They came promptly and charged a fair price

We weren’t living at our house yet, but asked Howard to confirm the night before so I could meet him there. It was our new year that day so I left the celebration and family to meet him. I get a phone call 3 mins before our meeting time that he won’t be able to make it. Since his reviews were good, I contacted him again asking if he could come for an estimate. He said he would charge $180 to rule out “tire kickers” and those with scheduling issues. He’s the one with scheduling issues and the lack of respect for other’s time!

I sent several clear, unambiguous photographs to him to get a price before he showed up. See attached photo texted to him He quoted $900 over the phone. After he arrived and looked at the job, he put on a whole show with his helper about what a big job this is. "Those special expensive brass elbows needed, those special nipples, those special expensive..." this and that and on and on. "4-hours in the shop laying out the job." LOL. This is for a job with maybe $10 worth of pex, and maybe $10 worth of PVC. But for the sake of argument, let's call it $100 worth of material. He then quoted $2,750! I then informed him that my occupation is building management. He got very quiet. I'm responsible for the maintenance of many properties, both residential and commercial. I told him to leave. He then lowered his price to $1,700. This is a $400 job. I told him that I was willing to give him $100 above his $900 quote to install a replacement faucet in the kitchen, for a total of $1,000. I only called him and was willing to spend more than double the correct price because I called him on Friday and he was coming over on a Saturday, and I was going out of town the next day, and my regular go-to plumber was not available. He charged $195 for the service call, which I was happy to pay to get him out of my house and never see him again. Watch out.

Pro All Mechanical was excellent. They fixed a difficult heat-plumbing issue we had intelligently. Their response time and dedication to getting the job completed made it clear they were a good choice.

They were incredibly responsive, fitting us in late night on the day of the call. They were very professional when they arrived, quickly focusing on the issue, providing me with options, and then executing on the preferred course of action. I will definitely use them again for any of my plumbing needs.

Installed 2 gas lines and removed non-functioning baseboard. Howie came here and installed 2 new gas lines one for a dryer and one for a gas stove. Did an excellent job of installing the appliances Very neat and organized. Made sure the appliances were installed properly, were level and tested them to make sure everything was working properly. We had an old baseboard that was in the way. He capped and removed it. He left us with a feeling of confidence that the job was done right. His professionalism showed in his work

Blamed poor venting of gas furnace, (which was located in another room in basement) and did no work to correct problem and charged fee for service call, a total rip off. Problem was subsequently corrected by a reputable plumber having absolutely nothing to do with venting of the furnace as claimed.

He walked out - $200 later in less than 10 minutes. When is the last time you made $1200 per hour. If he was intelligent he would have said something along the lines of we normally change $185 plus tax an hour for a service call but given the extraordinary circumstances, please pay me $XX dollars - a fractional amount. I've been looking for a professional and honest plumber for two years since I have home renovations planned in the near future and obviously this is not the company. Very poor business in my opinion. I run a small tech business - our reputation matters always, and we try to do the right thing always. I suggest this person re-evaluate their business practices.

It went perfectly. After we bought our home, we knew we would eventually need to address the old plumbing, but that happened sooner than expected. Howard came by and knew exactly what needed to be done. The work was done quickly and done right the first time. I'd definitely hiring again in the future.

Howard was able to quickly assess what needed to be repaired. He gave us an estimate, scheduled the repair in a very timely manner and completed the work. He was professional, timely, very neat - a total pleasure to have work in my home. Plus, it's two weeks later and no leak!!

Howie arrived on time. He was able to explain the situation and provide options and their costs. He explained all that he needed to do and made sure the faucet was working properly before he finished, tweaking until it was just right. Before he left, he made sure the work area was clean.

He came when I needed him and within a reasonable amount of time. The quality of work was good. The price was a little high, but he came at an unusual hour.

Beware! Really shady business. He should state up front that he charges (exorbitantly no less) for estimates or consultations. The experience I had with Howard Linzer, the owner of Pro Mechanical Plumbing, has taught me to always read all the reviews and not just look at the rating. I made an appointment with Howard for him to inspect and run tests on a heating unit in a small warehouse so my new tenant can get a copy of a certificate that National Grid needs in order for the tenant to have an account. Over the phone, Howard quoted me $600 before his 5% Angie's List discount but in person wanted $650 cash or credit card just to start and that was with the 5% discount. Unfortunately, due to an extreme family emergency, which I didn't know about until after Howard arrived, my tenant hasn't gotten to having electricity hooked up. There is no way to conduct an inspection much less run tests since there's no electricity. Howard was at the small warehouse for 10 minutes maximum, if that, and spent most of that time asking my dad and me a number of questions that had nothing to do with the business at hand, such as "where are you from? (my dad has an accent)," "what other properties do you own?,"where do you live?" (I have a 212 cell phone number), etc. I'm going to law school so I'm able to give the legal definition of the term, "inspection." Nothing close to an inspection was done unless he counts interrogating us with meaningless questions which my dad and I didn't want. I also had someone on the phone listening and they couldn't believe what was happening. Howard demanded $206.50 not for a deposit but just for showing up! He then remained on our parking lot arguing with my frail elderly dad and me (with a bad case of flu) about how his "time is valuable and (he) could be with (his) family" and that he had no intention of returning to do an inspection, run tests and provide a certificate! Newsflash to Howard: everyone's time is valuable not just yours. Things got rather heated (no pun intended) on his end and I'm thankful that my tenant's workers arrived when they did prompting him to leave.

I was very delighted and I would give them an absolute A for whatever they did. They were very delightful to deal with. They were very professional.

Howard was really responsive on the phone, but it needed some effort to get a time slot. I had to call multiple times to get a more precise and confirmed time. Once on-site, he quickly found out the issue and performed the job. He took his time to check that everything was in order, as well as explaining the different components and maintenance routine to perform. His price was higher than expected but I did not compare with other companies as my previous plumbers failed to deliver a professional work. Overall, I am satisfied with the work and would recommend him.

Excellent. Howie was so personable and knowledgeable. He knew what part to get without even seeing the problem before hand. He showed up when expected and did a very neat and tidy job. Very happy with the service.

Process went very well. Howard is very professional and punctual.

I did not use this contractor because after reviewing information on Angie's List and speaking to their representative, giving them all contact information requested, the last item mentioned was that there is an $89 charge to estimate the work. I think that should be stated out front!
