+ -1 moreAt the time of the install all went well, but recently the house underwent a plumbing inspection and failed on install of the Gas fireplace. The contractor referred by Westbury stove did not install the unit to code and now the house doesn't pass plumbing code. I called Westbury Stove and got little to no help from them regarding the matter, they blamed it on the plumber (which they referred). This is second time after the sale I have called for product support and received nothing from them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, go find someplace else.

+ -1 moreThe existing fireplace was redone and made into a gas fireplace. The marble installed was cracked and not seated properly. It took an independent stone expert to come in to confirm our belief. They then reluctantly sent some one to repair the marble after many phone calls. Recently our remote control for the fireplace, which is under warranty, became inoperable. After numerous phone calls and a visit to the store we were unsuccessful in having Westbury correct the situation. Direct contact with the manufacture of the remote control unit proved just as frustrating, neither they nor Westbury returned any phone calls. I wouldn't recommend Westbury Stove and Fireplace to anyone. Thankfully, we found another fireplace venue, Jetmore Fireplace in Wantagh that knows how to treat its customers.
Description of Work: Covered brick of existing fireplace, installed sheetrock, marble and mantle and marble hearth. Also, converted woodburning fireplace to gas burning fireplace
