We have a large ranch home. John came out and measured but more importantly, he agreed to match the section of roof that I had replaced less than a year prior. His work was exemplary with a perfect cleanup afterwards. Thanks so much for your professional job. I would absolutely use and recommend John in the future.

We are very happy with it. The roofing materials were delivered before he came. He was done in one day. He cleaned up after they were finished. The roof was done before Sandy and nothing happened to it during it.

I was worried that since I had only a minor repair, that I would have to pay a premium to have somoene show up. I sent an e-mail on Friday, got a return call on Sunday, and the repairs were completed on Tuesday. I am very satisfied.

He was excellent. He did the work without even needing me. I spoke to him on the phone and he said he'll come look at the roof and when he looked at it he said, "OK I'll fix it and this is my price, so just leave the cheque in the mailbox." I didn't even have to meet him. He came, did the job, did it well and trusts me to mail him cheque. he left me a receipt in the mailbox and I sent him a cheque. That was very good service.

He is absolutely outstanding; he is one of the most honourable contractor I've ever dealt with. He responds very quickly.

We thought we had a leak in our skylight. The guy climb on roof and inspected, he determined that it was from the vent pipe not the skylight and resealed it. We were a bit skeptical, but were advised if it still leaks they would come back and fix. Looks like they were right, has not leaked since they repaired it. Would definitely call them again. They were reasonable and responsive.

John Goess and his team were as responsive and professional as the other favorable reviewers mentioned. His estimate was reasonable and done promptly after my initial call. The company is quite busy so its good to schedule them as soon as you know you want to hire them. He was able to schedule us in earlier than originally anticipated and given this weather we were grateful. To my husband and my surprise, they came early as promised, had a ton of guys simultaneously work on the roof and were done before my midday conference call. The yard is clean and no signs of debris were left. He is also polite and courteous, something not always found in the post Sandy rebuilding. Overall we would highly recommend him.

They're very professional. He struck me as a very ethical, honest type person. I generally had a very pleasant experience, overall. They came and they finished the job in one day. He's a very hard worker, diligent and professional. You know, the whole works.

John was very professional throughout my experience with him and always responsive when I called with a question or request. He gave me a reasonable price and was able to estimate the repairs right on the phone without coming to the house and stuck to that estimate. I have since inspected the work and it all looks to be done okay. He even answered why the new shingles were not glued down when I had a question about that. The only reason I was unsatisfied with the quality of work was because his guy supposedly came out to look at the whole roof, but I found that there's a place on the back side of the house that had shingles that are lifted from the roof, but wasn't repaired. I only climbed up there to check the cause of a leak started happening after Hurricane Sandy. John told me that it might have occurred afterwards from another storm, so wasn't covered in his original work. I'm going to pay John, but wasn't happy with the response since my insurance adjustor actually took pictures of the leak after Sandy, so that problem with the roof couldn't have been from something else. I guess shame on me for not catching it earlier and told him about it, but then again, I'm not a professional roofer so I can't find every shingle damaged up front. The only other minor thing was after John's guys left, I went up to the roof and found used roofing nails I had put up to patch the shingles were all over the roof and gutters. It looks like when the guy took them out to put in new shingles, he didn't bother picking up the nails. I had to pick them up so they won't fall all over my yard (where I might step on them) or clog my gutters. So all in all, very impress with John himself when I talked to him. I have some reservations about the guy that he had to come work on my house. UPDATE This provider tried to denied that they performed the work on my house so that this bad review won't stick. I had to send in the receipt to prove they performed the work. Very ireesponsible and trying to deny responsibility. Less than 2 months after the repair, some of the shingles replaced had ripped off my roof. This clearly indicates poor workmanship. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

John came and gave an estimate that was fair and more economical than two others. One other company didn't even show or call. The other suggested I needed a partial new roof on the main part of the house and the entire garage. John didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I had two leaks which his crew caulked as well as caulking the rest of the stress points on the roof. He also replaced half of my roof on my detached garage. There was no need to replace the entire roof. There was also no need to replace any part of the roof on the main house. His crew worked quickly and neatly. He gave me an idea of the life left on my current roof and approximately how much it would cost to replace when the time came. I highly recommend John and his crew. I have contacted John for another very small issue non-related to his repair and even though he has been tremendously busy with jobs related to Hurricane Sandy, he is managing my expectations about helping me with my problem. I hope to provide another excellent update soon.

John Goess was very professional and provided helpful information regarding my roof. He provided detailed references and sample roofing textiles, along with helpful information about roof installation and roofing materials in a professional organized folder. The men who worked for Mr Goess were professional and cleaned up after themselves and the whole process was done in a timely organized manner. I know they did a great job because our roof was done almost a month before hurricane Sandy and all the problems we experienced with our roof before, when we had torrential rain or hurricane weather, we did not experience at all. I am very happy with our new roof and the job performed by John Goess Roofing Company.

From first conversation to completion of the work, John and his crew did a superb job! Scheduling was quick, they arrived on time, each and every worker - friendly and industrious, the clean-up was meticulous, the roof looks great, the price was right! What more could we ask for?

He was delightful. He was very easy to work with. He took care of whatever he said he would plus whatever he found at no additional charge. Hopefully everything will be fine now. As of now, we would definitely recommend him. I think he has a laid back personality that anything you owed him was not a problem. I also think that the people he has working for him seemed very nice as well. He got it done sooner than he said he would as far as saying that it would take longer, and he got it all done in one day.

The entire process went remarkably smoothly, given that the job was contracted for the time of year with the least daylight and the greatest likelihood of poor weather! Everything was completed before the rain started in the late afternoon. John himself was on the roof installing shingles along with the rest of his crew - a far cry from some of the other contractors I've dealt with in the past. The boss (if he's on the jobsite at all) usually just watches. I was hard pressed to find a half-dozen roofing nails in the flower beds after they left. Absolutely amazing job of clean up!! Reasonable prices, prompt, trustworthy and professional. I whole-heartedly recommend them.

John Goess is a very organized person. He delivered on everything he promised in the agreement. He did not cut corners on ice and water shield and all necessary flashing. All shingles were hand-nailed. I am perfectly pleased with his and his crew's work. I received a System-Plus Warranty in the mail a few weeks after the work was finished.
