4 months. Their prices are very fair and they have outstanding connections with local vendors (carpet, flooring, cabinetry, etc.). They treat their clients like family! They can do it all and more efficiently than larger businesses! Stop looking for a contractor and hire Russell Renovations now! You should also save your money for add ons -- once you see their outstanding work you are going to want them to do more!

Honest. Professional. Clean. Quality Workmanship. This was our first major project for our home. I wasn't sure how to find the right contractor but I can tell you this, I will hire Tim (Russell Renovations) time & time again. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Tim listened to all our ideas. He took our needs, our "wishlist" & our budget and created a space that is absolutely Amazing!!! We have been enjoying our new basement for a few months now and couldn't be happier with the result! A+ to Team Russell. WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Our basement was a large, empty and mostly non-functional space. No storage, no nuthin’. We drew up a wish list which ultimately became a detailed plan with two rooms, a full bathroom, an egress window, new stairs and electrical box, and storage that included many shelves and doors. Other contractors might run screaming from customers like us, but these people—these talented, highly-skilled, hard-working people said, “Okay!” Over the years really good men and women have help repaire and maintain our homes. No one provided the level of service that Russell Renovations provided. We were immediately impressed with Tim Russell’s responsiveness. His communication was great. He was fair in his estimate and realistic in his scheduling. When work began on our project, he and his son showed up when they said they would show up. They worked long hours and honored their commitment to getting this job done on time and within budget. The quality of their workmanship was excellent. They also happen to be delightful, exceptionally considerate human beings. In addition, the other trades they brought in were very good. It was no small feat coordinating all the activity on this project. We truly appreciated all the extra effort and are so pleased with the results! We cannot recommend Russell Renovations highly enough.

Company came highly recommended. I requested an online quote for my project. I was told that there is an 8-9 month waiting list via email. Though I wanted work done sooner, I was agreeable to the delay, if the quote was within my price range for the project. When I insisted I still wanted a quote, I was told there was a $125 fee for that which would be refunded if I decided to move forward with this Company. If I decided that another contractor had a better quote, I would lose my money. I was also told over the phone that this company only does business with Angie’s List and that their $125 estimate fee is clearly spelled out on Angie’s List. I did not originally contact this company thru Angie’s List. The caller also stated that he had 4 calls for estimates, but couldn’t possibly get to them. I never had an experience like this. I have never been asked to pay for a quote and do not agree with this practice. The purpose of an estimate is to be an educated consumer and not to have you pressured into an offer because you all ready have money tied up in it. I wonder if Angie’s List agrees with this practice?

Amazing experience! Tim and team delivered a comprehensive remodel of our kitchen and the results exceeded all expectations. My only hesitation in providing a five star plus review is I know it may bring additional customers - making our wait longer for all of the future projects we hope to work with the Russell team on! When working with Tim and Seth all of the frustration that is so familiar when working with other home contractors is eliminated. Following is a brief summary of our experience with Russell Renovations: - Timely return of e-mail, phone calls and estimate - every single time - On time arrival to do the work every day of the job - Put in extra hours required to meet the project due date - The highest level of regard and respect for the fact they are working in your home and lives are going on around them - Everything in perfect order at end of day, and zero impact/dust etc to the home area beyond the work project - Continual feedback loop and communication throughout a big remodel. Minor adjustments and requests mid project were accommodated in a highly professional manner Add to the above the highest quality craftsmanship and attention to detail - it made for a wonderful experience. Two more notes in wrapping up the review: - CREATIVITY - Tim took a previously ugly shelving area and transformed it into a gorgeous wine display with lighting - STAND BEHIND WORK - I am a little delayed in writing this review … we had a minor issue with an item a few months after job was completed. Called to ask how to address the fix … they were at our house the NEXT day for the fix I cannot say enough good things about our new kitchen, and strongly recommend Russell Renovations!

We have hired Russell renovations in the past and we were so pleased we couldn’t wait to hire them again. This time was for a complete transformation of our living room. Custom cabinets, stack stone, tv moved above the fireplace, accent lighting and new ceiling lights. The work was very well planned, seamless, quick and VERY CLEAN. There was minimal disruption to our daily life which is very important to us with a small child and two working parents. Anna does an amazing job painting while Seth and Tim effortlessly converted the room to a beautiful masterpiece. I highly recommend this team If you want honest, efficient and beautiful picturesque work The Russell family is very easy to work with and Tim does his best to keep the work on a very strict time table even if that means long hours. I appreciate this work ethic and find it very rare in today’s world. We already have our next project in the works for this amazing company.

I think one of their best qualities, aside from their workmanship, is their communication. From day one, we knew what the plan was for each day and how long the project would take. They showed up at the same time each scheduled work morning and left at the same time at the end of each day. We had a kitchen renovation done and Russell Renovations ensured us that we would have a working kitchen during the entire construction. Not only did we have a working kitchen, but they took the time to make sure that the work area was cleaned up each night. Needless to say, we are extremely happy with our new kitchen and would recommend Russell Renovations to anyone looking for a great renovation experience!

Tim and Seth just killed it while renovating or Master bath. This is the 4th project We have used them on. We love it. They make the renovation fun because you know they are going to show up on time and complete the work on time and on budget! They take care to leave your home clean each night. They work hard and have positive attitudes and fun personalities. Regarding the project itself, Tim took all of our design ideas and sent us to the right people and places to make them happen. He especially nailed it by recommending a unique shower door vendor which really finished off the job in an amazing way. There was a lot of extra work and skill required to assemble and fit these huge pieces of glass together. But as he said, it was worth it. Most contractors would recommend the standard door configuration from the premier local provider that’s in every other home. That’s not how Tim and Seth Roll. We missed Anna on this Job but will see her when we go out to dinner soon to celebrate the great renovation!

I was very impressed with Tim upon first contact and meeting him. Russell Renovations is in high demand and he gave me an approximate start time to do the job before coming out to do an estimate. I was agreeable to that so he came to do the estimate which I paid for. Frankly, I think this is a great idea because Tim put alot of time into the estimate. He provided a great amount of detail on pricing for materials and labor so that when I later changed my mind numerous times on what materials I wanted I knew exactly how it would impact my budget. This is fair for both me the customer and Tim. Tim and Seth started when they said they would and had a great work ethic. I actually picked Tim's company because integrity is very important to me. I knew my contractors would be onsite for several weeks and needed to ensure that we were completely comfortable with each other so no stress on either party whether we were home or not and with a house full of dogs. I think this worked out great. Unfortunately for Tim, some of the preparations I expected to have done before Tim arrived weren't done, and I know this caused extra work for Tim and Seth having to navigate around extra stuff, but he didn't complain. Additionally, several of my jobs required custom solutions that required ingenuity and innovation to solve because of space or new crazy ideas that didn't come pre-packaged. Tim seemed to get great satisfaction for having a new problem to solve and figuring out how to beautifully get it done. Tim and Seth are a joy to work with and I really appreciated their quest to make sure I was happy with every little thing - even the crazy ideas. I would highly recommend this team for any job - especially the creative ones. I am already thinking of my next round of things for next year to have them back.

The most important thing my wife and I wanted to look for when hiring a contractor to finish our basement was to find someone we could trust, as I work long hours and would not be home for much of the work. Tim fit the bill to perfection. His work was of the utmost quality, and to be frank, we ended up with a nicer basement than we had ever envisioned. To our delight, his character matched his quality of work. Tim and Seth were always arriving exactly when they said, responded to every email or question promptly and made themselves truly agreeable in every regard. They even brought back our garbage cans from the street! Truly, just an exceptional group of guys. And while I never met Anna, her skill with paint and a brush speaks for itself. Tim also was kind enough to install a television wall mount for us just for the asking. A project like this is bound to provide a modicum of stress to those who wish to endeavour, however I can honestly say I have never had such an easy and hassle free experience. Without hesitation I will reach out to Tim again for any future house project. There's no need to bother looking anywhere else.

My wife and I just had our basement finished by Russell Renovations. Our decision to go with them was definitely the right one...We couldn't imagine a more hassle-free process, and better finished product. I don't even know where to start. Incredible professionalism, timeliness and fairness were demonstrated by Tim, Seth and Anna from the initial estimate, throughout the construction process, and on to the finishing touches. We added a few things here and there during construction, which they never questioned, and then completed each task without sacrificing a shred of quality on any part of the project. The only thing that caused a slight delay was the carpet we selected being out of stock, and the way Tim interacted with his vendors when any problem came up was truly impressive. He's a strong advocate for his customers, and accepts nothing but the best. For example, the day the carpet arrived, we experienced an electrical issue with our house, and the carpet installer (understandably) refused to finish the project on a generator for fear of damaging his tools. Not only did Tim provide his own personal Generator, he offered to replace the carpet-installer's tools should something happen. After some Tim Russell magic, the install was completed that day. On top of their stellar work-ethic, skill and uncompromising attention to detail, Tim, Seth and Anna are fantastic to interact with on a personal level. We became true friends during the job, sharing lunches, dinners and after work drinks. On a side note, I was a little worried about having work going on in my house for 6 weeks with the percieved noise, mess and general stress of it all. However, they became a welcome fixture in our home during that time...it was almost sad when they were finished and not there on a daily basis! Tim's immensely positive outlook on everything, sense of humor and pride he took in his work were big factors in this. Our friendship continues outside of a work capacity, and we look forward to having him return later this summer to put a front porch and new door in for us. Absolutely blown away...no need to look anywhere else for a contractor.

Tim and crew built us an amazing 'man cave' last summer. It truly was a dream come true. So you can just imagine our horror when the power went out and our basement flooded in May, less than a year after the job was finished. Although we had a back up sump pump, it just could not keep up with the torrential rain. Of course, one of the first people we called was Tim. Even with all the jobs he already had lined up into next year, he agreed to stop over and provide us with an estimate to repair the damage. Out of the kindness of his heart, he agreed to help us and indicated he would get started while we were out of town for a week and try to do a little bit every day in between jobs but to be patient as it would take time. When we returned from vacation, the majority of the work was done! The only piece remaining was to subcontract the carpet installation. He worked 16 hour days including Saturday and Sunday to get the job done so we would be surprised when we got home. Now who does that in this day and age. His work is so precise and he pays so much attention to detail, you would never even know there was an issue. Truly amazing work! It was then on to the last piece of the project - the carpet and transition strip installation. Unfortunately, we encountered a few bumps in the road with the subcontractor and his crew's sub-par work. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, Tim did not hesitate to work with the subcontractor to resolve the issues. He even went as far as to offer to remove all carpet expenses from the final bill. Tim even jumped in and finished the job better than any carpet installer I have ever dealt with. He is a master at all trades!!! In the end, everything worked out for all parties. Tim's willingness to go above and beyond to ensure all jobs are completed to perfection and his customers are 100 percent satisfied makes him the best in the industry. How he runs his business is a true testament to his character as he always puts his clients first. Businesses like Russell Renovations are hard to find! Tim and his crew put their heart and soul into every job and it definitely does not go unnoticed. We can never repay Tim enough for everything he has done for us and HIGHLY recommend him for any home improvement project. THANK YOU!

We can not rave enough about Russell Renovations WNY Inc! Our new kitchen is beautiful and is the pride of our home! Every square inch of our kitchen is functional and fabulous! We have received so many wonderful compliments and everyone wants to know who did the work. From start to finish, Russell Renovations WNY Inc put us at ease with every decision we made, and helped us with those we were not sure about. Only quality materials were used, and they worked with us every step of the way. Communication was excellent! At the end of each and every day of the construction, everything was put back so that we were not inconvenienced. We even loved that we were told what would be happening the next day and what we could look forward to. When we walk into the kitchen, it is like a dream! We all now enjoy working together to prepare meals because there is so much room and functionality in every square inch of the kitchen. We actually have family and friends come over to cook dinner with us so that they can use the kitchen, and they can not believe the difference and they love using the kitchen as much as we do! Russel renovations did a fantastic job! I am typically not the one to write reviews but was compelled to do so after the great experience that we had with them. I was a bit nervous with the basement finishing project with as I have had heard the frustration that some of our friends had with their basement contractors. Tim ( owner) was great to interact with right from the start. He was always available via text or email with prompt responses. We made several last minute additions and changes, and Tim was able to accommodate all that and still finish the project on time. Tim always kept us updated with the estimates and total cost. We left the house with Tim and his trusted crew during the project, and they took great care to make sure that the house was kept clean during the construction period. Overall, great work ethic and quality work!! Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience from beginning to end!!! We knew Tim was the man for the job the first night we met him for the estimate. Even though our type A personalities bombarded him with a million questions, he welcomed the opportunity to listen to our likes and dislikes and to offer recommendations based on his past experiences. He was genuinely interested in our ideas and loved the fact we had pictures to help him visualize the project. As promised, Tim delivered the estimate timely and with a wealth of detail. It included a breakdown of the required items and a bunch of options to include/exclude so we could stay close to our allocated budget. Although we had a few questions, we were absolutely satisfied with the estimate and ready to sign the contract. Work was targeted to begin in early June but we were delayed until mid-July. Nonetheless, this was not an issue whatsoever because Tim was open and honest the entire time about the timeline. We admired the fact that he took the time to ensure his customers were satisfied and every I was dotted and t was crossed. Finally it was the day for the work to commence. We were excited yet nervous as we wanted it to be perfect in every way. Well let me tell you. After meeting the rest of the team - Anna, Seth, and Todd - and watching how they interact and work together, we were certain we made the right decision and knew they were going to build us a sick man cave. Their professionalism and attention to detail were first rate. They always ensured everything was completed to our standards each step of the way. A special thank you to Anna for helping us to select the perfect carpet for the theater area!!! Tim also had no problem when we asked if he would be willing to tackle a few extra things. He was always so flexible, honest, and accommodating. In the end, Tim and team built us the man cave of our dreams with a custom bar, half bath, and theater area. There are no words to describe the workmanship. They put their hearts and souls into their work and treated our home as if it was their own. We could not be happier. Tim and his company went above and beyond. The work was top notch but beyond that...always on time, worked as long as they had to for job completion on time, offered suggestions, unpacked and inspected delivered vanities, which wasn't even their responsibility to do, carried vanities up two flights of stairs. also not a part of their contracted work, all in the name of total customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them.
