GREEN DESIRE LANDSCAPING AND MASONRY TREE SERVICE

Very timely, very professional. I would recommend at least checking with them even if you think you're settled on some other service. They came out when they said they would and gave us a detailed estimate within 48 hours.

It went well. Very responsive. After getting 4inches off rain while the drainage was being dug, I decided to add additional drainage. They come out again and spoke to me about the drainage and were very accommodating with the change. We have Been very happy with the work and the drainage works we'll.

We had a lot of work to do, called several landscaping contractors, and decided to give Chris a chance. He had great, interesting ideas for new plantings, had a schedule that worked with ours, and his price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we received. We are very happy with his work, his crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and neat, and will continue to use him to maintain the work he did.

The job was completed professionally and in a timely manner! Christian was responsive to all questions and concerns. He offered information and suggestions without any expectations/pressures to expand the job! I will definitely be calling him for future projects.

I contacted Chris after getting quotes from other contractors. While other contractors failed to see my vision, Chris immediately understood what material and what layout I was thinking. Because of it, he got the job even though his price is not the cheapest. Chris and his crew were efficient and punctual. The patio and pathway look great. I ended up giving him a bunch of other work around the house. It is great working with a young, hardworking, entrepreneur like Chris. I will definitely use him again.

Hired them for lawn maintenance. Lawn looks great. Very punctual. Very happy with the service.

Showed up on time. Great attitude. Worked hard. Did not stop until they were finished. Cleaned up after themselves. I did ask them for a quote on doing some paving which I have not received.

The stone foundation was done very well. They even found large stones to use as a border around the foundation. They leveled the site, put down small stone and white powder that will eventually harden. Then they used blue stone as the top layer. The shed had to leveled a bit more but a job well done. They removed about 60 feet of forsythia bushes in the backyard and another 40 feet along the driveway. They didn't quite get all the roots which is why I gave then a B. But the job was done well and I would certainly hire them again.

The job appeared to be going okay until I heard a loud crash. When I went outside, a large section of the trunk had fallen, taking off a corner of my garage roof, and crushing a section of wrought iron fence. The provider (Tony) said that the rope he was using to secure the trunk had slipped. Two of his assistants were attempting to move the section of trunk, which was approximately 20 inches in diameter and 2.5 feet long. They were having trouble moving it due to the heavy weight. How on earth a rope would have secured it was beyond me. The provider said that this had never happened to him before. I asked if he would repair the damages; he said he would. The provider engaged a relative to do the roof repairs. The roofing portion of the repair seemed okay, but the trim carpentry was the worst piece of woodwork I've ever witnessed - the trim was totally misplaced and it looked like it had been nailed by a maniac let loose with a nail gun. The provider also took the section of mangled wrought iron fence to have it straightened, but three weeks later I had not heard from him so I called and left a message. Yesterday, I arrived home to find the section of fence had been placed behind my garage - it had not been repaired. He did not call and at no time has he offered me any kind of refund. I am willing to accept that unforeseen mishaps can happen on a job, but it is the true mark of professionalism that these errors are corrected. On this job, none of the errors were corrected to a satisfactory degree.

We loved Chris for the "big" jobs - new walls, seeding our back yard after renovation, moving & adding plants. He does a great quality job and his staff are very professional. He is a little on the expensive side though. However, we did not love the ongoing maintenance services. We felt we were being nickeled and dimed for additional services all the time, the bill each month was almost never the rate that we were quoted which I suppose was considered the "base" rate (but we did not know that). Relative to the guy we use now (that our neighbours have been using for years, doh!), his service is super expensive. Great quality but pricey... And I would not describe myself as cheap - I just didn't like how he wasn't upfront with all the addl charges, they just came on the bill without warning or oking.

They did a great job mulching our flower beds and cleaning up our landscape. They came on time and completed the work. We will continue to use Green Desire for all our mowing and landscaping. The great thing about them is they actually get back to you if you leave a message unlike many other landscape companies.

They were awesome. They planted some trees, they build out a little bit more of our patio.

They came originally to remove my neighbor's large oak tree that had crashed through a fence between their backyard and mine and landed on my patio, broken windows in the house, and there was quite a mess. I could not even open my back door! This was Hurricane Sandy, and they were there very quickly and got the entire mess cleaned up very fast. Their tree had actually taken down 1 of my trees near the border between the 2 yards, so there were actually 2 rather large trees involved, and they got both.

The installation work of the sod and masonry improvement went off flawlessly and on schedule. Unfortunately, the sod install did not take. We have disputed with Green Desire why this was the case, but, after some delays and periods of unresponsiveness from Green Desire, they agreed to take up the sod and try again with grass from seeding -- many contractors would not do this and it speaks to Green Desire's character that they offered to do so. The seed seems to be working better. The trimming of trees and shrubbery was only OK. The crew left a large pile of rubbish on our neighbor's property (which we had to clean up). The results were mediocre and it does not seem to me the crew took a lot of care in the work. We were not impressed with the lawn service, which seemed perfunctory and may in fact have caused our sod to die off. Our neighbors complained after the service showed up before 8 am in violation of the town's noise ordinance. Green Desired insisted on charging for maintenance even though our lawn was effectively dead for most of the maintenance period. Chris and the Green Desire team seem well-intentioned, very friendly, and committed to trying to do the right thing. However, managing a quality outcome (at least for us) seemed beyond their capacity.

We went with another company thru Angie's list that have a better price on the work. The estimate was also confusing to read and make out prices. They were very professional and did seem to have a good grasp in there work

Green Desire Service plowed our driveway several times this season. We were pleased with their service. We look forward to using them again next season and feel sure that they will include small modifications that we suggested to them. With that in mind, we would recommend them and give them an A score.

Tony, Chris and their crew did an EXCELLENT job. They were punctual, neat, thorough and extremely professional. They really care about what they do and it shows in the quality of their work.

I called Green Desire on a Sunday morning of a holiday weekend because I needed a large amount of hardened / frozen snow and ice removed from my property. The company ( Chris) returned my call within one hour, came to my house immediately after the call and cleaned out my property. My property was partially cleaned but due to the harsh weather, there was more to do. The snow and ice were cleaned up promptly and he also further cleared the area that was already cleared. My experience with Green Desire was very positive and i would use them again.

He left my leaves in a pile, didn't even bag them and told me it would be an additional fee to come back and bag the leaves. When I talked to him he was very rude, I never told him I wasn't going to pay for the service but I was also never told it was an extra charge for him to bag the leaves.

Fantastic. Chris did a great job explaining the various options for replacing the wall. The crew did a great job with the work. They left the patio and sidewalk next to the wall cleaner than it was before.

Tony spent some time ensuring the trimming he did was aesthetically sound, not just technically sound. He balanced the trees nicely, even where he had to take more branches off. He also spent some time discussing a couple other landscaping options and moving a tree that I haven't gone ahead with.

When Chris came out, he had a very good conversation with my wife and I about general landscaping and different things we could. He went through the the whole processes and he explained in detail why certain companies do different things with with mulching and rocks and garden beds, and he was super friendly. It was definitely a very good experience.

Company representative returned my voice message, scheduled estimate appointment. Called ahead and asked to delay it by a couple of hours which was fine for us - arrived promptly at the new time; gave estimate on the spot. After the estimate was accepted, the job stated on schedule and was completed promptly. Will use again.

I sent a message and within hours I received a call and Chris showed up for a quote at my house. Awesome customer service! Chris was very friendly, respectful and professional. This is a stand up company that I am proud to recommend. They are coming by tomorrow to do the work and I was treated so well I'm writing the review now.
