Chris and his team have been very professional and easy to work with, performing work on a regular basis, offering advice and suggestions to make sure everything looks nice and will last. We asked Chris for some guidance on how to address a few key concerns when we moved in (overgrown trees, dead trees/bushes, ugly landscaping), and he was able to work with us to give multiple options to choose from to solve our problems.

We found Chris through Angie's List and he got good reviews. He came promptly to give us an estimate. I liked that he didn't try to talk us into more than we wanted and finished the job in 2 1/2 days with 1 or 2 other guys. The work was just done last week so the grass isn't up yet, but I think it will all look great. We had a great experience working with him.

They did an excellent job. I was very happy with their work.

Never showed up. and didn't call until 4 days later trying to give me a new date instead of proposing a time or asking when would be good for me. However, by then I had already hired someone else. Cannot say whether their work is good or not. Based on them not showing up and not calling to let me know I would not consider them for future landscaping needs.

Chris from Green Desire is the best! Don't look further! First of all he is extremely punctual and responsible - not a typical contractor! Starting from the estimate process to finishing the overall work - he always was on time, always did the job exactly as promised and within the time specified. What else i like about him - he comes and works with other members of his crew! You can always ask questions and talk to him - he was very tactful and patient with my neighbors explaining all the noise and dust. And about the results of his work - come look for yourself: 1 Howard Ave, Eastchester. I am really proud of how my new driveway looks! and the price considering the amount of work he has done and the overall results is very reasonable!

Chris responded immediately to my phone call with an on-site visit and an estimate within a day. They began work when they said they would, and worked full days with an experienced crew. In the course of clearing, once we could see what was under the vegetation, Chris suggested some designs that included building a short stone wall out of the stones in the area and using other large stones to build a retaining wall at one end of the sloping area. The results were great, and the resulting area is much nicer than merely an extension of lawn; in fact, it is now one of the visually nicest areas on our land. My next-door neighbor observed the work being done, and is also going to hire Green Desires. We also asked Chris to re-build some stone steps (10 in all) that had deteriorated. His price was half of another estimate, and the steps came out very well. I plan to use this company for additional large landscaping and stone-wall work in the near future. They are talented, diligent, and professional.

I found this company through Angie’s List, and at the time they had an A rating. I called the company and arranged for a representative to come over this last Monday at 6pm. I was at home, waiting for them to show up, but they never did . Nor did they call to provide a reason for their absence I called them a few days later and left a message asking them to provide me with an explanation as to why they didn't show up or even call. A recent storm may have provided some extenuating circumstances to explain the company's absence at the agreed upon appointment time, However, my call to them was not returned.

Let me begin by saying that I am hearing impaired and have mobility issues. Because of the hearing issues using the telephone does not work for me. Chris and Green Desire have communicated with me using both E-mail and Texting . For which I am grateful. The mobility issues required that I have someone (my sister-in-law) come and walk the property with Chris. This meant working out a scheduled time and Chris was very open and flexible in this regard. After touring the property and taking down the list of tasks I wanted addressed, Chris provided me with an estimate. The prices where reasonable, not cheap, reasonable. Chris and his team started the next day. I had the chance to speak with Chris as I was leaving that morning and I offered to pay some portion up front. Chris indicated that he would bill me when the job was complete. Part one was the lawn, major clean up the yard, brush and Poison Ivy. When I got home that night, the job was finished and the yard looked great. no complaints. They came back a few days later to clean the gutters. Got the bill from the firm and was not surprised at all. The estimate was on the mark. Part two involved repairing a stone wall built by my father and brother 45 years ago. A section had collapsed and needed to be rebuilt. I thought perhaps just a patch job. Chris told me he could use the original stone and that pleased me because as I noted the wall was built by my father and brother. They were to arrive Friday the 29th, but it rained. So they were there the next day (a Saturday). I had a bit of a chance to watch the guys work and I was impressed by how they did what they did. I had to be away most of the day, but when I got how that evening, the job was done and the clean up perfect. The section of the wall, it is I would guess about 6 or 7 foot long, is very attractive. Nicer looking then the rest of the wall and the final price, very reasonable. I am very please with Green Desire. They have gone out of their way to keep me in the loop. They do what they say and their estimates are on the mark. I will continue to use Green Desire. I will have some project for them next spring along with a few things this year. And they will of course care for the lawn and handle snow removal. Bottom line. Thee folks are excellent. Straight A's from me.

Green desire did an outstanding job on my property. Chris and his team were prompt, did excellent work and did a great job communicating everything that was going to get done. He was very responsive and responsible. I would recommend him very highly and would work with him again in the future.

It went horribly. The owner is non-responsive and tries to get a great deal of money early on because he knows his services are going to be cancelled. The work performed was substandard and not worth 1/10th what was charged.

The company is owned by Christian Gallardo. I had a bunch of different things done the last time I used them. I thought they were great. I was very, very happy with them. I thought their price was fair too. It was a great price.

The job was quoted as 1 days work, but after starting, an additional 1/2 day was required. We were warned beforehand that more time may be needed. While is was a blow to our pockets, the extra work was well worth it. Our home has never looked so good. My husband and I are very happy. Now we have the blank canvas needed to build the beautiful landscape we want. Chris of Green Desire will be at the top of our list for help with any future landscaping projects.

. It was humongous. We have half an acre. He called up and came and did quick work. We had contacted other people and they never showed up. This guy sends us the email on Monday and he came over on Tuesday. We were very pleased with him. He really cleaned up the yard. We tried doing it ourselves but it was too much. They had to remove over 5 truck loads. It might seem that we paid him a lot but it was not a lot. They had to have four people and load trucks. Our town do not pick up our leaves. We have a bin which we built where we dumb the leaves. They cleaned that and the yard and they did a very nice job. They first put the seed down and put some fertilizer down. We had called a number of people but they don’t show up at least tell me that they are not able to do it since it is just a one man show, or something to that affect. I would use this company again in the future. If it was not for Angies List we would never have found this company. I was very upset and we have been through a number of people who come and do the lawn and all, not very good. Now our lawn is looking a lot greener.

My wife and I moved into a house in the Mt Kisco area with badly neglected landscaping. I contacted Chris via email and he replied in kind to set up a day to look at the property and offer an estimate. He arrived promptly as scheduled, walked the property and immediately understood what need to be done. He offered helpful suggestions of the best way to accomplish the clean up. He also was very instructive in identifying weeds to get rid of and plants we wanted to keep (nothing was in bloom). The price suggested for all the services provided was very reasonable. The work was rescheduled once due to rain and Chris was very communicative in rescheduling as necessary. The crew did all the work while my wife and I were not at home and the results were thorough and excellent...exactly as agreed. Chris returned a few days later, as we agreed...again via email...to collect payment. I am extremely happy with the work done and plan to use their services again.

We are happy with Green Desire's snow plowing service. They were usually punctual and came to plow the snow on our driveway when the snow fall exceeded 2 inches (our agreement.) During the NE snow storm in February 2010, the driver came the night when the snow was about 1 inch thick, which was before 2 feet of snow fell overnight. We woke up to the 2 feet of snow, and had to call Green Desire in order to get someone come plowing the snow away. The driver came later and did a good job.

They were very prompt and courteous, but the quote was a bit higher than I was expecting. I would contact them for a bid again in the future if I was needing this type of work again.

He was a very nice young man. I used a number of landscapers and for my purposes I think he would probably adequate. I want somebody, possibly a little more mature. He is very young, but has been doing landscaping since he was 12. It was a question of his ideas and he is one of many and came when he was supposed to come. I saw some work that he did for someone else, but I have very fragile needs from a naturalist. I want somebody who is more involved in building a habitat. Most landscapers want to give you something gorgeous and I don?t want that. I am still looking at people and he had some of that. He was really professional and I would recommend him to others.

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. This is our first home and we were novice when it came to landscaping and lawn care. Chris, was very informative and gave plenty of suggestions and alternatives. He was very cognizant of budget and worked with us so we can achieve our goal. He made multiple follow up visits to ensure things were progressing and provided us with instructions on how to continue maintenance.
